Shanquella Robinson’s Father Believes Friends On Cabo Trip Plotted Her Murder Out Of Envy & Jealousy: For Them To Take Her Away From Me Like That, You Know, It’s Sad

Shanquella Robinson’s father, Bernard Robinson, could sense that there was more to the death of his daughter than what was initially being told.

In his latest interview, Bernard Robinson spoke about the heartbreaking demise of Shanquella Robinson and the six individuals who are suspected to have been behind it.

On Oct. 28, 25-year-old Shanquella Robinson left her home in Charlotte, North Carolina to embark on a trip with friends to Cabo, Mexico. The next day, she was pronounced dead inside the villa where she and her crew had booked their stay.

The victim’s mother, Salamondra Robinson, first received a notification that Robinson passed from alcohol poisoning. However, a video then surfaced throughout social media of the young woman seemingly being brutally beaten by one of her fellow vacation attendees. Robinson’s death was later determined to be a result of a broken neck and severe shattering of the spinal cord.

When speaking of the tragic loss of the thriving business owner, Bernard Robinson said:

“My life done changed behind all this. I didn’t know the friends; I just know they went to college with her. That’s about it. They supposed to been going over there to celebrate one of their birthdays. But, evidently, I guess they plotted–jealous and envious of her–and did what they did to her for no such reason. I mean, you know, she didn’t see it coming.”

He then elaborated on what followed the moments after being informed of his daughter’s death.

“The friends ain’t tell me nothing. [The] friends just told her mom, you know, that they came back with the luggage and her phone. [They] just came back and sat down at her sister’s house, and ate food, and sat there and just told them that big lie that it was alcohol poisoning, which I knew it wasn’t. Deep down in my heart. Because I knew how I raised her.”

According to Mr. Robinson, his baby girl would never drink to the point of putting herself in harm’s way.

“She drunk a little, but alcohol poisoning? Nah. We all did that when we was coming up a little bit–just experiencing things. But, still, at the same time, she knew herself, and I knew her. I know that [was] my daughter by just how I raised her, and I know, for a fact, she [was] too smart and too intelligent to put herself in that kind of situation like that.”

The grieving dad added to that by revealing that, since Robinson’s murder, he hadn’t heard any type of condolences from the friends or the parents of the friends.

“They didn’t even reach out to me. They ain’t called and said, ‘Mr. Robinson, we’re sorry about Shanquella.’ Their parents ain’t called; they ain’t gave no kind of condolences, whatsoever, ma’am. So, I’m not even gon’ say they’re friends, ma’am. They’re not friends.”

Nearly two months later, the Robinson family is still searching for solid answers.

Last week, Mexican prosecutors issued an arrest warrant for an alleged suspect in the case after authorities believed that Robinson’s killing was prompted by “injuries inflicted by one of the travel companions.” Marked as a femicide, the person of criminal interest has yet to be identified. Conflicting reports claim that someone was taken into custody. However, Salamondra Robinson just recently complained about the FBI’s failure to offer her details on the status of her daughter’s ongoing investigation.

She anxiously expressed,

“I’m just trying to wait for somebody to be arrested. The FBI is not telling anything.” 

Robinson’s father remembered her as a genuine human being who only had great intentions with people.

“She was real. She was a people person. Loving and caring. You know, [she] cared about folks, [and she] never did look down on nobody. You know, [the] only thing she wanted to do was just enjoy life. She was a very smart and intelligent young lady.”

Will Smith unexpectedly slapped Chris Rock at the 94th annual Academy Awards after the comedian made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

In what was the most-talked-about moment at Sunday’s Oscars, the King Richard star rushed the stage after Rock joked about Smith’s wife and a sequel to the 1997 film G.I. Jane.

Jada, who has been open about her struggle with hair loss caused by alopecia, did not appear amused.

“Will Smith just smacked the shit out of me,” said a stunned Rock after Smith got out of his seat and ran on stage.

“Keep my wife’s name out your fu**in’ mouth!” Smith told Rock during the live broadcast, which was censored in most countries.

“Wow, dude,” Rock said. “It was a G.I. Jane joke.”

“Keep my wife’s name out your fu**in’ mouth,” Smith repeated.

“I’m going to, OK?” Rock said.

Moments later, Smith went on to win his first Oscar for Best Actor for his role as Richard Williams in King Richard. During his emotional speech, he offered an apology.

