Green Arrow and the Canaries: The CW Still "In Active Discussions"

by Ray Flook

With The CW giving series pick-up to Kung Fu and The Republic of Sarah and rolling The Lost Boys and Maverick, Arrow fans (as well as fans of The 100) were probably feeling a wee bit nervous about their respective series' spin-off's chances. During a Thursday conference call to discuss the network's Fall 2020 and January 2021 schedules, CW President and CEO Mark Pedowitz offered hope by saying both Green Arrow and the Canaries and the untitled The 100 spinoff were still "very much alive". As for what "alive" means, that's where things get interesting because it sounds like they might be going in a different direction with how they're handled: "They are very much in active discussions to see what we can do. I've had many discussions with Warner Bros, we have a strategy involved hopefully, we can pull it off."

The CW announced in September 2019 that it was moving forward with another Emerald Archer spinoff (remember The Flash?), with this one focusing on Katherine McNamara's Mia Queen, as well as Canaries Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) and Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy). Together, they form Green Arrow and the Canaries. Before Stephen Amell-fronted Arrow shuffled off the network's programming mortal coil, a backdoor pilot titled "Green Arrow and the Canaries" aired as a regular-season episode. Set in Star City in 2040, the episode finds Mia with everything she could have ever wanted. But when Laurel and Dinah suddenly show up in her life again, things took a shocking turn and her "perfect world" would never be the same again. Written by Arrow showrunner Beth Schwartz and co-creator/executive producer Marc Guggenheim, executive producer Jill Blankenship and co-executive producer Oscar Balderrama, the episode was directed by Tara Miele. Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros Television are producing the project.

Last month, Schwartz spoke to ET about the pilot and revealed one of the subjects (and characters) she wants to focus on should a series order happen: "As we're still working on a spinoff and we're talking about those things is, Dinah Drake's background [is something I'd like to focus on]. We had so many stories about her family and what her life was before. We had the great story with her and [her late boyfriend] Vinny, but there was so much more to her character, which is why, in the backdoor pilot, she talks about getting married [young] and she's a singer. There were all these things [about her we didn't know]. And Laurel's like, 'Who are you?' Because it was kind of the joke that we had amongst ourselves because we've talked about all these stories and we just didn't have a chance to get them out."

Sweet Tooth Adapt Heads to Netflix; Will Forte, Josh Brolin Attached

by Ray Flook
Corey

I loved this comic. Well done and weird.

In yet another example of Hulu's loss is the streaming giant's gain, Netflix has given a green light for an eight-episode, live-action series based on Jeff Lemire's Vertigo (a DC Comics imprint) comic book series Sweet Tooth, produced by Robert Downey Jr. and Susan Downey for Team Downey. Christian Convery (Beautiful Boy), Nonso Anozie (Game of Thrones), Adeel Akhtar (The Big Sick), and Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth) are set to star, with James Brolin (Avengers: Endgame) attached as the voice of the show's narrator.

Written by executive producers and showrunners Jim Mickle (Hap and Leonard) and Beth Schwartz (Arrow), Sweet Tooth introduces viewers to Gus (part deer, part boy), who leaves his home in the forest to find the outside world ravaged by a cataclysmic event. He joins a ragtag family of humans and animal-children hybrids like himself in search of answers about this new world and the mystery behind his hybrid origins. Mickle has also been tapped to direct as well as write, as he was for the Team Downey-produced Hulu pilot. Schwartz, Mickle, Downey Jr., and Downey executive produce alongside Team Downey's Amanda Burrell and Linda Moran. Evan Moore is set to produce the series, which hails from Warner Bros. TV.

Jeff Lemire's Sweet Tooth is coming to Netflix.

Published by DC Comics' Vertigo imprint from September 2009 to January 2013 and spanning 40 issues, here a look at the first volume of Lemire's series:

Jeff Lemire's acclaimed new series introduce Gus, a rare new breed of human/animal hybrid who was raised in isolation following a pandemic that struck a decade earlier. Now, with the death of his father, he's left to fend for himself . . . until he meets a hulking drifter named Jepperd, who promises to help him. Jepperd and Gus set out on a post-apocalyptic journey into the devastated American landscape to find 'The Preserve,' a refuge for hybrids.

