Maternity Moments: Russell Wilson Had to Cut Ciara Out of Her Dress Following Tom Ford Fashion Show [Photos]

by Denver

On Friday night, Ciara and husband Russell Wilson — who are expecting another child — stepped out for the Tom Ford Fashion Week show in Los Angeles.

While she looked absolutely incredible all night, we had no idea that her zipper broke on the way to the event.

The following morning, Ciara took to Instagram to give fans a recap — including a moment where Russell had to cut her out of her dress at the end of the night.

via People:

“What are the chances?” the pregnant star said in an Instagram Story video that showed her team trying to fix her dress. “I am running on my way to Tom Ford and my zipper popped. So now we’re just — this is how we’re getting to the show. Shoutout to Rachel and Amanda, just tag-teaming it right now. The stuff that we go through ladies, anything for fashion.”

After they returned home from the show, Wilson, 31, had to carefully cut his wife out of the dress.

“Right now my honey is cutting me out of this dress,” Ciara said in another Instagram Story video. “You cannot damage this dress, baby.”

During the fashion show, Ciara hid the zipper mishap, looking chic in the black turtleneck dress that showed off her baby bump. Meanwhile, the NFL star opted for a leopard-print jacket over a black turtleneck and black pants. Both stars shared sweet snaps from the event to Instagram.

With that massive payday from the NFL, we’re sure Ciara and Russell could more than afford to damage that dress.

If women shopped for Valentine’s day presents like men do…

by rebeccacnreid
I saw this and thought of you… (Picture: Getty)

It’s that time of year again.

Just as you get paid for the first time since Christmas, you realise that you’ve got another present to buy.

Only this time you’re supposed to buy a very specific gift. At Christmas or on a birthday you’re supposed to think of something clever and thoughtful that the person in your life will love.

But Valentine’s day is a different kettle of fish. Even thoughtful gift givers can be suckered into the traditional Valentine’s pitfalls.

Weirdly, and possibly because they don’t get marketed at every thirty seconds from late January to mid-February, women don’t seem to be suckered into this trap. But what would… Read the full story

Donald Glover: Migos Are The Beatles Of This Generation (VIDEO)

by Yohance Kyles (@HUEYmixwitRILEY)

Donald Glover

(AllHipHop News) Donald Glover produced one of the most talked about moments from last night’s Golden Globe Awards.

While accepting the trophy for Best Comedy Series, Glover shouted out Atlanta rap group Migos and their hit record “Bad and Boujee.”

The rapper/actor/writer continued his praise for the trio during a backstage press conference when a reporter asked Glover why he chose to mention Migos during his acceptance speech.

“I think they’re The Beatles of this generation. They don’t get a lot of respect outside of Atlanta,” Glover responded. “There’s a generation – sort of like the YouTube generation that I came up with – there’s a generation of kids that are growing up with something that’s separate from a whole group of people. Honestly, that song is just fly. There’s no better song to have sex to.”

Glover is not alone in his views on Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff.

The Migos-Beatles comparison has been an online discussion for years.

Besides his show Atlanta winning Best Comedy, Glover also took home the award for Best Actor in a TV Comedy Series for his role on the FX program.

Dairy Queen Franchise Store Owner Admits To Calling Black Mom The N-Word

by Sukii

An Illinois Dairy Queen franchise store owner is making national headlines after calling a customer the N-word, among other racial slurs. A young woman, Deianeira Ford, 21, requested a refund when her order could not be properly filled, at which point franchisee Jim Crichton grew agitated and began his verbal assault – in front of her children.

From the Chicago TribuneFord, who is biracial, said she did not receive her full order and asked for a refund after she was told she could not get the rest of it. The 21-year-old Ford alleged that when she asked for a refund of her $5, the store owner, who is white, called her and her children racial slurs.

In a report the Zion Police Department released Thursday, the responding officer wrote that the store owner, who corporate officials later identified as a franchisee, “proudly admitted” to calling the woman and her children the racial slurs and said he “would be happy go to jail over the issue.”