“I want to apologize to all my fellow nominees,” he said. “Art imitates life. I look like the crazy father, just like they said about Richard Williams. But love will make you do crazy things.”

Added Smith, “Thank you. I hope the Academy invites me back.”

After the wild moment, which Rock called the “greatest night in the history of television,” Smith’s son Jaden shared a message of support for his dad. “And That’s How We Do It,” he tweeted.

Others including 50 Cent, Drake, and Boosie Badazz also weighed in.

‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’s’ Martell Holt’s Alleged Mistress, Arionne Curry, Accuses His Co-Stars Maurice & Marsau Scott Of Cheating On Their Wives As Well

It seems like there’s some drama brewing for the ‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’ cast.

As previously reported, ‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’ Star Melody Holt made headlines last year after news broke that she quietly filed for divorce from her husband, Martell Holt. The Holts tied the knot in 2008 and share four children. Reportedly, Martell Holt’s infidelity was a huge factor in the former love birds’ marriage coming to an end. The businessman made headlines of his own earlier this year following reports that his alleged mistress, Arionne Curry, gave birth to his 5th child.

It now seems that Arionne Curry wants to share a little of her side of the story and expose the other men from ‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’ for being cheaters as well. The boutique owner recently uploaded a few cryptic posts to her Instagram stories making some serious allegations. In one post she shared a throwback image of the men from the OWN series and accused Maurice Scott of cheating on his wife Kimmi Grant Scott.

She wrote,

“I WAS HERE I BOUT TOOK THE PICTURE I DIDN’T JUST SHOW UP I WAS INVITED AND COULDN’T, BELIEVE THE LINEBACKER, MAURICE WAS SEXING. I IMMEDIATELY WENT UPSTAIRS AND ASKED MARTELL WHAT’S KIMMI LOOK LIKE BECAUSE I COULDN’T BELIEVE MY EYES.”

Arionne Curry then shared a few reactions she received about her alarming post from her followers.

 

Curry also added proof to her claim that she was there that night the alleged cheating took place. She shared a screenshot of a comment left by Martell Holt seemingly pointing to the fact she was the one who took the picture of the ‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’ men that night.

It’s unclear what sparked Curry’s recent outburst but her posts appear to be a response to something that was said during part-2 of the ‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’ reunion special that aired over the weekend.

Curry also alluded to having knowledge and proof that Marsau Scott cheated on his wife, LaTisha Scott, as well.

She posted,

Maurice Scott doesn’t seem to be scared of Arionne Curry’s allegations. The reality star/businessman took to his own IG stories and dared Curry to name the person he allegedly cheated on his wife with.

Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty is finally speaking out regarding his checkered past.

Since news of his relationship with Minaj hit the net folks have been digging deep into his time in prison and sexual assault allegations. As previously reported in 1995, Petty was convicted of first-degree attempted rape after being accused of rape by Jennifer Hough. Petty served 4 years in prison but is now speaking out about what really occurred.

In new legal documents Petty adamantly denies raping Hough.

“The sexual encounter between Plaintiff and I, which occurred 27 years ago, was consensual and Plaintiff was a willing participant,” he said. “I pled guilty to attempted rape, despite my innocence, because I was a scared 16-year-old kid and was told that my sentence would be 20 years to life if I did not plead guilty to attempted rape.”

Petty and Minaj are currently embroiled in a legal battle with Hough who claims the couple tried to coerce her to recant her story. She shared her story on “The Real” in an interview alongside her attorney Tyrone Blackburn.

Petty just recently obtained a lawyer to represent him in the harassment case. Meanwhile Minaj’s lawyer is threatening Hough and Blackburn with court sanctions claiming that the pair filed a “disgraceful” lawsuit in an attempt to get rich and famous.

A court sanction is defined as “a financial penalty imposed by a judge on a party or attorney for violation of a court rule, for receiving a special waiver of a rule, or as a fine for contempt of court.”

The idea of Kanye West and Drake facing off in a Verzuz is a conversation that has been had since the platform's inception during quarantine. Hip Hop and Rap fans have been debating a Ye versus Drizzy concept for some time as memes of what 20 tracks each artist would play circulate every few months. However, after Kanye visited Drinks Champs, it seems we may be edging closer to this actually happening, albeit with Drake's approval. If you ask Kanye, it would be an easy win.