Zoë Bell Fights Nearly Every Famous Woman in Hollywood in This Quarantine Fight Scene

by Julie Muncy
Corey

LOVE these

One big gap in all of our nerd lives during the drought in Hollywood releases brought on by the pandemic is the lack of good fight choreography. Crunchy, thrilling, silly, engaging fight scenes are some of my biggest delights in genre fiction, and oh, do I miss them. So does stuntwoman, actress, and stunt…

Becky Trailer Shows Kevin James As You Have Never Seen Him Before

by Jeremy Konrad
Corey

“No...really watch.”

Becky debuted its trailer today, and boy does Kevin James look different in this one. The thriller pic stars Lulu Wilson (Annabelle: Creation), Joel McHale (Community), and Kevin James (The King of Queens). It was initially supposed to debut at this year's festival, but since that was canceled, it will now come to VOD streaming. It will be released on June 5th. Becky is directed by Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott, with a script from Nick MorrisRuckus Skye, and Lane Skye. Also starring in the film are Amanda Brugel (The Handmaid's Tale) and Robert Maillet (Sherlock Holmes). Check out the trailer below.

Becky Looks Fantastic

"Spunky and rebellious, Becky (Lulu Wilson) is brought to a weekend getaway at a lake house by her father Jeff (Joel McHale) in an effort to try to reconnect. The trip immediately takes a turn for the worse when a group of convicts on the run, led by the merciless Dominick (Kevin James), suddenly invade the lake house."

Thriller Becky will hit VOD streaming services on June 5th. Credit Quiver Distribution

I cannot get over the appearance of Kevin James in this film. I understand now why they have kept it under wraps for so long, as it is actually a little jarring when he is onscreen. He is so cold, dare I say menacing. And how good does Lulu Wilson look here? She is sure to be a breakout star over the next few years, and this could one hundred percent be the role that gets her there. I was optimistic about Becky just reading about it, but after the trailer, I could not be more excited to check it out when it hits streaming VOD on June 5th. Make sure to put this one on your radar.

Trailer For Danny TreJo Documentary Inmate #1 Debuts

by Jeremy Konrad

Danny Trejo is the subject of a new documentary on his life, titled Inmate #1: The Rise of Danny Trejo releasing on July 9th. Trejo has had quite an exciting life, and it feels like this documentary should have come out ages ago. Featuring interviews with tons and tons of the actor's collaborators from over the years, but this is also a story of the struggles the man has gone through and overcome in his 75 years. The press for the film is correct; at this point, Danny Trejo is a worldwide icon, and to think we rarely got to meet the man onscreen who has brought joy to so many is crazy. Check out the poster, synopsis, and trailer for the film below.

Chris Pratt Returns to Series Television in Amazon's The Terminal List

by Ray Flook

Fans of Chris Pratt who enjoyed seeing him back on the small screen for the Parks and Recreation charity special might want to pay attention to this next item. The Everwood and Parks & Rec alum is set to star in and executive produce The Terminal List for Amazon Studios, a series adaptation of Jack Carr's bestselling novel. Directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, What's My Name: Muhammad) and written by David DiGilio (Strange Angel), the series will serve as a co-production between Amazon Studios and Civic Center Media, MRC's joint TV venture with UTA, in association with MRC Television.

Pratt is looking to make the series as authentic as possible, having veterans and their families serve in multiple aspects of the production process. Half of the series' writing staff are either veterans or have veterans in their families. Pratt negotiated the rights to the novel from author, former Navy SEAL, and special ops team leader Carr, bringing it to Fuqua before the two approached MRC. DiGilio will executive produce with Pratt via his Indivisible Productions, with Fuqua executive producing via his Fuqua Films banner.

Jack Carr's The Terminal List is coming to Amazon Prime, courtesy of Atria/Emily Bestler Books.

Published in 2018 by Atria/Emily Bestler Books, here's a look at Carr's novel, The Terminal List:

A Navy SEAL has nothing left to live for and everything to kill for after he discovers that the American government is behind the deaths of his team in this ripped-from-the-headlines political thriller.

