Во вторник утром с папой сходили на почту, получили заказные письма с налоговой службы. Потом кушали тушеную картошку с мясом, доели. Потом поехали на дачу на машине. Кушали макароны с яичницей и жареной колбасой. Потом поиграли в карты, поспали. Проиграл 5 раз я. Потом начали работать, я перетаскивал песок из-за забора на участок. Папа монтировал купленный бассейн, смонтировал, налил туда воду. Вечером пришел мастер Владимир, взял расчет 12 тыс. рублей, потом родители пили с ним водку. На ужин я скушал бутерброд с колбасой и полсникерса.
Среда - утром кушал гороховый суп, потом убирал строительный мусор от дома, с папой перненесли корыто и бочки Владимира ближе к выходу. Потом я отдыхал, спал. Потом переносил листы железа за баню. Обедали жареными кабачками. Потом отдыхали. Потом красил столбы ( 6 штук), тянущие трубы с газом в баню, в синий цвет. Сходил в магазин, купил пиво и квас, вечером должны прийти дядя Борис с женой. На ужин кушал макароны с мясом. Играли в карты в беседке, проиграла 5 раз мама.
Четверг - на завтрак кушали баклажаны, жаренные с яйцом. Потом я поспал. В час начал работать, бетонировали с папой новый въезд во двор. Умаялся. Потом я отдыхал. На ужин кушал борщ. и полсникерса.
Пятница - на завтрак кушали сырники. Потом родители уехали в Сакмарский, а я ровнял землю, где новый въезд во двор, потом отдыхал. Потом с папой продолжили бетонировали выъезд, я сделал 1 замес. Потом мы с мамой купались в бассейне, пили пиво. Потом кушали борщ, играли в карты. Потом я поехал домой на электричке. Сижу в интернете, купил винца литр изабеллы и марс. Еще купил 3 литра кваса. Такие дни.

I don't often go to the movies, but last night offered that rare chance, and I went to see Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom. I'm a big fan of Anderson's films (Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore, The Life Aquatic, etc.), and this film had that same 'dollhouse' quality, quirky plot, and amazing cast of characters.

The film is set in 1965, and one of the main characters, Suzy Bishop (Kara Hayward), is a twelve-year-old runaway. She meets up with her boyfriend, an orphaned 'Khaki Scout,' and they hit the trail and set up camp. Suzy has packed her suitcase with six books that she stole from the library, with titles like The Girl From Jupiter, The Francine Odysseys, and Disappearance of the 6th Grade. Throughout the film, she reads excerpts from some of the books. The books are fake -- props written by Anderson-- but it was great to see books with such a leading role. And, in what must be a first for modern film, the book jacket designers got a huge credit at the end.

When I got home, I did a little quick research on the books, and it turns out that Anderson had considered animating the reading scenes and so commissioned animations of all six books, later used separately in a supplementary video to promote the film. You can view them here.

One of the things that we most love about the arrival of summer is to have picnics! Prepare a simple meal and eat it outdoors — it is just sooo nice. And I am definitely ready for it. I loved it when I found these cute carton picnic boxes at SelpPackaging,  so ideal for giving them a “personal touch”.

Today I would like to show you my final result. With a bit of washi tape, lace, craft paper and a spring mood stamp… and that wooden cutlery that is just too cute to resist!!!.

There are many options, I am sure my little boy would do something completely different, but the boxes are perfect to carry food in a very stylish and personal way!!

Today I was at my local market in Takapuna where I came across Baby Caterpillar.  They make the most gorgeous 100% pure NZ merino sleep wear for children including sleeping bags and wraps for babies.  They are beautifully made and so soft and the colours are gorgeous. I bought the pyjamas for my son.  I wish they came in my size!

I’m soooo fed up with all the rain we’ve had this spring in London! Apart from a couple sunny weeks, it has been a loooooong wet year so far! Instead of buying my kids new summery sandals, I recently had to go out and buy raincoats and wellies… er, I mean Splats!!! Have you heard of them yet?