Drink Champs host Noreaga caught up with Fat Joe for a post-interview chat about Ye's appearance on the series. Fat Joe suggested that a Kanye and Drake Verzuz would "break the internet." Nore seemed to agree.

"You know why I like that a lot? It' like when Jay and Nas had they thing, there was no platform for them to actually—we had Battle of the Beats, big ups to Angie Martinez, we had Battle of the Beats, but Verzuz just seems like a global platform right now," said Noreaga. "So, for them to—where would they take it at?... I believe that Drake believes that he'll win, too."

"I asked him if he would battle Busta and he said he would battle Busta, too," added Nore. There has been much conversation about Busta Rhyme's impending appearance on the series, as the Rap legend wants to appear but Verzuz is having trouble finding an opponent. "I asked him off-camera, 'Would you really do the Veruz with Drake?' And he's like, 'Of course!' So, I think that's the battle everyone wants to see. I think it's the biggest bag ever."

A male and female suspect were arrested earlier this month in a drug bust that possibly saved 50 million people in southern California, according to law enforcement.

NEW YORK (AP) — R. Kelly's lawyers said Monday they would fight prosecutors' bid to tell jurors about allegations beyond the actual charges at his upcoming federal sex trafficking trial.

“This is nothing more than a veiled effort to pile on to further shape the public’s perception in this case, ignoring that Mr. Kelly is presumed innocent until proven otherwise,” Kelly lawyer Nicole Blank Becker said by email, adding that his attorneys would “vigorously oppose” the government's request.

“As the trial nears we are looking forward to the truth prevailing,” she wrote.

Jury selection is due to start Aug. 9 in a New York federal court for the Grammy Award-winning R&B star.

He's charged with leading what prosecutors call a criminal enterprise of managers, bodyguards and other employees. Prosecutors say the staffers helped Kelly to recruit women and girls for sex and pornography and to exercise a lot of control over them.

The charges involve six different women and girls.

Prosecutors now also want jurors to hear about more than a dozen other people who allege Kelly sexually or physically abused, threatened or otherwise mistreated them. The claims include an allegation that he had sexual contact with an underage boy.

Kelly denies ever abusing anyone.

The multiplatinum-selling singer, born Robert Sylvester Kelly, is known for work including the 1996 hit “I Believe I Can Fly” and the cult classic “Trapped in the Closet,” a multi-part tale of sexual betrayal and intrigue.

He also faces sex-related charges in Illinois and Minnesota and has pleaded not guilty.

Kanye West Reportedly Lashed Out During Court-Ordered Deposition, Put On A Jesus Head Covering & Called Himself ‘The Richest Black Man In America’

Kanye West reportedly wasn’t on his best behavior during a recent deposition for a lawsuit he’s facing. According to reports, Kanye West, 44, is in an ongoing $20 million legal battle with a black-owned company called MyChannel.The company is accusing Kanye West of stealing its technology to sell his Sunday Service merchandise. During his virtual court-ordered deposition earlier this week Kanye West seemingly threw a tantrum and because of his actions, MyChannel’s lawyers have filed an emergency motion to have the ‘Bound 2’ rapper appear in court in person.

According to court filings obtained by AllHipHop, Kanye called one of MyChannel’s lawyers (who is a white man) “boy” at least 12 times during the heated 10-minute deposition. In addition to that, Kanye reportedly wouldn’t look at MyChannel’s legal team or put his phone down. Kanye went on to refer to his own “mental genius-ness”, refused to answer any questions, and asked one of the company’s attorneys  if he was

“f***ing stupid?”

The Yeezy brand owner didn’t stop his alleged antics there and reportedly informed MyChannel’s lawyer that he was lucky to be deposing the

“richest Black man in America and a Black Trump supporter and that he couldn’t be bothered with the deposition because he had lives (and diets) to change.”

Before a frustrated Kanye terminated the meeting and walked off, court documents claim he put on a

“full-face hood and head covering adorned with Jesus Christ’s image which obscured his face and muffled his voice.”

He then refused to remove the facial covering when asked by MyChannel’s legal team. Kanye also allegedly bragged about how good he was doing interrupting the deposition. His lawyers refused to do anything about his alleged behavior.

One of MyChannel’s lawyers stated,

“West’s bad faith efforts to sabotage the deposition will be viewed by the Court as one of the most outrageous and inappropriate deposition performances it has observed as well”

MyChannel is reportedly now also seeking to sanction Kanye West for $63,000 because of his court behavior.