On his last combat deployment, Lieutenant Commander James Reece's entire team was killed in a catastrophic ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government.

Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward avenging the deaths of his family and teammates. With breathless pacing and relentless suspense, Reece ruthlessly targets his enemies in the upper echelons of power without regard for the laws of combat or the rule of law.

Reno 911 Offers Best of Dangle, Wiegel and Junior; New Quibi Previews

by Ray Flook

Comedy Central favorite Reno 911! makes an arresting return this Monday, with original series creators, writers, and cast members Robert Ben Garant, Thomas Lennon, and Kerri Kenney-Silver bringing the dysfunctional Dangle (Lennon) and his deputies to Quibi for a new season protecting the mean streets of Nevada. To get everyone up-to-speed on the "who's who" and offer longtime fans a nice trip down memory lane, the short-form content service is looking back at the best that Lt. Dangle, and Deputies Trudy Wiegel (Kenney-Silver) and Travis Junior (Garant) had to offer in the following feature videos. Just make sure to stay through until the end.

The crew from Reno 911! are back, courtesy of Quibi.
The crew from Reno 911! are back, courtesy of Quibi.

Because at the end of each clip, there's also a preview of the upcoming season on Quibi. In the first, we see Dangle showing off his insane parkour skills. Now if only his skills at paying attention and reading a GPS were as strong. Following that, deputies Wiegel and Jones (Cedric Yarbrough) institute "Operation: Frown Upside Down." Let's just say that someone isn't a Jennifer Lopez and Awkwafina fan. Finally, wonderfully well-played mind-f**k leaves Dangle in the middle of an existential crisis (and in the middle of the street).

Originally running from 2003 to 2009 on Comedy Central, the mockumentary-style series parodied popular "crime cam" series such as Cops and developed a strong fan-following based on the combination of the cast's improv skills and dysfunctional family feel with the show's unscripted vibe. Nevada's finest found themselves taking a trip to the big screen with 2007 feature film Reno 911!: Miami. Niecy Nash, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Cedric Yarbrough, Carlos Alazraqui, Ian Roberts, Joe LoTruglio, and Mary Birdsong have returned for the new season. Peter Principato of Artists First executive produces alongside with Danny DeVito, Michael Shamberg, and Stacey Sher of Jersey Television. Comedy Central Productions is set to produce, with more casting news set to come before the series' May 4 premiere.

Comedy Central Original Content co-heads Sarah Babineau and Jonas Larsen are excited to give the show's fanbase what they've been asking for, for some time: "We are very excited to partner with Ben, Kerri and Tom, three of the most gifted multi-hyphenates in comedy, to bring more of their iconic series 'Reno 911!' to the world. Fans demanded this for a long time and Comedy Central Productions and Quibi are thrilled to help answer that kind of 911 call." Reno 911! is the second project Lennon has set up at the service, with comedy series Winos also expected to premiere some time this year.

Latest AEW Dynamite Bubbly Bunch Featured Star-Studded Melee

by Jude Terror

Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle debuted another episode of The Bubbly Bunch on AEW Dynamite Wednesday, and it truly took things to the next level. The episode began with some debate over who won last week's Flim Flam challenge, but the group eventually decided to move on and hold a Manitoba Melee. And oh, what a Manitoba Melee it was.

As you can see, the melee featured cameos by some of the biggest stars in wrestling and some of the biggest stars outside of wrestling as well. Soul Train Jones was involved. Vicki Guerrero was there. Lou Ferrigno, the Incredible Hulk himself, was involved with a taser. James Garretson from Tiger King fame was there. Chris Jericho's famous hockey playing dad, Ted Irvine, was there as well. Both Jay and Silent Bob were involved in the melee. Slipknot's Corey Taylor was in it. Duff McKagen of Guns N' Roses fame.  And of course, it wouldn't be a Manitoba Melee without Hornswoggle.

Lou Ferrigno appears on The Bubbly Bunch on AEW Dynamite. [Broadcast Screencap/AEW]
Did we miss any? Probably. Watch it above and see for yourself, and then let us know in the comments. All we know is that AEW is making the best of a bad situation, and Dynamite has been consistently entertaining week after week, even in a tiny building, even with just a few wrestlers as a crowd. Was this week's Bubbly Bunch silly? Of course. But it brings joy to see a bunch of people having fun. Duff god damn McKagen. Awesome.

