by Gergo Vas

Korean players excel at StarCraft, putting enormous effort into improving their game. We see the results of those efforts in game replays, but rarely do we get to peek over the shoulder of one of the world's top players as their supernatural hands do horrible things to their opposition.

Internet Rallies Against Kickstarter for Nine-Year-Old Girl

by Mike Fahey

When Susan Wilson of Stevensville, Maryland launched a Kickstarter campaign for $829 to send her nine-year-old daughter Kenzie to role-playing game design camp last Thursday, she never expected donations to surpass $20,000. She also didn't expect to be branded and scammer, a manipulator and a child abuser. The threats of violence were also a big surprise.

A Minecraft Player Just Created What Could Be The Beginnings of Artificial Intelligence, Sort Of

by Mike Rougeau
Click here to read A Minecraft Player Just Created What Could Be The Beginnings of Artificial Intelligence, Sort Of My biggest accomplishments in Minecraft so far have been building my dream home (complete with fireplace, library, greenhouse, and swimming pool) and a five-way track switcher that I definitely did not copy off a Youtube video. Redditor AllUpInHyuh, on the other hand, created what he or she is calling "a working neuron." More »

"A colourful, cartoon screensaver that required a constant internet connection."

None of these days, all of this will be yours

We’ve had quite a lot to say about SimCity but I haven’t told you wot I think yet. I posted my initial impressions two weeks ago, feeling like I’d only just scratched the surface. I’ve been scratching away since then, off and on, and now I’m ready to tell you what lies beneath.

Washington DC's Metro Line Makes A Perfect Super Mario World Map

by Gergo Vas
Click here to read Washington DC's Metro Line Makes A Perfect Super Mario World Map Designer Dave Delisle did a really great job recreating the Washington DC Metro Line as a Super Mario Bros 3 world map. With its 86 stations as separate levels, Washington's Metro would be an extremely long Mario game (and a damn good one, with names like The Pentagon). More »

Fez coming to Steam May 1

by JC Fletcher
Fez coming to Steam May 1A Windows version of Polytron's infinite puzzle dimension portal, Fez, will be released on May 1, as revealed by the game's new Steam page. Like the XBLA version, it's listed as developed by Polytron and published by Trapdoor.

The Steam page does not show any new features, but at the very least it'll be easier to take screenshots of all the beautiful things you'll see, and, for the sake of your own sanity, the occasional screenshot of a glyph you hope to translate later. Patches should be easier too.

If you'd like to start the fun before the release of the game, you can ask creator Phil Fish anything on Reddit right now.