On Facebook, Ford wrote that at one point her daughter asked what the racial slur meant. Her post also said that when she asked the owner his name, he first said it was “‘Bill Clinton'” and then said, “‘better yet, I’m Donald Trump,’ and told me to go back where I came from.”

As mentioned, Crichton initially admitted to hurling the N-word at Ford, but his story changed on Thursday afternoon. According to the site, Crichton’s follow-up commentary went as follows: “It’s 99 percent lies. This is blown so far out of proportion it’s stupid. Her order was confusing, and I told her, ‘Here’s your money back,'” he said. “This is so far blown out of proportion.”

When first confronted by authorities, however, police say Crichton felt justified in being “fed up with Black people.”

After hearing Ford’s story, the officer approached the man, who appeared “angry and was pacing continually back and forth 180 degrees around me. He was also slightly shaking.”

“I asked him what happened with Ford and told him she was so disturbed by his behavior she was willing to sign a complaint against him,” the officer wrote. “(He) boastfully told me he would be happy to go to jail over the issue and proudly admitted to calling Ford a slur. He added that he is ‘fed up with black people,'” according to the officer’s report.

The owner then described how the night before, two “of them” were in his restaurant squirting ketchup all over the floor, the officer wrote. The store owner used slurs “freely to describe black people,” the report said.

Police Chief Stephen Dumyahn said in a statement Thursday, “Although we recognize the rights of business owners and managers to operate their business as they choose, under the law, we do not condone the inflammatory language that was used or the way this customer was treated.”

Dairy Queen’s corporate headquarters also reached out with a statement:

“On behalf of the hardworking DQ franchisees and employees around the world, we apologize for the inappropriate actions of this franchisee in Zion,” Dean Peters’ statement on the company’s behalf said. “… It is not what our brand stands for and is not representative of American Dairy Queen Corporation or its franchisee community.

“We expect our franchisees and their employees to treat every single person who walks through their doors with the utmost dignity and respect. Nothing less is acceptable,” the statement added. “Nearly all DQ restaurants are run by individual owners. Nevertheless, it is vital that they understand the importance of treating all of our fans with great respect.”

DJ Mustard Prefers Playing EDM Shows Because Hip-Hop Crowds Are Too Busy With Their Phones [VIDEO]

by Maurice Garland

DJ Mustard says he’d rather spin at EDM festivals because fans at Hip-Hop shows because people are too cool to dance.

DJ Mustard has given the world a handful of party tracks, but in his travels, he’s noticed that it’s not the Hip-Hop crowds that give him the most energy.

In an interview with Billboard the DJ/producer talked about the difference between playing for EDM fans and Hip-Hop fans.

“Hip-Hop crowds is just like this,” he says, holding up his hand, mimicking a person holding up their phone. “EDM crowds is just mosh pits, people going crazy. Kids on top of kids, it’s just wild.”

He continues, “the Hip-Hop crowds everyone just wants to be cool…they’re just looking for the WORLDSTAR moment.”

The guy does make a point. We’re sure you can count on multiple hands the times your view at a Hip-Hop show was blocked by someone filming just to put it on social media. Whether it’s Drake disses, Kanye rants or Beyonce Shawty Lo tributes, Hip-Hop fans keep their phones out to catch moments as they happen.

Sometimes it’s cool, other times it can be annoying. But let’s not act like EDM shows don’t have their issues as well. The idea of jumping around with strangers high off who knows what may not be fun for everyone.

What do you think of Mustard’s remarks?

This Is Why Tyra Banks Is Still ‘Very Afraid’ of Naomi Campbell

This Is Why Tyra Banks Is Still 'Very Afraid' of Naomi Campbell

This Is Why Tyra Banks Is Still ‘Very Afraid’ of Naomi Campbell

Some fear never goes away. Just ask Tyra Banks. In a recent interview, Tyra revealed that years later, she’s still afraid of fellow legendary supermodel Naomi Campbell, which happens to be years after their public feud.