AEW airs Wednesdays at 8PM on TNT. Aren't you watching? What the hell else do you have to do these days?

Looking Back at Better Call Saul Season 5's Breaking Bad Easter Eggs

by Ray Flook

With the sixth and final season of Better Call Saul expected to haunt our screens some time in 2021, Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould have positioned the series to end on a strong (and very, very violent) note. Nacho's (Michael Mando) out on his own and under the assumption that Lalo's (Tony Dalton) dead so he's looking to head back into Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) and Mike's (Jonathan Banks) good graces. Small problem: Mike's hired guns didn't get the job done, so Lalo's alive. He's also very, very angry, and heading his way north while everyone still thinks he's dead. That's not good news for Nacho, Gus, Mike, Jimmy/Saul (Bob Odenkirk), or Kim (Rhea Seehorn). Meanwhile, Kim is embracing the "breaking badness" of Saul as she pushed the idea of taking down Howard (Patrick Fabian) by forcing a resolution in the Sandpiper case while leading to Howard's professional humiliation. Jimmy seems hesitant and concerned at first, but Saul sees the endless possibilities (or at least $1 million worth of possibilities).

Hank and Jimmy/Saul meet for the first time on Better Call Saul, courtesy of AMC.
Hank and Jimmy/Saul meet for the first time on Better Call Saul, courtesy of AMC.

So where does this leave things heading into the series' final run, when Better Call Saul hands off the baton to Breaking Bad, and Walter White and Jesse Pinkman's story? The lines between the two show worlds have gotten understandably more blurred this season, and go far beyond the appearance of the late Robert Forster's Ed the Fixer or Hank (Dean Norris) and Gomez (Steven Michael Quezada). Thankfully, the fine folks at AMC have released a video that catches everyone up what they might've missed along with perspectives from the cast and creative folks.

Not that he's against the idea considering the writers he works with, but one thing Odenkirk doesn't see happening is Jimmy and Kim still being together once the dust settles on the series: "I don't see how they possibly stay together. It could happen, and if anybody can figure it out, these writers can. But, I don't know, man, I don't see it. Saul had a care-free energy in him in Breaking Bad; a loner who didn't have to worry about anyone else. I don't see how he has that energy and still has Kim in his life, he's taking chances like working with Walter White."

Now Marvel Comics Offers Virtual Backgrounds for Zoom Conferincing

Following in the footsteps of rival DC Comics, Marvel Comics has released a set of fantastic virtual backgrounds for use in video conference call software. Now, you can pretend to be delivering the latest revenue statistics to your boss from exotic locales around the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel Comics Universe backgrounds are also available. All you need is a computer with adequate graphics processing power to use the images.

"Taking a video call in your living space with your regular home background is typical, mundane, and not at all dangerous," said the publisher in a press release. "But taking a video call with an Avengers approved background is exciting, heroic, and will definitely make your co-workers think you're working from Asgard. As more and more communication for work, fun, and play happens over our computer screens, we've assembled some video call backgrounds that you can use. Taking some of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most iconic locations, have fun swapping out the backdrop of your kitchen for a sweeping landscape of Wakanda."

Virtual Backgrounds for a Virtual World

Thanks to stay-at-home orders, more and more businesses are using video conferencing for teams to collaborate. But even if you aren't using Zoom or similar conferencing software for business, it's still useful. Netflix Chris Hemsworth Action Thriller Extraction Debuts Trailer

by Jeremy Konrad

The trailer for Netflix thriller Extraction has finally debuted online. The Chris Hemsworth action vehicle debuts on the service this month, and they waited a long time to show off footage. That is also something Netflix will do from time to time, waiting as long as possible to show footage so they can build buzz in a short window. It has certainly worked here, as anticipation for Extraction has built more than it would have. The film is a reunion of sorts for the MCU, as Chris Hemsworth teams with Black Widow star David Harbour, the film is produced by The Russo Brothers, and is directed by Sam Hargrave, who has been a unit director on many MCU films.

