And that global warming has passed the tipping point where we can stop it? Kinda makes a person want to move into an underground bunker and not come out again until the human population has decimated itself down to pre-modern levels. But you want a nice bunker, though. It all sits on two and a half acres north of Barstow "with direct access to an on-off ramp" for the I-15. Asking price is $750k and there's an adjacent site also available that would be "ideal … for a gas station or truck stop."

It exploded over the entire cast of his former show who all dislike him immensely and are enjoying watching him fail to get his movie star career launched and one actress from the show especially dislikes him because of an incident where she thinks he took advantage of her.

The dress is the second in a series of projects called Urban Armor, which aim to help women own their space in public arenas that often attempt to deny this right. As McDermott explains in the project statement: “The series arose partly out of my concern over the persistence of ideologies asserted at women in public space through advertising, architecture and socially normative behavior. I began to look for ways women could take more ownership over their personal space in public.”

This B list mostly movie actor who has had success on television too is a good looking guy. Ladies love him. His most recent tv gig was in a recurring role on a very hit network show. Our actor was wasted out of his mind at a club in NYC this weekend and kept throwing hundred dollar bills at waitresses asking them how much it would take to get one to go home with him. Even though he could barely stand or function, one waitress did go home with him at the end of the night.

The weather was lovely, sunny and warm.
Still good travelling along the Hume
Not much traffic
not shaping up too good here this was building up fast
Nothing happened for a while but we did strike rain lots of thunder and lighting and bits of trees all over the road and cold, cold winds.
This was my bed companion, she sits in the corner and watches over you, the beer fairy was smart he took his sleeping pillows and a sleeping bag and slept in the loungeroom in front of the wood fire, lovely and warm but it can get a bit too warm.

Me and my brother in law, he had a stroke 4 months back but is coming along nicely he is still easily tired and has no use in his left arm but will get there with effort he is a fighter and his wife is very encouraging so progress is pretty good.
This is a tiny shed or a playhouse for the grand daughter

The house next door, I rather like it and it's for sale but they are rather more than I thought in such a small town maybe because they are close to the snowfields.

It is still misty and rainy.

My sister in law,  she is very busy and won't let me help not that I'm complaining I don't mind sitting around.

The PUB, always important in a country town.
I was amazed at the amount of traffic this is a small country town at the foothills of the Snowy mountains away from the snowfields and no real tourist attractions but it always has lots of people around.

We went for a walk in the local park
It has a very fast little creek but I think this little bridge is cute.
This creek moves along very fast and there was a no fishing sign but I forgot to take a picture of it.

and a flooded skate park

The rain was moving in again so we went off for a coffee to warm up.

Dior’s Secret Garden–Marking the third campaign in its “Secret Garden” series, Dior enlists Daria Strokous yet again for the advertisements captured on location at Versailles. According to WWD, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin photographed and filmed the campaign which is set to go live on the Dior website this Friday. Daria Strokous also leads the video campaign with Fei Fei Sun and Katlin Aas set to the tunes of “Strange Love” by Depeche Mode.

This Mad Men actress was at Starbucks this past weekend and spent 10 minutes ordering one item. She literally asked about every drink and food item and said she couldn't decide and took out her phone and called someone and asked what she should get. Apparently she was drunk and looked like a mess.

She was with a B-/C+ list mostly television actor but went back to the movie actor because as she put it, "He has a d**k that goes on for miles."

This A++ list diva and A+ list singer/celebrity was at dinner this week. She ordered dessert. She was informed though that another woman had ordered the last of the desserts right before our diva and sorry, but would our diva like anything else. The diva called over the manager and told him that if he ever wanted the business of our diva again that he would tell the first woman who ordered that she was out of luck. The manager refused. Our diva got up and walked out and said that no one from her family would ever patronize the place again. Two days later her A+ list celebrity husband showed up and dropped $50K at the place while snuggling with someone, most definitely not his wife.

Hello equine enthusiasts! Time again for more backstage tidbits on two of our residents at Circle D Ranch here at Disneyland Resort.

This is Holly.

