Man Finds 101 Creative Ways to Use His Ex-Wife’s Wedding Dress

by Dmitry

Everybody knows how ugly breakups can get, and we all have different ways of coping. But I’ve never seen someone handle their rebound quite like Kevin Cotter, who found 101 different ways to use his ex-wife’s wedding dress and became an Internet sensation because of it.

Cotter wasn‘t the only thing that his ex-wife left behind in 2009 after 12 years of marriage. The new divorcée got an unexpected breakup gift – his ex-wife’s old wedding dress. “What am I going to do with it?” he asked “Whatever the f**k you want,” she replied. And so he did.

Together with his family, Cotter started to brainstorm various ways to use the dress. He and his brother soon found themselves flooded with ideas, so they started taking pictures of Cotter using the dress in extremely ridiculous and hilarious ways.

What started as a rebound distraction, soon became a peculiar lifestyle. It didn‘t take long to recognize the potential in this story, so they decided to share the fun with the public. The brothers created a blog dedicated to sharing their uses for the wedding dress. Given its popularity, they released a book titled „101 Uses For My Ex-Wife’s Wedding Dress“ in 2011.

5128 Man Finds 101 Creative Ways to Use His Ex Wifes Wedding Dress
Hammock: “I was afraid to commit all of my weight to the hammock as my brother was encouraging me to. But the dress supported me with no problem.” It also became the inspiration for his book cover.

Car wash cloth: “It doesn’t make a great towel because it doesn’t hold water very well. It didn’t work well as a mop either.”

972 Man Finds 101 Creative Ways to Use His Ex Wifes Wedding Dress
Emergency shelter: “It didn’t work out too well because I set it up in sand, so the support sticks didn’t hold it up so well. But I think in a pinch it would be better than nothing.”

Did a bunch of dogs breakup a fight between two cats? Am I seeing this right??

Having none of that shit today.

“Ay man, y’all chill the fuck out. Y’all fucking up the party.”

I CAN’T BELIEVE WHAT I’M SEEING

Pack animals like dogs don’t tolerate dissent in their group because it weakens the pack’s social structure… There are similar clips on youtube of them breaking up rabbit and rooster fights… They don’t care what species you are, they just want you to CUT THAT SHIT OUT.

They don’t differentiate species because dogs think everything else is just a weird dog.

by ufunk

Crystal Wagner’s Sprawling Installations Created Out Of Cheap Dollar Store Items

Crystal Wagner - Installation

Crystal Wagner’s installations are a combination of printmaking, cut paper, and cheap, dollar store objects. Her work has a very organic feel to it, as if we are about to walk through a luscious forest or happen upon a moss patch. This isn’t surprising, as Wagner has spent a lot of time immersed in nature, spending extended periods  in Yellowstone National Park and Joshua Tree National Park. The large, site specific works convey the awe-inspiring beauty we experience in places like  Old Faithful.

Using items like police caution tape, chicken wire and table cloths, the artist crafts multi-layered and complex forms that occupy walls, floors, and everyday spaces. I’m reminded of green wall technology, in which moss grows decoratively on walls and gardens. It is not only good for the environment, but visually dazzles. This is much like Wagner’s work, which uses  what already exists in our world to create a calming, tranquil environment.

Wagner has a formal education in printmaking, and this training works to her advantage. She is able to refine her installations by adding intricate prints of forms that look like vines and petals. It contrasts nicely with her construction, which focuses more on structure and building volume. These are the heart of Wagner’s installation, and tell us the most about the essence of her work.

Toymail, el buzón de mensajes para niños

by Milena Fernández

lickystickypickyshe: The All in One is the brainchild of...

lickystickypickyshe:

The All in One is the brainchild of designer Chris Godfrey, who said he wanted to give the working man or woman the ‘chance to dine like royalty without the washing up’.

‘Gimmicks often diminish their products to turn a profit; downgrading on the content but selling you something that’s “50 per cent more”. The All in One 12 course meal offers the average Joe; the chance to dine like royalty without the washing up.’

The full ingredients of the 12-course meal in a can are:

-A selection of local cheeses with sourdough bread
-Pickled Kobe beef with charred strawberry
-Ricotta ravioli with a soft egg yolk
-Shitake mushroom topped with filled peppers
-Halibut poached in truffle butter in a coconut crepe
-Risotto foraged ramps, prosciutto and fresh parmesan
-French onion soup with fresh thyme and gruyere cheese
-Roast pork belly and celeriac root puree
-Palate cleanser, pear ginger juice
-Rib eye steak with grilled mustard greens
-Crack pie with milk ice cream on a vanilla tuile
-French canele with a malt barley and hazelnut latte
