Joking Bad: Watch Jimmy Fallon's 'Breaking Bad' Parody

by Stan Schroeder

"Breaking Bad" fans, take notice: Jimmy Fallon has unveiled his take on the series, called "Joking Bad"

Sporting the signature green shirt, white undies and bald head, Fallon is making fat bucks dealing jokes. He does this with the help of announcer Steve Higgins who plays Jesse (yes, he mentions the b-word a couple dozen times); Late Night head writer A.D. Miles as Hank, and Bob Odenkirk as, once again, Saul.

When Fallon runs out of jokes for his show, though, Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are there to boo him off the stage

Inside the garage that housed Larry Page and Sergey Brin when the world's largest search company was created, Google on Thursday announced a handful of new updates to the company's search offering, including a major update to Google's search algorithm that the company calls "Hummingbird." The new algorithm affects 90% of all searches, and has been in place for about a month, said Amit Singhal, senior VP at Google

Hummingbird is the company's most significant algorithm change since Google switched to "Caffeine" back in 2010 Read more...

Looking in the mirror every day, it's unlikely that we notice our faces aging. It isn't until we look back at photos that we see how much faces can change in just a few years.

Filmmaker Anthony Cerniello explores this idea in his latest short film, Danielle. The simple clip focuses on a woman's face before a white backdrop. In under five minutes, the character ages decades, from a very young child to an older woman

Cerniello told Mashable that the video is based around a friend, Danielle, and photographs of her cousins and relatives. After scanning the individual photographs, he searched for similarities in bone structure among the women Read more...

by Vignesh Ramachandran

Scientists at Princeton University have designed a bionic ear that can hear better than human ears. And get this: It was printed using an off-the-shelf 3D printer.

We've heard of 3D printers someday building human organs before, but what's noteworthy about this project is this printed ear intertwines embedded electronics. These Princeton researchers basically 3D-printed cells and nanoparticles, and then combined a small coil antenna with cartilage to create this "bionic" ear, according to the university.

The result was a fully-functional organ that can hear radio frequencies a million times higher than our human ears, lead researcher Michael McAlpine told Mashable. Read more...

Founded by Tarun Pondicherry and Josh Chan, LightUp magnetic building blocks that can teach anyone about how electronics work.

The interactive blocks are different electronic components, like a battery, light sensor, LED, variable resistor, button, buzzer, wire blocks and more. When snapping together the various magnetic blocks, kids and teens can build projects like a night light and dimmer switch, to more advanced projects like a remote control and a wireless (infrared) transmitter.
