Lambert was rescued as a baby and given a blanket for comfort. "He curled up on that blanket and went right to sleep" says his owner, Vicky Keahey, who runs the In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Educational Center. Even though he's a big lion now, he still sleeps with his blanket every night like a little cub. So cute!

Fossils of a prehistoric creature called the Siberian Unicorn, or Elasmotherium sibiricum, have been found in the Pavlodar region of Kazakhstan. Most depictions of this animal show it looking kind of like a cross between a rhinoceros and a donkey rather than a noble horse.

Though the Siberian Unicorn is decidedly less majestic than you might expect, this find is still pretty big news. Scientists thought that the species died out at least 350,000 years ago but that's not the case. These new fossils place it at around 29,000 years ago according to a study published in the American Journal of Applied Sciences.

Kathleen Zuidema took to Facebook to try and find a new home for her three beloved dogs after a heartbreaking cancer diagnosis. Her post quickly went viral and eventually reached Danielle Cochran who was more than happy to adopt the trio. The two women both live on a tiny island in Washington State, but had never met! Now Kathleen no longer has to worry about her dogs when she passes, which is a bittersweet relief. Ugh, this story. All the tears!

Okay, the smile does look a little goofy. A retiree named Kenneth “Wayne” MacWilliams apparently captured this off the coast of Florida and shared it with Caters News Agency. Apparently this is a lemon shark, the "friendliest" of sharks.

Brigit, a cat in New Zealand, sneaks out every night and brings back socks and underwear that she's stolen from the neighborhood. Her humans have tried to find the owners of the stolen goods, but can't seem to figure out where Brigit is stealing from. Or why she seems to really love a particular brand of men's underwear.

The Smithsonian's National Zoo in Washington, D.C. recently welcomed two Fennec Fox kits to their Small Mammal House. The babies are named Teddy and Hokees and they might be the cutest thing you've ever seen. Look at those little ears!

This guy used Snapchat to tell the story of how he found a crow stuck in a fence, saved it, and nursed it back to health. "Russell Crow" eventually returned to thank him... and brought some friends.
