A message from beyond the grave. [optipess]
In the latest Mega64 video, it seems Derrick has become a bit too enamored with the game Papers, Please. He's set up a border patrol booth at the entrance to the Mega64 offices, which has now been dubbed the country of Acosta (after his own last name). Rocco only wants to go inside to get his iPad that he left behind, but Derrick is getting a little too into the role. Hilarity naturally ensues.
If only bypassing the patrol in the game was as easy as it is to get past Derrick. But at what cost? WHAT COST?!

D3 Publisher is gearing up to release Earth Defense Force 2025 on February 18 in North America, and they've dropped more hype-inducing promotional material today. A new trailer, seen above, serves to remind once more that the bugs are coming back for one more attempt to take Earth, and only the EDF can stop them. In addition, new screenshots show off the four-player cooperative mode.
Oh, sweet cheese. I love these games so much that I'm salivating at all the new giant creatures glimpsed at in the footage. I am ready for February.

“You’ve watched other ‘Let’s Play’ videos about breeding Pokemon, but you’ve never seen one like this. Learn how to get a Munchlax egg, how to boost your stats, and how to watch your Pokemon do it doggy style.” — CH

When you get swallowed by the waves of the biggest sea monster in the world (also known as the wonderful ocean), there's not much you can do but protect your head and hope you know which way is up. It's like being trapped inside a water tornado. This footage, captured by pro surfer Mark Healey, shows the exact feeling of getting hit by a gigantic wave. It's a brutal spin.

SodaStream's new commercial featuring Scarlett Johansson has been pulled from the Super Bowl by Fox. The reason behind the banning is not that the video is too steamy or risque. It's because the video takes a shot at Coke and Pepsi, two of Fox's and the Super Bowl's biggest advertisers.

EA Sports' annual simulation of the Super Bowl on Madden produced a thrilling 31-28 Denver overtime victory in a snowy MetLife stadium.
This would be the first ever overtime in Super Bowl history.
Peyton Manning earned Super Bowl MVP in the simulation, throwing for 322 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.
In the 10 years EA Sports has simulated the Super Bowl, Madden has predicted the winner correctly eight times.
The New York Giants' historic upset of the New England Patriots in 2008 and the Green Bay Packers' win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2011 were the only two Super Bowls Madden predicted incorrectly.
Here's the recap of the simulation:

In the wrong hands, The Lego Movie could’ve been a lazy, forgettable kids’ film with no obvious purpose other than pushing more plastic bricks. But as directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, it’s looking like a very early contender for the year’s best animated film — funny, smart, energetic, and far more original than we have any reason to expect a film based on a toy would be.
With every new bit of marketing that rolls out, it’s looking more and more promising. Today, we have nine new clips from the film totaling about eight minutes of footage. Chris Pratt leads the voice cast as Emmet, an extraordinarily ordinary minifig who is accidentally drafted to lead a revolution against the evil President Business (Will Ferrell). Watch all the videos after the jump.
While there don’t seem to be any major spoilers up ahead, we’ll warn you that the scenes do give away some minor gags and plot points not previously shown in the trailers.
At this point, Lord and Miller practically specialize in things that sound groanworthy on paper, but look magical onscreen. Before I actually sat down and watched them, I wouldn’t have thought there was much promise in a Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs adaptation or a 21 Jump Street reboot, either. But not only were they pretty great, Lord and Miller liked working on the latter so much that they’ve returned for the sequel, due out this summer.
2014 is also shaping up to be a pretty great year for Pratt, between The Lego Movie and this summer’s Guardians of the Galaxy. There aren’t many actors who can boast that they became part of the Marvel family and hung out with the Justice League in the space of twelve months — even if, okay, the Justice League we’re talking about here is a tiny, plastic version.
The Lego Movie opens in 3D on February 7. Elizabeth Banks, Alison Brie, Will Arnett, and Liam Neeson are also among the voice cast.
The original 3D computer animated story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.