The Poster for the Netflix Film Extraction starting Chris Hemsworth.
The Poster for the Netflix Film Extraction starting Chris Hemsworth.

Extraction Trailer is Action-Packed

Chris Hemsworth is making his bid to become a massive action star with this film. It looks like it is his film to carry from the trailer. Hemsworth did most of his own stunt work in the movie, and that can make all the difference in a movie like this. "Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) is a fearless black market mercenary who embarks on the deadliest mission of his career when he's enlisted to rescue the kidnapped son of an international crime lord. Extraction is directed by Sam Hargrave. This action-packed, edge-of-your-seat thriller is produced by Joe and Anthony Russo, the visionary directors of Avengers: Endgame." Check out the trailer for yourself below.

This looks like a good action film. It has been a while since I gave not-Thor Chris Hemsworth the time of day, but it seems like he is doing good work here. As stated above, it looks like he is in every scene of this film, so it will be a sink or swim on his performance. I am getting a Triple Frontier vibe off this one, and I am liking that Netflix has become a go-to outlet for big-budget action films. Without them, who knows if Extraction even gets made. Extraction, produced by The Russo Brothers, and starring Chris Hemsworth, David Harbour, and Rudhraksh Jaiswal and directed by Sam Hargrave goes live on Netflix on April 24th.

Bob Dylan Releases 17 Minute Song About the JFK Assassination

by Jeremy Konrad

Bob Dylan has not released a new original album in 8 years, Tempest back in 2012. At midnight last night, following earlier in the day when Nine Inch Nails surprise dropped two new albums, Dylan released the new song "Murder Most Foul". The 17 minute long track is about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Well, that and in trademark Dylan style, the 60's and 70's as a whole really.

Greetings to my fans and followers with gratitude for all your support and loyalty over the years.

"This is an unreleased song we recorded a while back that you might find interesting.

"Stay safe, stay observant and may God be with you.

"Bob Dylan"

Editorial credit: Christian Bertrand / Shutterstock.com

There is already a ton of debate about when this song may have been recorded. It sounds an awful lot like the soft spoken, more tender vocals from the last few years of touring. The track also is so free-wheelin' that it is hard to break it down into separate stanzas. This also has now become Bob Dylan's longest recorded track, taking the title from "Highlands".

Dylan's representatives have noted that the above statement by the singer will be the only information released about "Murder Most Foul". Although rumors of him releasing his first original material album in eight years in 2020 abound, nothing has been confirmed.

"Locke & Key": Netflix Officially Unlocks Season 2 Order

by Ray Flook

Clearly, the folks at Netflix read our review of Locke & Key and trusted our judgement (let us have this one, okay?). On Monday, the streaming service announced that its series adaptation of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez's comic book will be returning for a second season.

While the news may not come as that big of a suprise to those who've seen it, during a time when the coronavirus pandemic is shutting down productions left and right? No additional details were released, but we'll take what we can get because it's nice to get a little good news for once…

more keys, more demons, more aloha 🖕Locke & Key is officially returning for season two!!

A post shared by Locke & Key (@lockeandkeynetflix) on

Last month, series co-showrunner Meredith Averill spoke about what she would change (and keep the same) "if" the series is assigned a second set of keys. Proudly preferring "suspense and tension" over "gory and graphic" when it comes to horror, Averill revealed that the second season would retain the first season's tone – but with the kids getting older and also more experienced with the keys and their powers, the topics, situations, and enemies they face will have to grow and deepen:

"The first season, we always thought of as being the story of the kids learning that they're the new Keepers of the Keys. With season two, we want to explore what that responsibility means. What does it mean as they get closer to being 18 years old—the age when you age out of magic—what does that mean? What does that look like? We cover so much of the comics in the first season, but there's so much of the lore that we held back on and new keys we created for the show that we're excited to share.

Tonally, I think we intend to keep the show the same, but we do want to deepen the characters' lives and the issues they're dealing with. The older kids are moving closer to their graduation, and while grief is something that you never fully let go of, the kids are going to be able to begin moving on because, at least for now, they know the truth of what happened to him. If you can believe it, the Locke kids are going to be dealing with things far heavier than the death of their father in season two."