On June 11, Migos hope to put the rap game on notice again with Culture III.

The rap trio’s first two installments of the Culture series, 2016’s Culture and 2018’s Culture II, not only spawned multiple Hot 100 top 10 singles, most notably “Motorsport” and “Walk It, Talk It,” but also their crown jewel and sole No. 1 hit, 2017’s “Bad and Boujee.” Despite their impressive stat line and impact in music, Offset still believes the Atlanta group has yet to receive their just due. 

“We made this trap [style] go pop,” says Offset in a new interview with Billboard. “They don’t talk about that. We made trap go pop talking about selling pounds and bricks, and we hit Billboard No. 1. Hip-hop artists weren’t going No. 1 like that, but now it just be ‘bang, bang, bang.'” 

After a three-year hiatus which included solo albums from each member, Migos finally returns to quash any doubts with surefire hits and steely flows. Their newest single, the trunk-rattling “Straightenin,” finds the trio test-driving new deliveries in hopes of reinventing the wheel once again. Recently debuting at No. 38 on the Hot 100, their latest single is a strong indicator of how surgical and polished they have become in the eight years since their breakthrough, “Versace.”

“We not just doing one verse and one verse — we’re switching it up,” explains Offset. “We doing things other people can’t do because we the only group. We got creative with our flows, so we could stamp another [movement]. We feel like we gonna lead the pack with this album.”

Billboard spoke to Offset about Culture III, how going solo made him a better group member, his personal growth during the pandemic and more.

Whose idea was it to come with the  “We back” press release for the Culture III announcement?

We just been doing everything as one. It’s been a brotherhood, and we came up with the idea ourselves because it’s a big comeback. We want to show ‘em that we back. It’s been three years and we ain’t drop no music. We want to come with it and let the music talk. We didn’t want to do no gimmicks. I feel like I’m a respected artist. I don’t make the bubblegum [music].

What did you take from your solo journey, working on your 2019 album Father of 4, that you ended up bringing to Culture III?

Just content with records and just coming from my heart and saying not so much about the glitz and glam. Once you get to a certain level, you talk about what you see so much because you made it out of a situation. I just wanted to be more personal with my fans so they really know who Offset is and not think they know. I want it to come from me and let them know what’s important to me like my family and kids. I just want to give them an open Offset, for real.

Can you talk about your quarantine experience, and how voting for the first time reshaped your mindset as a man and an artist?

It was time to sit down. With me being who I am, I’m so busy and running around so much that I ain’t had that time in seven or eight years. It really opened up my eyes to see what’s going on in the world, and not just my world. I’m so focused on being creative in my headspace and I’m jumping around traveling everywhere, you don’t really see what’s going on. 

With quarantine, I seen everybody struggle. Even if you made money, as an artist, it was still a setback because you couldn’t spread a project to the fans by doing shows. People don’t understand how important doing shows is to an artist, no matter how big or how small a stage is. Giving fans that experience for the first time, they’d never get that.

When I was on tour, I’d do a show in Minneapolis, then I’d check my Twitter and have thousands of new fans who weren’t really worried about Offset before, but now they got to see a show. Also, I’m seeing a lot of our Black people struggling with this quarantine. I had to help friends and family members with people losing their jobs back-and-forth. My mom got sick with COVID and I wasn’t able to leave. I was just able to sit back and see a lot of real s–t going on. 

With voting, I just never felt like I was a part of that. I was young, too. I’m just a grown man now, and I understand the importance and we can only change things by voting. Me being able to vote, I know a lot of kids that were in my situation that never voted before. When I went to Gwinnett [County], I know I helped Biden win on that. I don’t want to name him in the thing, but it’s the facts. Gwinnett County was in the red at first, and then when I did that, it went to blue. It’s the first time Georgia did that in like 10 or 20 years. Contributing to that, I felt the power, and it was just the right thing to do.

You love trying to help people win. Even with [HBO Max streetwear competition show] The Hype,  you gave opportunities to young entrepreneurs trying to breakthrough in the streetwear game. What did you gain from that from a creative standpoint, watching these young kids trying to chase their dreams?

For me, it was just being able to give these kids a chance. In the streetwear world, these kids be underground. You’ll see these brands come out with things these kids wore two years ago and charging thousands of dollars for the same thing these kids created. Then these kids don’t get the credit for creating.

