Skull Bottle Lamp

by John Farrier

Crystal Head Vodka sells its liquors in glass bottles shaped like skulls. This is the same type of bottle featured in the highest traffic post ever published at Neatorama.

Etsy seller Heirloom Claremont sells lovely lamps and wall sconces from liquor and wine bottles. The glass skull lamp, though, sets just the right tone. The seller cleverly suggests switching to a red bulb for Halloween.

Animal Sculptures Made Out Of Plastic Beach Litter

by Zeon Santos

Cleaning up the beach can be fun- if you’re planning to make an awesome sculpture out of the litter when you’re done! These colorful animal sculptures were created by French artist Gilles Cenazandotti, and each one is made from plastic litter and odd bits of trash the artist “recycled” from beaches.

He calls the series Future Bestiary, and the animals which star in the series don’t look trashy at all, in fact it’s crazy how much detail and expression Gilles is able to capture in a well put together pile of waste.

These sculptures are a great example of what can be done with a bunch of junk, a bit of creativity and a ton of glue, but it’s sad how much plastic trash he was able to find on his local beaches.

The Good Fellows - The Name of These Girls Album Cover

by Tiffanie Pfrang

Very nice packaging. I loathe jewel cases. this wins.

The inspiration to 'dress the girls' came from the title of The Good Fellows new album, 'The Name of These Girls'  - The team started a jeans recycling campaign through social network groups and the response was successful.

Through the process, the team worked directly with fans and friends of the group - resulting in unique packaging for each CD. Each sleeve is hand screened by members of the group. The process of choosing one is much like choosing a pair of jeans.

Who knew? I want to go to Bayfield Wisconsin

cityguide_bayfield

Today’s Bayfield, WI City Guide comes to us from Juli Anne Patty, a freelance writer who spent many summers writing in the northern woods of Wisconsin, spending as much time in Bayfield as she could justify. For the moment, she lives in Jackson Hole and travels (even when she can’t afford it), finding stories and home in many places along the way. Today she shares with us the beauty and wonders this Wisconsin city has to offer. Thank you so much for this wonderful guide, Juli! –Stephanie

I would totally paint my car like this. If, y'know, like I had a car and stuff.

If you were asking yourself why anyone would paint their car to look like an awful “paint by numbers” piece, your answer is clearly labeled on the back bumper.
