Im Zuge des heutigen Oktober-Events hat Microsoft das Surface Studio präsentiert. Hierbei handelt es sich um einen All-in-One Desktop PC, der vor allem für Profis gedacht ist. Damit will Microsoft in diesem Bereich mit Apple konkurrieren.
Aus diesem Grund hat man sich um eine gute Performance, ein hervorragendes Display und vor allem einen unauffälligen Formfaktor konzentriert. Microsoft Surface Studio besitzt das dünnste Touch-Display, das je gebaut wurde und auch von der Qualität soll es sämtliche bisherige Panels ausstechen. Das 28-Zoll Panel stellt 13,5 Millionen Pixel dar, löst also etwas höher als 4K auf und besitzt ein 3:2 Seitenverhältnis, wie auch bisherige Surface-Geräte.
Microsoft Surface Studio soll Designern ermöglichen, sämtliche Arbeiten auf diesem Gerät zu erledigen und sich dadurch vollständig auf diese konzentrieren zu können. Alles, was rund um das Gerät passiert, soll in den Hintergrund geraten. Aus diesem Grund hat Microsoft auch ein Scharnier verbaut, welches das Display beinahe ohne Aufwand beweglich macht. Es soll einfach bewegt werden und auch in einen Modus versetzt werden können, bei dem der Nutzer darauf schreiben kann. Das Display schwebt dann mit einer Neigung von 20 Grad über dem Tisch und der Nutzer kann auch den zweiten Arm auf das Scharnier lehnen.

Surface Dial
Mitgeliefert zum Surface Book wird ein Gerät namens Surface Dial, welches auch mit Surface Pro 4 und Surface Book funktioniert. Hierbei handelt es sich um ein zylinderförmiges Eingabegerät, welches am Display oder am Tisch genutzt werden kann. Wenn ihr das Gerät drückt, wird ein Menü angezeigt und könnt daraufhin beispielsweise Aktionen rückgängig machen indem ihr mit dem Finger gegen den Uhrzeigersinn über die Oberfläche fahrt.
Das Surface Studio ist ab heute vorbestellbar und zwar für 2999 US-Dollar. Hergestellt wird es laut Microsoft nur in begrenzter Stückzahl und es ist nicht bekannt, ob es auch in Europa erhältlich sein wird.
Microsoft has today announced the next major update to Windows 10 at its hardware event in New York City. Originally codenamed Redstone 2, the update will be called "Creators Update" when it launches to the public early next year. The update will feature a number of features and improvements over the Anniversary Update, with a big focus being on creating content as the name suggests.
The update will be rolling out to all Windows 10 users for free in the early part of next year. Much like the Anniversary Update, we expect this update to rollout in waves, being that it is one of the few "major" updates scheduled for 2017. The update will be available for Windows 10 PC's, tablets, HoloLens and more.
With the Creators Update, Microsoft has rebuilt the Paint app, bringing it to the Universal Windows Platform with pen support, and new features such as 3D support for devices like HoloLens. There's a lot going on for Windows 10 in the coming months, and Insiders will get first dibs trying out new features over the next few weeks.
The Creators Update will also feature other improvements, not all related to creators, that will be a natural evolution and improvement over the previous versions of Windows. Many have asked for Microsoft to build a Windows PC ever since Microsoft unveiled the original Surface back in 2012, and today it seems they finally have listened to our requests. Microsoft has just unveiled the "Surface Studio", a new all-in-one PC from Microsoft.
The Surface Studio is built for creatives, packing some impressive specs in an interesting form factor. Featuring a 28" PixelSense display with an aspect ratio of 3:2, built into the thinnest LCD ever on an all-in-one. The Surface Studio is also rocking 32GB of DDR4 RAM, an Intel i7 CPU and a 2TB hybrid storage drive.
The Surface Studio starts at $2999, with the high-end model being priced at $4199 and is aimed at creatives and professionals. Surface Studio will arrive on December 15th, with pre-orders live now.
Microsoft debuted the rumored Surface Dial at their New York Event, giving creators greater control.
Debuted alongside the Surface Studio desktop PC, the Surface Dial is a hockey puck-like device that allows users to access a new radial menu using haptic touch inputs. Additionally, the Surface Dial can be placed directly onto the screen, producing additional screen controls directly on the display.

