I’m a regular guy, who likes food. I like pizza, and I like hot dogs. Do I think that those two can combine? Not always, but Pizza Hut is going to try and change my opinion.

Coming June 18, according to the aptly-named The Impulsive Buy (which is exactly what I’ll be doing when this shit hits stores), Pizza Hut will begin their rollout of the hot dog crust in US restaurants. The crust has been formerly tested in Australian, Canadian, and Korean markets, but if there’s anything we know about the US it’s that we can never turn down a good idea. Here’s an Australian commercial detailing the pizza crust:

Now, will I eat this? I ate a burger that had a literal Snickers bar in it this past weekend and I wasn’t phased, so you bet your ass I’m gonna eat this. Is it going to be enjoyable? Probably, but only time will tell.

Are you going to eat the Pizza Hut Hot Dog Crust when it hits? Or is this fast food gone too far?

Over the weekend, a YouTube video was uploaded that documented Officer Eric Casebolt of the McKinney, TX Police Force very forcefully and violently detaining a 15-year-old girl during a break up of a pool party that saw a mom and her daughter in an altercation.

Here’s the video in question, with the arrest coming in at 2:50:

The video has received over 10 million views in four days, and has social media ablaze with their disgust with the police officer. The Police Chief of the McKinney Force, Greg Conley, put the officer on leave while they did damage control, but now Officer Casebolt has resigned. While this action is for the betterment of the force, things may still not be over, as Police Chief Conley had a few extra words about Casebolt’s actions, according to The Washington Post:

As the video shows, he was out of control during the incident,” Conley said. “I had 12 officers on the scene, and 11 of them performed according to their training.”

[Police Chief Conley also] called Casebolt’s actions “indefensible.”

Whether Casebolt receives any further punishment remains to be seen, as there is the possibility he could still face criminal charges. I certainly hope he finds himself in a court room to explain his actions sooner than later. But what do you guys think? Is resigning enough? Or should further actions be taken?

Organizers of the Taste of Des Plaines realize that much of the community's attention will be focused on the Blackhawks Stanley Cup Final Game 5 Saturday night. That's why officials announced Wednesday they will be setting up a TV viewing area at the fest so you won't have to miss a second of the game.

Community events, water features, and even a gazebo are some of the ideas that have been proposed to draw more people to Metropolitan Square in Des Plaines.

Pere Marquette 1225's return to Cadillac excursion was special for many reasons. One of them was that the locomotive would traverse over rails she had never been on before. From Manton to Cadillac, the locomotive would battle an 11.65 mile long, 1.6% grade with a long passenger consist and some light assistance of a diesel helper.
