LuciocYay!!! Especialmente porque a temporada de Dominion foi muito curtinha, acho que tinham pouco dinheiro para fazer os efeitos das asas dos anjos.
E não, ainda não explicaram como o Sumiço de Asas funciona. Baseado em observações nos vários episódios, acho que os anjos operam milagres toda vez que fazem as asas aparecerem ou sumirem - acho que fazem células-tronco crescerem em asas gigantes milhões de vezes mais rápido que qualquer processo de crescimento natural, e depois fazem as asas sumirem por autofagia (também acelerada milhões de vezes).
Também tenho muita curiosidade para saber que merda de porra tirada do cu é o tal do "aço empíreo". É um elemento transurânico?

Any suggestions on prepping for a global Ebola?
LuciocEu gostei do comentário do cara pegando o exemplo dos Estados Unidos e traçando um cenário interessante: que as mortes de Ebola em si vão ser relativamente poucas, o problema vai ser o pânico e o potencial shutdown econômico que um outbreak de Ebola no Zuza causaria.
Just a thought experiment for now.
Would be nice if it gets to remain that way.
Anyone out there have any tips, suggestions and/or thoughts on how to prep for Ebola if it goes global?
The way I see it, the 'crowd' or general public have yet to really catch on to the threat of global Ebola. Perhaps they are right and the current outbreak will burn itself out before spreading further. Perhaps not. I feel we are approaching a time where it is a good idea to consider both possibilities and form some sort of contingency for mitigating the risk on a personal level.
Once enough people catch on (assuming worst cases are actually playing out), it may become rather difficult to prepare for the worst.
My thoughts on this are basic. My setting is 1st world mid sized city so my ideas are from that perspective. -bug in for at least 3 months, longer the better -avoid all external contact during this time period -2 to 4 months of daily food/water -basic medical stuff (first aid etc) maybe x2 on what is normally kept -solar panels and an extra car battery?
Anyone else running through any ideas?

Eu lembro que mesmo quando eu era criança a quantidade de pessoas com "mutações" diversas andando na rua era muito maior que hoje em dia, porque a medicina não conseguia corrigir tudo. Era cheio de gente com perninhas de paralisia infantil, outros com ossos curvos/tortos, tetsuos de elefantíase, e por aí vai.

LuciocHeh, outro problema. Os defuntos ficam contagiosos por dia. O CDC está recomendando ou colocar o defunto em um caixão hermeticamente fechado (que aparentemente não existe no mercado americano, pelo depoimento de um agente funerário no artigo) ou cremar. (Mas imagino que no caminho/manuseio para o crematório também tem n possibilidades de contágio.)

LuciocHihihihihihihiih... Descobriram que existe uma correlação entre o mercado de serviços dentários estar uma merda e um crash geral do mercado acontecer - no Zuza, pelo menos.
O raciocínio é que tratamento dentário custa OS TUBOS e boa parte deles é de coisas que a pessoa pode aguentar/viver sem (clareamento, limpeza, correções ortodônticas, etc). Aí em épocas em que as pessoas começam a apertar os cintos serviço de dentista é das primeiras coisas que é cortada.

Sky pirate or the most epic and put together dream I've had
LuciocHihihihihihi...
Brace yourself, this one is weird and epic.
Last night I dreamed I was a pirate wielding a cutlass, captaining a airship like a ship/blimp. In general there was a very epic feel like I was in a video game or movie and things were a little more dramatic than they would be in real life, and it was almost in scene form, where part of the dream would be connected to the other parts, but not in direct succession like they would be I was living through the whole story.
During a raid, we were damaged in the blimp section and we had to land in the ocean and hoist sails while we repaired. On the sea we were not as fast, or nimble as in the air, and soon we were beset by another ship, who came up beside us, also flying a pirate flag.
The captain of this ship was a spitting image of me, and it was soon revealed that he was me. Apparently we were part of a story that reiterated every 2 years or so. The story elements were almost always the same: a pirate princess as a co-protagonist, a hunt for gems, a child being born and becoming a future protagonist like what happened to me... etc. However certain elements of the iterations changed. For instance I was living a pirate fantasy much as my revealed father in front of me was, but he was living a more commanding role, and had a armada of ships of the line that could not fly and was basically a commodore fantasy. I was leading a small boat/airship and was apparently living a fantasy based on insurrection and being a rebel.
He convinced my ship and I to help him take on a large patrol as part of his armada on the sea. We performed a maneuver called Crossing the T, in which the entire of the patrol had to sail single file through our line while being fired at by our broadsides. This is a real historical tactic, and we won handily. We started celebrating at a village of natives that lived in tree houses and walkways.
During the celebration, things slowly got darker in this dream. It seems part of the fantasies that stayed constant was how the parents as part of ending their stories, would become the villains in the next story. This was revealed by the pirate princess that was accompanying my fleet commodore father. Apparently he was going around killing his children, and would probably do the same to me. His apparent motive was that while his kids were dead, his story would continue and the next iteration would not start. It was imperative that I continue my story or I would end as part of his. To finish I would have to defeat my father, and find a magic gem and pair of magic dresses. The gem was the objective of these iterations, and signaled the end of the story. My father had not found his yet either. The dresses were some kind of armor, and helped the wearer avoid harm. I believe they slowed aging too. There were two of them. One for her and one for me. I remember thinking it funny that a big bad pirate captain would be wearing a dress, but the princess pointed out that if they worked and made you better at your fantasy, who would care. The crew of rough and tumble pirates would even come around under their near invincible captain.
The princess came with me and I informed my crew that we needed to fight to get back to our ship and a large battle started. I fought with my father for a small part of the battle with cutlasses, but he was better than me as he was older and had more experience. I eventually had to retreat as he overpowered me, and his crew began taking pot shots at me with muskets. I started hiding in a tree house hut, suddenly super afraid with all the splintering wood around me. I was super fearful realizing that others like me had died, and my father was very powerful. I didn't want to die.
The dream ended here. My immediate feelings on waking up was the lingering fear I had at the end of the dream, a feeling of awe that I had such a detailed memorable dream, and a philosophical feeling that if everything in the dream was true I too would end up as a antagonist within a few short years even though my mindset at the time seemed noble and honorable.