Panos Panay, Microsofts Chef der Surface-Sparte, hat ein Jahr nach Enthüllung des Surface Book ein neues Familienmitglied der Surface-Reihe vorgestellt. Das neue Surface Studio richtet sich an Profis und will damit in direkte Konkurrenz zu Apples iMac gehen. Design und Ausstattung dürften den einen oder anderen ansprechen: das Gehäuse des iMac-Konkurrenten besteht aus Aluminium, der Displayrahmen misst durchgehend 12,5 Millimeter.

Das 4,5K-PixelSense-Display des Surface stand bei der Vorstellung des Surface Studio im Fokus. Der Touch-Screen misst 28 Zoll, hat eine Ratio von 3:2 und eine Pixeldichte von 192 Pixel pro Inch und 4.500 x 3.000 Pixel – es soll 63 Prozent mehr Pixel als ein 4K-TV besitzen. Profis, bei denen die korrekte Farbwiedergabe essentiell ist, können zwischen den Formaten DCI-P3 und sRGB on-the-fly wechseln.

Durch die Chromarme, an denen das Display aufgehängt ist, kann der Screen beliebig positioniert werden. Durch die Positionierung der Arme gerät die Hardware weitgehend in den Hintergrund, sodass der Nutzer sich auf den Inhalt konzentrieren könne, so Panay. Nicht nur in Sachen Design will Microsoft überzeugen, sondern auch bei der Ausstattung. So stecken im Surface Studio bis zu 32 Gigabyte Arbeitsspeicher und eine bis zu zwei Terabyte große Hybrid-Festplatte. Als Prozessor kommen je nach Modell ein Intel Core i5-, der i7-Chip der sechsten Generation (Skylake) zum Einsatz. Bei der Grafikeinheit kann zwischen der NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M mit zwei Gigabyte GDDR5 Speicher oder NVIDIAs GeForce GTX 980M mit vier Gigabyte GDDR5-Speicher gewählt werden.

Das Surface Studio besitzt selbstredend eine fünf Megapixel Webcam für Videochats, eine Audiobuchse, einen SD-Karten-Einschub sowie einen Mini-DisplayPort, Ethernet und vier USB-3.0-Ports. Das WLAN-Modul unterstützt WLAN nach 802.11 ac, ferner sind Bluetooth 4.0 und Xbox Wireless an Bord.

Im Zuge der Vorstellung des Surface Studio ist auch der Surface Dial angekündigt worden. Das Puck-große Drehrad fungiert als erweitertes Eingabegerät für Windows 10 – nicht nur für das Surface Studio, sondern auch für andere Modelle der Surface-Reihe wie Surface Pro 3 und Surface Pro 4.
Mit dem Surface Dial kann man beispielsweise den Arbeitsverlauf per Dreh nachverfolgen, ein Dokument durchblättern, hineinzoomen oder in einer Bildbearbeitungs-Anwendung eine Farbpalette anzeigen lassen und die Farbe, mit der man arbeitet, im Fluge ändern. Laut Microsoft bietet der Dial aber noch eine Menge Funktionen mehr.

