Honored to share that I’m in Brazil this week for one of the world’s premier deep plane facelift meetings, invited to speak on the anatomy of facelift surgery and on techniques I’ve developed to make these procedures safer and more effective for patients. So honoured to be invited as faculty at @deepplanebrazil.lm this year. Being part of one of the world’s leading meetings dedicated entirely to deep plane facelift surgery was truly inspiring. With more than 20 years of experience in plastic surgery, and a focused practice in facelift and neck lift surgery on Vancouver Island and in Vancouver, I can genuinely say this was the most valuable facial rejuvenation meeting I have ever attended. The level of anatomical detail, technical discussion, and openness in sharing techniques was exceptional. Over several intense days of cadaver labs and lectures, we explored advanced deep plane concepts, refined approaches to the neck and midface, and discussed how to achieve natural, long‑lasting results while maintaining each patient’s unique identity. Learning from both Brazilian and international experts pushed me to elevate my own techniques even further. What impressed me most was the truly global nature of the faculty and attendees. Surgeons joined from every continent, all committed to safer surgery, better outcomes, and constant improvement for our patients. New friendships and collaborations were formed in the lab, in the lecture hall, and over dinners after long days of learning. I’m excited to bring these insights back to my patients in British Columbia, applying the latest evidence-based deep plane facelift principles to deliver results that are elegant, balanced, and designed to age gracefully over time.
