A year ago, we first heard about Frontiers, a game that was looking a lot like an Elder Scrolls title, only it was being made by two people. Well, good news everyone: the project continues.

DixVisualment te bona pinta, la historia, si no fossin els Wachowski, sería mes esceptic...

I approve :P

Lego has recently been licensing tons of geeky properties like Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, and both Marvel and DC comics figures. But they’ve been a bit lacking in licensing video games, with the exception of Minecraft. The site Saber-Scorpian’s Lair provides tons of geeky Lego designs, including these minifigures based off Mass Effect.
The figures separately run for around $20, the cost varies for less and more complex figures, or you can pick up the entire “Star Explorers Series 1” collection for $134.99, which saves you $9.94.

Alternatively, a set of stickers for each character is available for $1.50, or $25.00 for the character pack, and can be used to modify a figure you already own. Also sold are PDF instructions for building larger creations, like the M35 Mako from Mass Effect, and weapons for minifigures.
The minifigures are mainly designed by Justin R. Stebbins, who is aided by his brother and sister, and he’s been running Saber-Scorpion’s Lair since 2000. Stebbins also sells minifigures based on Halo, Gears of War, Dead Space, Destiny, Tomb Raider, Team Fortress 2, and several more popular video game franchises.
Thanks for the tip, Luis!

First Look at Matt Ryan as John Constantine (via The Escapist)
"The TV series is based on the DC comics character John Constantine, who starred in the Hellblazer comics from DC’s Vertigo line and later in DC’s The New 52 title Constantine. Writer and producer David Goyer has said that NBC’s Constantine will “[cling] more closely to the source material than the film.” The 2005 Keanu Reeves version of Constantine is widely regarded as a poor adaptation of the comic books.
Ryan is known for his role as the voice of Edward Kenway in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and on Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviour. The Welsh actor has gone blond to play Constantine, who is described by NBC as an “enigmatic and irreverent Liverpool con-man-turned-occult-detective”, and is a blond Londoner in the comic books.”

ANNOUNCING. A new original documentary series, a BBC AMERICA and BBC Two co-production. The Real History of Science Fiction premieres Saturday, April 19, 10:00pm ET after the Season 2 premiere of orphanblack.
From Star Wars to 2001: A Space Odyssey, and from Jurassic Park to Doctor Who, each program is packed with contributors behind these creations and traces the developments of Robots,Space, Invasion and Time. Narrated by Mark Gatiss, Doctor Who writer, actor and co-creator of the BBC’s Sherlock, the series determines why science fiction is not merely a genre… for its audience it’s a portal to a multi-verse – one that is all too easy to get lost in.
Among those taking part are: William Shatner (Star Trek), Nathan Fillion (Firefly), Zoe Saldana (Avatar, Star Trek), Steven Moffat (Doctor Who), Richard Dreyfuss (Close Encounters of the Third Kind), Chris Carter (The X-Files), Ronald D Moore (Battlestar Galactica), John Landis (An American Werewolf in London, Schlock), David Tennant (Doctor Who), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner), John Carpenter (Dark Star, The Thing), Karen Gillan (Doctor Who), Neil Gaiman (The Sandman, Stardust), Kim Stanley Robinson (Mars Trilogy), Scott Bakula (Quantum Leap, Star Trek: Enterprise), Ursula K Le Guin (The Left Hand of Darkness), Syd Mead (Blade Runner), Kenny Baker (Star Wars),Anthony Daniels (Star Wars), Nichelle Nichols (Star Trek), Peter Weller (Robocop), Edward James Olmos (Blade Runner, Battlestar Galactica) and many more.
On one level, sci-fi can deliver a ‘white knuckle-ride’ – jaw-dropping special effects, and thrills that have cinemagoers flying out of their seats. But also, it is possibly the only area of pop culture that engages with big ideas. Good science fiction engages audiences on a deeper level than mere spectacle; it becomes a place to discuss not just the universe and how it works – but what it means to be emotional, sentient human beings.
We can’t wait for this exciting documentary eye-opener to The Real History of Science Fiction.
Signal boosting this announcement as it is relevant to our interests.

So uh, yeah, apparently this exists. A RESIDENT EVIL SHOOTEM UP. And only in Japan you’ll see cool stuff like this, smh:
"If you’ve ever wanted to take part in a zombie apocalypse, but without your brain being eaten, look no further. It’s right here in Universal Studios Japan.”Today in Osaka, Universal Studios Japan rolled out its latest attraction, Resident Evil The Real. Here’s an inside look at the attraction, which is open for a limited time only. P
As previously mentioned, Resident Evil The Real (aka “Biohazard The Real”) is a live-action shooting attraction at USJ that uses the same practice shooting system used by police and military. Each visitor is equipped with a 700 gram “model gun” that only has thirty virtual bullets. The goal is to shoot the zombies and other creatures, eradicating the virus contagion.
The attraction is divided into two stages. The first stage has two different routes: The Raccoon City Police Department route and the hospital route. Groups of eight go through each course, shooting zombies and other monsters along the way. Clear the first stage, and you can continue to the second, which is set in the Umbrella Research Center, for the final showdown.
This makes "The Walking Dead "Universal studios attraction look like a stroll through the The Grove in Glendale, Ca.
One ticket to Japan, please, and thank you.

For the past 35 years designer Hans Fex has been collecting some of the Earth’s most rare historical specimens including a fossil of a palm tree from Antarctica, wrap from a mummy, coal from the Titanic, dinosaur bones, and even a piece of the Apollo 11 command module. Working with specialists recommended by museum curators, research scientists and university historians, he has now amassed some 33 special objects that he’s broken down into tiny fragments and inserted into translucent resin case he calls the Mini Museum. Because the collected specimens are absurdly unique, the project is currently going crazy over on Kickstarter where you can see detailed information and photos of every single object appearing in the museum.
Some additional specimens include the foundation of Abraham Lincoln’s House, the Berlin Wall, the London Bridge, mammoth hair, 60 million year old insect amber, and part of a t-rex tooth.