Surface Studio: All-in-On für Kreative, ideal für die Windows 10 Creators Edition
Mit dem Surface-All-in-One-PC will Microsoft in den kreativen Bereich eindringen, der zum Großteil von Apple und seinen Macbooks und iMacs eingenommen wird. Durch das Surface Book und die neuen Eingabemethoden will Microsoft versuchen, Apple das Wasser abzugraben. Dieser Push in die kreative Welt wird unterstützt durch die Integration von 3D-Inhalten in Windows 10.
Der Surface-Studio-Rechner ist ab dem 26. Oktober vorbestellbar und kostet ab 2.999 US-Dollar. Für den Preis bekommt man das Core-i5-Modell mit einer ein Terabyte-Hybrid-Festplatte, acht Gigabyte RAM und einer GPU mit zwei Gigabyte. Das Topmodell mit 32 Gigabyte RAM, Core i7-Chip und der vier Gigabyte GPU schlägt mit 4.199 US-Dollar zu Buche. Wann oder ob der Rechner nach Deutschland kommt, ist noch ungewiss. Wir tippen aber auf einen Marktstart im nächsten Jahr. Ähnlich verhielt es sich beim Surface Book.

3D is for everybody, proclaims Microsoft. So much so, Microsoft has built a brand new Paint app for the upcoming Windows 10 Creators Update that modernizes the 30 years old painting suite. New features include pen support, 3d models and a whole lot more.
The new Paint app also features a huge new community sharing service, that allows users to upload and download creations made by other people. Whether it be 3D models, a simple 2d painting, or something else entirely, you can share it with a whole community of people.
Paint has also gained some new features such as being able to crop images more precisely, remove backgrounds from images, save images with transparency, and more.
On stage at its Windows 10 event today, Microsoft announced Windows Capture 3D: a way to easuily bring objects around you into your digital workspace with nothing more than a Windows Phone.
Microsoft announced Paint 3D during the company's Creators Update event. The new release of the much-loved software suite offers an array of new features and functionality. It's now possible to take photos on the phone, import into Paint and transform items into fully rendered 3D objects. The company demonstrated this ability by taking photos of a sandcastle, which was then edited in 3D using Paint.
Microsoft has released a trailer for its upcoming extension to Windows 10's creative tools, Paint 3D.
Included as a part of the Windows 10 Creators Update, the trailer shows how the updated program can be used to produce seamless 3D creations. With an emphasis on its intuitive interface and accessibility, the video shows a range of people of differing skills sets using Paint 3D.

To catalog these creations, Microsoft has put together a website called Remix3D.com, that not only allows you to show off your 3D models, but also export them to a 3D printer to bring them into the physical world.
Microsoft isn't just putting 3D fun into its all new Paint app coming in the Creators Update, your work presentations are about to get a lot less dull with the feature supported in Microsoft Office.
Microsoft has unveiled a new feature called "MyPeople", a quick-access area on the taskbar that showcases your favourite people directly on the taskbar, and allows you to communicate and share directly with them. You can send 3d objects, emoji's and more straight from your desktop.
The feature works with SMS relay through Skype, as well. The feature will also be able to hook into other social services, like GroupMe and more. Microsoft is making it easy to collaborate and share work and messages with your friends, all directly via the taskbar.
MyPeople will be one of many new features showing up in the Windows 10 Creators Update, which is scheduled for launch early next year. Smartphones have been exalted to a position in our lives as more than things that we carry to extensions of who we are. They are our portal to connecting with friends and loved ones, our address books, banking tools and the gateway to our personal photo albums.
Our phones meticulously chronicle all of our interactions in text and photos and videos. They track our locations and ease our anxiety by helping us find our way in the most unfamiliar of environments.
Smartphones are our go-to distraction in uncomfortable situations when we prefer not to interact with others or when we don't know what else do. They are our gaming system, our portal to the internet and every now and then, they are our phone.

Laut Microsoft hat man außerdem mehr Akkus in das Gerät verbaut, sodass nun eine Laufzeit von bis zu 16 Stunden möglich ist.

Das Surface Book i7 wird im Windows Store als Surface Book mit Performance Base bezeichnet und wird in den USA ab einem Preis von 2399 US-Dollar erhältlich sein und kann ab sofort vorbestellt werden. Wann es in Europa auftreffen wird, ist noch nicht bekannt. Dafür werden wir wohl die offiziellen Pressemeldungen des Unternehmens abwarten müssen, welche in den kommenden Tagen in unseren Mail-Postfächern eintrudeln sollten.