Holly is a Belgian draft horse. She is 13 years old, weighs 1,695 lbs and stands 17.3 hands. (Pop Quiz: How tall is that in inches?) Holly came to Disneyland Resort from an Amish farm in Shipshewana, Ind.

Fun fact: Holly is a creature of habit, and unlike most of the other horses at Circle D, prefers to do the same thing every day. Holly is also a successful show horse, competing at the L.A. County Fair and winning multiple ribbons for the Disneyland Resort.

This is Lee.

Lee is also a Belgian draft horse. He is 9 years old, weighs 2,020 lbs and stands 19.0 hands. Like Holly, Lee came to the Disneyland Resort from an Amish farm in Shipshewana, Ind. Lee is definitely one of the clowns at Circle D. He enjoys any and all attention and uses his lips like an elephant would use his trunk, picking up objects and playing with them for hours on end.

At first glance, Holly and Lee look very similar, but a second look reveals Holly’s coat is a deeper dappled copper than Lee’s, and she is much smaller than Lee. Holly has a bold white blaze down the center of her face and a very thin mane and tail. Lee’s coat is more the color of a new copper penny and he has a skinny white blaze on his face. Lee’s face is long and slender with a crook in his nose.

New restaurants and bars along Eagle Rock's main drag, Colorado Boulevard, have been skirting a lame rule requiring businesses to get special permission from the city if they want to stay open after 9 pm, but that loophole might be closing up. The curfew is part of the Colorado Boulevard Specific Plan, "[t]he same city ordinance that has been credited for creating a more lively Colorado Boulevard," says Eastsider LA. The ordinance, which requires businesses get permission from the Planning Department if they want to stay open "late," only applies to businesses that opened after it went into effect in 1992, but many newer businesses "have never bothered to get that permission or are simply ignoring the curfew." That was fine until recently, when someone complained about the hours at the Line 5 sports bar and city inspectors started looking into the issue.

"Things are kind of a mess.There is a patchwork of new and old businesses along Colorado. Some are violators of the municipal code who are right next door to other places who can stay open past 9 p.m. This is an unpopular code," a rep for the Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council says. (Many of the most popular restaurants in Eagle Rock—like the Oinkster, which opened in 2006including the Oinkster, which opened in 2006are young enough to need this special exemption.)

City officials are now trying to figure out the best way to solve the problem, but "there needs to be a thorough public discussion first," a rep for Councilmember Huizar says.

Social experiments where wealthy people say they’re going to live on a budget below the poverty line for a month don’t accomplish much more than partonize people actually living in low income situations with no end in sight. It was the exact problem I had with Morgan Spurlock’s “30 Days” thing where he and his wife lived on minimum wage for a month, they didn’t behave like people living with the reality of poverty, they lived like two useless rich people who had their credit cards taken away for a couple weeks. It’s super easy to run up a lot of debt and make dumb decisions in money management if you know you’re going to be rich again in a couple weeks just like it’s super easy to stick to an extreme diet for a month. When people watch someone live on foodstamps for a month to prove a point and say “ha ha you’re gonna lose ten pounds and look great!” they’re showing a complete inability to extrapolate that situation to a long-term scenario. “Oh wow, you’re gonna lose weight because you’ll be undernourished!” And that’s good? They’re supposed to just enjoy being malnourished and losing weight until when? They get sick and die?

And I mean, sure, it’s totally doable to live on $133 a month for food, but wow does a super restrictive food budget ever suck when there’s no end in sight. The world is just a grey and shitty place when you’re malnourished and eating the same meal of watered down soup and rice every day for the indefinite future. When I was at my worst my hair was falling out, I was dizzy and passing out all the time. Like in public, standing at the mall, suddenly on the ground. Talking to a kid on the lawn, on the ground. I cracked my head open on a tile floor and knew a trip to the hospital wasn’t in the budget so I ended up just hoping for the best that I didn’t have a brain hemorrhage. There’s a dull ache in that part of my skull to this day. That’s not the kind of life experience you get from one month of living on rice and beans when you know there’s a sweet steak dinner with your name on it in four weeks.

When I was homeless for 8 months and foodstamps were literally my only source of income, I lost about 40 pounds. Everyone I ran into who knew me before said how great I looked and I wanted to spit on them.