This Is Why Tyra Banks Is Still 'Very Afraid' of Naomi Campbell

Tyra Banks

She recalls her journey to being a star on the cat walk, stating:

I got to Paris, and it was very difficult. I did really well really fast, but then the industry was saying, ‘Oh, look out, Naomi Campbell, here comes Tyra Banks! So Naomi Campbell, sit your butt down. This younger one is coming to take your place.’

This Is Why Tyra Banks Is Still 'Very Afraid' of Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell

She continues,

It wasn’t fair to Naomi. … To this day, I’m very scared of her. I don’t want to go too deep into the past, but it was very difficult — like some of the lowest times in my life — dealing with that. I don’t condone her actions and her response, but I understand where it comes from because the world is saying, ‘You’re not going to have your spot. We’re going to take your money, we’re going to take your fame. Go sit down, there’s somebody else.’

14 years later, the pair finally had a conversation about the situation. Naomi appeared on The Tyra Banks Show to discuss their drama. Tyra says,

I cried like a baby. I asked her why [she reacted so harshly]. She kept saying it never happened, and then there was a commercial break and she came back and said, ‘You know what, I’m sorry.’ To hear that apology meant the world to me. She has no idea what it did for me. It did a lot. Thank you, Naomi.

Jeezy On Donald Trump: “If He Was A Rapper Right Now, He’d Be 2Pac” [Audio]

by Biz Jones
Jeezy

Atlanta rapper Jeezy is applauding Donald Trump‘s business hustle. The Snowman has shared some thoughts on the presidential hopeful.

In a new interview, Jeezy shouted out Trump’s entrepreneurship but questioned his skills as a possible next president.

“When I look at the election right now and all the bullsh*t that’s going on, you can’t help but laugh. You got Donald Trump – and I tell n*ggas, that n*gga’s cold. If he was a rapper right now, he’d be 2Pac. If you put that album out right now, it’d be diamond. He hot. … You can be a businessman, that means none of your employees gotta like you. By the way, if your business is successful, nine times out of ten your employees aren’t going to like you – I ain’t gonna knock the man and say he’s not a good businessman, but he’s not f*cking presidential material. He doesn’t have or practice the same morals that people have when they’re in those positions of power. Even if they gave him a play where he could help the deficit – but you’re talking about commander-in-chief?” (Tax Season)

This week, R&B singer Ty Dolla $ign weighed-in on Trump versus Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

“Everybody seems to be saying, ‘Stay at home, don’t vote because we have two that are both boof as f–k.’ But we have one that’s more boof. So I want to encourage everyone to vote so that we don’t end up with a guy that says he’s going to f—ing ban f*cking Mexicans for coming out here and build a wall and make them pay for it. Like come on, man. Would you rather have a president hiding their emails and, um, lying about other things. Or, uh, a f—ing racist? I think it’s an easy call even though both of them are f—ing boof like I said. [Hillary’s campaign] is not paying me to say this.” (Billboard)

A few days ago, NBA star LeBron James publicly gave his support to Clinton.

When I look at this year’s presidential race, it’s clear which candidate believes the same thing. Only one person running truly understands the struggles of an Akron child born into poverty. And when I think about the kinds of policies and ideas the kids in my foundation need from our government, the choice is clear. That candidate is Hillary Clinton.” (Business Insider)

As of late, music stars ranging from Kehlani to 50 Cent have taken public shots at Trump.

3 Reasons Why A Guy Calling His Ex ‘Crazy’ Is A Huge Red Flag

by Sabrina Gauer

“I mean, there’s no way it was ever going to work out. She’s crazy. Seriously, insane.”

I’ve lost track of the amount of times I’ve heard that excuse from a friend, or a boyfriend, about their ex. It’s usually after a few conversations, and “getting to know you” questions, that this comes up as the go-to response for “What happened with your last serious relationship?” And there, the conversation ends.

However, life experience has taught me a few lessons in the dating world, and in this particular case, has proven to be correct every time. Here are few of these red flags to look out for:

1. There are two sides to every story.

I can assure you, from the point of view of a woman who has been referred to as “crazy”, there are many things that lead to a relationship ending negatively. These things include feelings, misunderstandings, lack of communication and numerous situation.