Being a creator from music, I’m humble and I always remember the times I didn’t have any resources. Coming up on the North, there’s no studios. We had to learn Mixcraft and free programmers where we had to record in one take. There was no stop and [we] didn’t know the radio stations. I remember how that felt to have no resources but be great at what you do. To give them kids the opportunity to show their talents and be designers, this is a new time in streetwear. Look at Virgil [Abloh] — you’ve seen him but you’ve never seen Maison Margiela. It’s a new wave, and giving the kids the opportunity to be creative with their clothing by being on the show, it just reminded me of me.

Let’s switch gears and get to the music. I remember David Banner saying that artists are taking your flows and not giving you all the proper credit. Do you agree?

Yeah bro. It’s a fact. If you go back in time and listen to music prior to 2013, the cadence and the flow didn’t matter. It was more about the bars and what you’re saying. Now, people get away with not saying nothing as long as the cadence and flow are good, and I feel like we created that. We did. I remember when Quavo was most influential in 2013. It just don’t be no respect given but that’s how my generation is anyway. A lot of kids don’t know about 2Pac and don’t respect it. It just be blowing my mind. I just take it as, you gotta keep proving to people who you are. And that’s okay with me, because that’s been my life story.

That’s how we came into this. We the forefront, but the story of our lives before music was about proving ourselves. We cool with that because that pressure brings humbleness and forces another side of creativity to come out. We feel like our backs are against the wall, and [it’s time to] let us show people what it really is.

What can we expect from Culture III? 

This is three years of creativity and sitting back, because we felt like the fans deserved that. We didn’t want to make nobody upset, but our main thing was creating the best project we ever created. We gotta top Culture and Culture II and that’s not even about first-week sales. A lot of people get lost in that but it’s about the creativity and the records and what they mean when you talk to me.

If I ask for a definition on each record, could you tell me what we’re talking about or what we mean? I think we did a great job with the way we bouncing the three flows. We not just doing one verse and one verse, we’re switching it up. We doing things other people can’t do because we the only group. We got creative with our flows so we could stamp another. We feel like we gonna lead the pack with this album. 

Is there one track, in particular, you can’t stop playing back?

Yeah, it’s gonna be called “Rolling Stone.” N—-s is walking on that s–t. You gonna see. Just know, you gonna respect n—-s musically so much with what we did with that record, the sound especially. 

I wonder since the band is back together, did y’all make it an emphasis to not rely on features or are you guys bringing any special friends to the party?

Light on the features. It’s straight us, bro. At the end of the day, we made all these records in the lab together. No verses were sent, and we took time out to be at every session. Migos time — I don’t want to go get everybody doing their thing, but I want my respect. I know what we gon’ do. 

You recently teamed up with DJ Khaled and H.E.R. on “We Going Crazy.” What was that vibe like? 

Salute Khaled, man. He’s a real GOAT, and a true man of creativity. He stands behind everything he do. He don’t care what nobody thinks or says and he’s a real producer, so you gotta trust him. He came to us with that beat and mixed it in and we looked at him crazy like, “What the f–k?” We went to his crib in Miami and knocked them verses down. We were already planning on locking in with H.E.R., maybe for her album, and then the Khaled record came in right on time.

The boy Khaled treat you like a general and he respect who you are. He sent the jet for the boys — the biggest. This is to get on his record. He sent the big boy there and back. We do the song the first night we get there and he’s got us there for three or four days. He told us to do our thing and he just wanted the verse and told us to enjoy ourselves. We asked him to see the nasty white Maybach so we could use it for a video. He said, “Bet, no problem.” We shot a video with the car and we had to bring him his car back, he didn’t even call! That’s a million-dollar car. He treat you how I would treat him. Jet back home, everything was player. Great father, I believe in that. 

You’ve been nasty on these features lately, especially on IDK’s “Shoot My Shot” and Lil Tjay’s “Run It Up.” Despite you being back in group mode, are you still gonna be crafting verses on the feature side?

Oh yeah. So what I did was I stepped back from everything because I wanted to make sure our foundation was set right. You know how the house got a foundation? It’s gonna fall if the foundation ain’t right, so I focused in and that’s why I took a year-and-a-half off from it. My last feature with Kodak Black [“Zeze”] went crazy. That’s like seven or eight times platinum. I felt like I should go to the group first, and once this album come, I gotta keep coming and walking on them. 