Netflix's adaptation of the horror/fantasy comic book series focuses on the Locke siblings – Kinsey (Emilia Jones), Tyler (American Crime's Connor Jessup), and Bode (Jackson Robert Scott) – who move to their ancestral home in Massachusetts with their mother Nina (Darby Stanchfield) after the gruesome murder of their father, only to find the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities. Standing in their way is a devious demon who also wants the keys and will stop at nothing to attain them.

The first season of Netflix's Locke & Key also starred Petrice Jones, Thomas Mitchell Barnet, Laysla De Oliveira, Kevin Alves, Asha BromfieldGriffin Gluck, Steven Williams, Felix Mallard, Coby Bird, Sherri Saum, and Eric Graise.

The 2019 Black List Showcases This Year’s Best Unproduced Screenplays – Here Are Our Ten Favorites

by Ben Pearson
Corey

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent

2019 Black List

The 2019 Black List has arrived.

This fifteenth annual edition surveyed more than 250 executives in the film industry, of the year’s most-liked scripts that have not started or will not begin production in this calendar year. This list has long been an indicator of great scripts which could result in great movies, and previous entries have included scripts for films like Whiplash, The Social Network, The Prestige, Arrival, Manchester by the Sea, Argo, Juno, In Bruges, and countless more. Check out the full list of 2019 entries below, as well as ten of our favorites from these selections.

The Black List is the brainchild of Franklin Leonard, a former executive who collected emails from several industry colleagues and turned it into a document that went viral at agencies and production companies. He’s since grown it into a full-blown organization – I’d encourage you to listen to Leonard talk about it in his own words on a recent episode of Write Along, an excellent writing podcast hosted by The /Filmcast’s David Chen. But without further adieu, let’s get into some of our favorite descriptions of scripts on this year’s Black List.

‘The Griswolds’ Comedy Based On National Lampoon’s ‘Vacation’ In Works At HBO Max

by Comicbookscalping

.

Various news outlets including The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline are reporting that the National Lampoon ‘Vacation’ movie series is being adapted into a television series for the HBO Max streaming platform. While this doesn’t immediately sound like comic or speculation related news – it very much is.

.

Vacation.jpg

.

It was only last year that we wrote a post about the National Lampoon Magazine and the key issues in our Magazine Speculation series. (What ever happened to those? ). After the success of Animal House the National Lampoon magazine developed strong relationships with various Hollywood studios and it was in 1979 that Warner Brothers and the National Lampoon decided to adapt the John Hughes short story “Vacation ’58” into a full length feature film. John Hughes who was a print writer for the National Lampoon magazine at the time went on to write the film’s screen play which was later titled National Lampoon’s Vacation. After his success with this film Hughes went on to write and direct classic films like Pretty in Pink and The Breakfast Club.

.

The short story that became the basis for this film franchise, “Vacation ’58”, was first published in the September 1970 issue of National Lampoon. This magazine features the first appearances of the entire Griswolds family and tells the entire Wally World storyline (Except its Disney Land in the original storyline). You can read the entire short story here.

.

national012

.

Another magazine within the Griswold storyline is the December 1980 issue of National Lampoon. This issue features the short story “Christmas ’59” by John Hughes which became the basis for the National Lampoon Christmas Vacation film.

.

National Lampoon 1980 December

.

One last Griswold related issue that you should be looking for is the National Lampoon July 1983 issue. Unlike the previous two issues mentioned this book sells very well on the secondary market. This is the National Lampoon Vacation issue and features a Chevy Chase photo cover.

.

National Lampoon July 1983

.
All three of these books are very undervalued at the moment – mainly because most people don’t realize their significance. These are both magazines you should be looking for. Check out our full National Lampoon Speculation list from last year here, and let me know in the comments or on social media what you think about this new HBO series!

I Really Want to Love His Dark Materials, But It's Getting Harder

by Beth Elderkin
Corey

Show stinks.

There are things His Dark Materials is doing right; the performances are great, the cinematography is top-notch, and Philip Pullman’s words are cleverly integrated into the script. But its inability to capture one of the franchise’s most-important tenets, the connection between humans and daemons, has become too big…