When we don’t know the whole story, it’s easy to pick sides. But I know, also from personal experience, that men who refuse to see the plank in their own eye are usually the reason women become “crazy.”

Maybe he has communication issues, and she wanted more attention than he was giving. Perhaps he was cheating, and she caught him. Or, maybe he needed more from her than she was able to decipher, and deeper issues surfaced as a result. Whatever the case, always be aware that you’re only hearing one side.

2. It’s the perfect way to quickly dismiss questions about his past.

I once had an ex’s current girlfriend boldly contact me, in order to inform me that he had described me as “crazy,” and she wanted to know why.

After the initial disbelief that she was reaching out to me like that, I simply responded, “If he feels the need to refer to me and our previous relationship in that way, then perhaps you should be questioning the maturity of the guy you are dating.”

If the guy you’re dating seems to dismiss your questions with that easy, overused label, then perhaps you need to reevaluate him. “Crazy” should not be an adequate, or acceptable, description.

3. He’s playing the victim.

When your man is quick to play the “crazy” card about his ex, it should raise warnings. Men who want to constantly blame others, and talk about the faults of their exes, are looking for your sympathy.

But, they’re also setting the tone for your current relationship. They’re making you feel like you have to watch your step, and like you have to work harder to be better than the ex. Many times, it’s a form of emotional manipulation.

The sooner you realize this, the sooner you’ll save yourself from pain and heartache.

Instead, they should be able to take responsibility for their actions and treat past relationships with respect and dignity. Even if it wasn’t the best scenario, when someone can give an honest assessment of their past, and take ownership for their shortcomings, it’s a sign of emotional maturity.

Playing the victim, however, is always a glaring red flag with warning bells and whistles.

It’s time we put effort into real-time communication, authenticity and self-evaluation, as well as partner evaluations, to see if there is compatibility beyond just physical attraction. Ignoring the warning signs only sets ourselves up for more “crazy” in the end.

Preach: Read Ms. Tina Knowles’ Moving Post Supporting Colin Kaepernick

by @CoupCoup40Cal

Beyoncé‘s mom, Tina Knowles, is standing with 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in his protest against systematic racism in the U.S.

Ms. Knowles took to Instagram to voice her support for Kaepernick, who refused to honor the America flag during the national anthem before a game.

Kaepernick has received backlash from some fans, who consider the protest an affront to patriotism.

Tina said:

“I’d like to know if they are as outraged by all the senseless killing of minorities, all of the racial injustices in America, that people are okay with. We turn a blind eye to it and as long as it is not affecting us personally we avoid thinking, discussing, protesting, and doing a thing about it.”

No, You’re Actually Not Meant To Pursue What You Love.

by Brianna Wiest

When people learn that I’m a writer, more than half of them will immediately tell me about how they have an idea for a book, or that they need an editor for their autobiography, or that, though it sounds crazy, they are certain they have this one idea that would be a mega bestseller. Like, one of the biggest books in the world.

I have not known one of them to have published anything  —  nor are they working on their (supposedly brilliant) bodies of work. They aren’t asking about how to write 5,000+ words a day. They aren’t strategizing their marketing plans, or researching agencies, or pitching queries to publishing houses.

In other cases, writing a few articles a day becomes too much labor, their ideas dry out after a month. They’re frustrated. They’re at odds with themselves. The very thing they love is proving to be a wrong fit. How can this be?

We’re doing people an incredible disservice by telling them they should seek, and pursue, what they love.

We’re doing people an incredible disservice by telling them they should seek, and pursue, what they love. People usually can’t differentiate what they really love and what they love the idea of.

But more importantly, you are not meant to do what you love. You are meant to do what you’re skilled at. Imagine an aspiring doctor with a low IQ but a lot of “passion.” They wouldn’t make it through medical school, and you wouldn’t want them to.

If that person didn’t know better, they’d develop an inferiority complex and spend the better part of their life bitter and assuming themselves to be failures. They didn’t get to do what they thought they loved, so they haven’t actualized their lives as they were supposed to.