Like, the Lil Tjay one was crazy, and people don’t even know the story. We hit each other up and he had to turn his album in that Friday. I got the record on Thursday and shot the video on Saturday and he dropped it on Sunday. It was just like that. It was a full process. Boom! It ended up working out and I just went and shot my scene and we made it look like magic. It was crazy. 

That reminds me of when you said J. Cole sent you his verse at the buzzer when you had to turn in your project. 

Shout-out to Cole, man. He just dropped that album and that s–t is so hard. I respect him as a creator because he stands on himself. He ain’t doing nothing [he don’t want to do] — he dress how he dress.

On Tuesday, Zonnique and Bandhunta Izzy welcomed a new baby girl.

Her fellow co-hosts on ‘The Mix’ announced that Zonnique went into labor on Monday and delivered her baby girl on Tuesday morning.

Tiny took to Instagram and congratulated her daughter and stated, “Congratulations to my 1st my LuvBug @zonniquejailee My Gbaby is so fat & cute!! Just as I dreamed she would be!! I told y’all Today was a very Blessed day straight frm God! & yes I just loved this video so I had to!!”

Most recently, in an interview with Hollywoodlife, Zonnique shared that she’s not quite ready for marriage. Zonnique, 24, said, “I feel like at my age, I don’t really want to get married right now”.

“Like, I feel like that’s…an even bigger commitment–I don’t know, I hate to say like it’s an even bigger commitment than a baby to me,” she added.

Marriage isn’t completely out of the question for Zonnique however, because she’s definitely open to the idea down the line.

As for now however, she says that getting married just seems like “so much” and that’s just not what she wants right now. “Nique Nique” also adds that her boyfriend is more inclined to get married than she is–adding that her mum Tiny encourages her, especially if her man is in board.

In light of the recent gun violence involving rappers in the music industry, Faizon Love is placing the blame on one person in particular for influencing a lifestyle that promotes violence.

Faizon made some comments criticizing Jay Z during a recent interview with DJ Vlad, alleging Jay Z faked his drug lord persona, which resulted in younger rappers trying to emulate Hov even though according to Faizon, Jay was being something he really wasn’t.

From the cocaine era of Hip Hop to now, Faizon says he puts blame on Jay Z for the violence associated with the rap lifestyle.

“When Jay Z creates this whole drug dealer, drug lord, ‘I’m a drug dealer, I’m a drug lord,’ these kids…‘We gotta do it too. We gotta be like Jay Z,’” he said. “Not knowing that this is all made up s**t.”

Vlad went on to say he has interviewed Jay Z’s drug dealing partner DeHaven before but before Vlad could tell the story, Faizon abruptly interjected saying DeHaven was the “drug dealer” of the two.

“DeHaven knows the truth,” Faizon Love added. 

“Jay was involved but he was not the kingpin that he lays out in his music,” Vlad said in response to Faizon.

DJ Vlad cut to a clip of his DeHaven interview in which DeHaven confirmed Jay Z’s involvement in his operation but Faizon wasn’t sold.

Faizon ended the interview by saying Jay Z is “a puppet.”

Hov has yet to respond to Faizon’s interview but I can imagine he has a rhyme for it if he decides to address it in the future. We’ll keep you posted on this one.

Rapper Cardi B is the latest cover star for Billboard, in honor of her being named their 2020 Woman of the Year. For the feature, she sat down for a Skype interview with Billboard‘s hip-hop editor about her sex-positive anthem “WAP,” her business acumen and feelings on politics.

No stranger to controversy or scrutiny, Cardi B, 28, received heaps of backlash over her latest raunchy single with Megan Thee Stallion—especially from Republican conservatives. “So many Republicans…[like Ben] Shapiro, Candace Owens, Tomi Lahren — were talking so much crap about “WAP,” she said. She later went on to talk about why she’s so unfazed by attacks from political commentators, saying “The things that they say don’t make sense. A lot of things they be defending, it’s not something you need to be defending. It’s wrong.”

The artist is also a rising business woman, having inked lucrative deals with Pepsi, Reebok, and even the content platform, OnlyFans within the past year. During the interview, she spoke about the importance of understanding your worth and a figure and brand. “A lot of these companies, they want to give you a couple million dollars to represent them, and it’s like, ‘OK, but what am I really getting out of it?,’ she posed. “If 1% of my followers buy your product, you’re going to make triple what you’re paying me. I’m making sure I’m not selling myself short.”

