Gearbox announces DLC for Borderlands 2 this fall, level cap raised

by Bart Van der Geest

They have to spoil the surprises don't they? But let's play!!

Last weekend, in a panel at PAX Australia, Gearbox announced there would be more DLC incoming this fall for Borderlands 2. This comes together with an increase in the Borderlands 2 level cap by 11 levels, making the total 72.

The newly announced content comes in the form of Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2: Digistruct Peak Challenge, which will be available for $5.00 in October. The Digistruct Peak Challenge will feature a new map where players will fight high-level enemies to gain new loot. For the die-hard Borderlands players, The DLC equally adds the option to raise the difficulty bar outside of their character’s level. Additional backpack, ammo and bank slots will be available in an upcoming free update.

Rest assured, this isn’t everything yet! Gearbox also announced 2 or 3 ‘Headhunter’ packs offering extra missions and new unique boss fights. The first of them will be called T.K. Baha’s Bloody Harvest in which players play with the zombie version of one of the characters in the first Borderlands in order to defeat Jaques O’Lantern, a giant pumpkin boss. We still havn’t received specific prices or release dates for these packs however.

Last month, the Borderlands 2 season pass concluded with the release of Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. These newly announced DLC’s will therefore not figure in the season pass, and will be sold separately.

22 Unbelievable Places that are Hard to Believe Really Exist

by World Observer

Our world is so full of wonders that new and amazing places are discovered every day, be that by professional photographers or amateurs. Different geographical locations, climatic conditions and even seasons offer the widest variety of natural wonders: pink lakes, stunning lavender or tulip fields, breath-taking canyons and mountains, and other places you can hardly believe actually exist!

Some of the pictures in this collection will be of all natural sights you can find while traveling around the world, while the others have experienced human interference – but even in these cases, the result of such collaboration is spectacular. The Japanese learned how to tame thousands of orchids and form a romantic tunnel out of them; another one was formed all the way in Ukraine by a passing train; and what eventually ends up as hot tea in our mugs, first grows in stunning tree fields in Asia.

No wonder that traveling in one of the best forms of recreation – even looking at these pictures takes your mind to far away places… And yes, all those of those places are real!

Vodka & Rum Soaked Gummy Bears!

Must make!

Boozy Gummy Bears- so fun & easy to make! Click for instructionsI've always wanted to try vodka soaked gummy bears ever since seeing them on Pinterest. To be honest, I was a little scared that it was too good to be true. Would the gummies get all sticky or giant and weird? Plus all of the instructions on Pinterest are different. Reading through the search you'll see people recommending they soak for an hour, a day, and a week. That's crazy different, right? Well, we tried it and here's what we learned...

Making boozy gummy bears! It's so easy! Making Vodka soaked gummy bears! The method we chose to try was soaking the gummy bears (and worms) for about 24 hours. We tried three different types of alcohol- apple vodka, coconut rum and watermelon vodka. We poured the alcohol over the gummy candy until it was completely immersed. Then we covered it in plastic wrap and popped it in the fridge for 24 hours. The next day the gummies had soaked up most the alcohol, there was only a little bit to strain out. If we had left them in for 48 hours they probably would have soaked it all in.

Apple vodka soaked gummy bearsThe bears tasted amazing. They weren't sticky or gross at all, but we did use a spoon to put them on our plates. Our favorite flavors were the apple vodka and coconut rum. I noticed that the gummy worms weren't as soft. I have seen that you can try this method with nearly any liquor and any gummy candy, so the possibilities are pretty cool!

Have you ever tried alcohol soaked gummy candy? What do you think, delicious or weird? They were a HUGE hit at Emma's bachelorette party!

Bachelorette party photos coming soon! xoxo. elsie