Premeditating what we think we’d love to do without actually being in the thick of it is the beginning of the problem, and having too much ego to scrap it and start over is the end. When we try to anticipate what we’d love, we’re running on a projection, an assumption. Almost everybody believes they have the talent to succeed at the thing they really love. Needless to say, not everybody is correct.

We are not fulfilled by what we can seek to please us, but what we can build and offer.

If everybody did what they thought they loved, the important things wouldn’t get done. To function as a society, there are labors that are necessary. Someone has to do them. Is that person robbed of a life of passion, because they had to choose a life of skill and purpose? No, of course not.

You can choose what you love to do, simply by how you think of it and what you focus on. Everything is work. Everything is work. Everything is work. There are few jobs that are fundamentally “easier” than others, whether by virtue of manual labor or brain-power. There is only finding a job that suits you enough that the work doesn’t feel excruciating. There is only finding what you are skilled at, and then learning to be thankful.

The real joy of daily work is in what we have to give. We are not fulfilled by what we can seek to please us, but what we can build and offer. It is not fame, or money, or recognition that makes for a thoroughly meaningful life, it is how we put our gifts to use. It is how we give.

There’s more to your life than just what you think will make you happy.

Think about the structure of that phrase: “Do what you have to give.” What you have to give. What is already within you. Your gifts are not random, they are a blueprint for your destiny. There’s more to your life than just what you think will make you happy. Your real talents may not stroke your ego as much, but if you apply to them the kind of higher thinking that allows you to find the purpose within them, you will be able to get up every single day and work diligently. Not because you are stoking your senses and stroking your ego, but because you are using what you have.

You are doing what you came here to do.

The #1 Tip For Finding Love After 50!

If you've ever wondered why dating felt like you were driving with one foot on the brake and one foot on the gas or you're wondering why you're not meeting great guys to spend time with, I'd like to share something with you.

Things like having a great profile, knowing how to flirt and where to meet men are very important steps on the dating journey you're taking.

These skills are a big part of what I teach in all my coaching programs.

But they are not the most important as I'll explain.

Most women believe if they just had the right body or lived in a particular city or had more men to choose from, the man and the relationship would be so much easier to find.

I know, because I've been closely observing, teaching and championing unhappy single women over 50 for quite a while.

And here's what I've discovered: Your level of dating success isn't really about your looks or your weight.

If you want to know the truth, it actually stems from your mindset... the fears and limiting beliefs you may have about yourself and the men you want to date.

And most importantly... whether or not you feel 'good enough' to get the type of man you want.

Your mindset about YOU is the ONE single thing that determines your level of success or failure in dating.

When you have a mindset of self confidence, your results get transformed, often overnight, and this translates to big breakthroughs in the number of good men who contact you and how many dates you go on.

I want to give you 2 simple tips you can start using right away to boost your confidence and give it a major jumpstart.

The first is... you want to develop a knowing from your deepest core that you are a GREAT CATCH. And by the way....you are!

Here's how you can get in touch with your AWESOME SELF again.

Take a few minutes and write down a list of at least 15-20 qualities you love about you.

They can be about your physical appearance, or they can be wonderful things about your personality or about things you love doing or are really good at.

By the way, the last two are your passions and men are wildly attracted to women who are passionate about their life.

Next take your list and go stand in front of a mirror. I know it sounds funny but this works.

Share with the beautiful woman in the mirror this sentence....I want to tell you about a great friend of mine who is so awesome.

Next use the phrase she loves her (filling in the blank from your list about your physical and personalities qualities) or she is good at (again fill in the blank from your list of passions)...as you read the list out loud to the woman in the mirror.

Saying the words out loud....is what makes this such a powerful exercise when it comes to remembering just how AWESOME you really are.

Secondly, invest in a couple of dating outfits that make you feel beautiful and amazing. They don't have to be expensive. You just want them to match how amazing you feel inside.

Your confidence is the number ONE trait that will attract a good man to you.

Spend some time doing the exercises I gave you and watch the difference it makes in your love life with the men you want to date.

How did these exercises work for you? Leave your comments below.