Cardi isn’t itching to call herself an activist, even though she conducted live talks with Senator Bernie Sanders and President-elect Joe Biden and isn’t shy about speaking on political happenings. She says that she simply believes in justice and is willing to call out the necessary people to achieve social goals. Yet even with that, she still believes in the power of her duality as a woman.

“I want to show people that you can do positive things, but you can also be yourself,” she said. Later adding, “I don’t know if I’m an activist. I’m a Libra — we are the justice sign. I like fairness, and I have compassion toward everybody.”

Megan Thee Stallion is breaking her silence.

The “Savage” rapper took to Instagram on Wednesday to address an incident that occurred over the weekend, which ended in Tory Lanez’ arrest. Meg recounted the “traumatic night” and revealed that she suffered gunshot wounds and was hospitalized in a crime committed against her.

“The narrative that is being reported about Sunday’s morning events are inaccurate and I’d like to set the record straight,” she wrote. “On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me.”

Footage shows Megan being placed in handcuffs, but she was not arrested. Instead, she was taken to the hospital to undergo surgery for her bullet wounds. “I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets,” she added. “I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night.”

Megan is now in recovery and looks forward to getting back to her life. “I’m currently focused on my recovery, so I can return back to my life and back to making music as soon as possible.”

Added Meg, “This whole experience was an eye opener and a blessing in disguise. I hate that it took this experience for me to learn how to protect my energy.”

TMZ reports that police received a call of a disturbance outside a Hollywood Hills residence around 4:30 a.m. Sunday. When officers arrived, people were reportedly arguing in an SUV before multiple shots were fired in the air and the vehicle took off. The cops tracked down the car and detained Megan, Tory, and another woman. Tory was arrested and booked for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle.

Ciara Is Staying Positive While Pregnant On Lockdown: How Do I Make The Best Of This Moment?

34-year-old Ciara is pregnant with her 3rd child and while she’s been down this road before, this is the first time she’s experienced it during a pandemic. During an interview with Vogue, she opened up about being pregnant and vulnerable while in lockdown.

Ciara said,

“You don’t hear a lot about us expectant mothers during this time.”

She added that in the midst of the coronavirus era, she’s left with many unanswered questions.

“Can babies get COVID-19 through the uterus? It’s a big mystery, and we’re some of the most vulnerable beings. Our immune systems are compromised because we can’t take medicine if we get sick in case it affects the baby. If I get ill, I have to let it pass through my body.”

During this pregnancy, social distancing rules have prevented her Seattle Seahawks quarterback husband, Russell Wilson, from being as involved as he would want to be.

In April, Ciara shared a video of her doctor’s visit where her hubby, who would have normally been by her side, watched from the car as an ultrasound took place.

She said,

“I wanted to be really cautious.”

Ciara continued,

“I had a little ziplock bag of gloves for the appointment and then I had my mask. When I went from one room to the other, I switched to a new pair of gloves. When the image of the baby came on the screen, I FaceTimed Russ in the car so that he could see. We women carry the baby, but for my husband, being in the room and listening to the heartbeat in real time is one of his ways of connecting. For him not to be part of that was a symbol of this time that we’re living through.”

She played coy about her due date and said,

“I don’t like to put it out there in public. I just pray I make it to that magic 38-week mark…I’ve been living in my husband’s sweatpants. I’ve outgrown a lot of my clothes so I’ve resorted to going into Russ’s closet every day; thank God he has those XL sizes.”

Through it all, her goal is to stay positive.

“I always ask, ‘How do I make the best of this moment?’ That’s always been my attitude when you go through adversity.” 

While her pregnancies have been fairly easy, she said her body sings a different tune when it comes to delivering the baby.

“My body goes through this process where it shakes and I have to throw up. It’s a traumatic thing, but then I see the baby and forget all about it.”

She added that it’s important for her to stay grounded, even though she and Russell Wilson have amassed tons of success in their own careers.

“I know that my lifestyle now isn’t normal, so I go back in my mind to the experience that I had with my parents. We didn’t have a lot and I’ll never forget that.The simplest things in a child’s life can have the biggest impact on who they become, and we take a lot of pride in that.”

She even said her oldest son, six-year-old Future, has his own chores. And it looks like their unborn child, who the couple recently announced will be a boy, is set to follow suit.

“Future has a chore checklist and has been sweeping up around the house. Russ is all about structure – for boys especially. The male presence is very important for both boys and girls.”
