Earlier this summer Austin-based photographer Emily Blincoe created this comprehensive series of various candy organized by color called her Sugar Series. Such a great mix of common and nostalgic sweets. And … white underpants on a stick. You can see these and many additional objects organized by shape or color in her Colors Organized Neatly set on Flickr. You can also follow her adventures over on Instagram.

The Bizarre Street Art of Daan Botlek
Street artist and illustrator Daan Botlek is based in Rotterdam, Netherlands and is known for his strange form of character-driven street art. His generally simplistic, site-specific figures often interact with the space around them, passing in and out of unseen dimensions, shedding skin in the process. Kind of like morbid Keith Haring, no? You can see much more of his work over on Flickr. (via Lustik)
Monday's pets on furniture
If you'd like to send me photos to include in next week's "pets on furniture" post, please ensure your photos follow my basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off...and your pet happens to be sitting on it. And second, if the photo is too dark or unfocused then it may not make the cut. Photos, your name, location and a brief description can be sent to desiretoinspirekim@hotmail.com and PLEASE don't send closeups of your pet! Thanks!

That is Ozzie chillin' on the bed. He is always up for stealing the scene.

Here is a photo of my dog Uni, 6 years old miniature poodle, and Noli, 2 years old American Short Hair on our IKEA sofa napping together on a lazy Sunday afternoon while my son, 9 months old Miles is trying to wake them. Noli is my mother in law’s cat who was rescued from a kill shelter. She vacations with us while my mother in law is traveling. We put out toys and cat beds for her to make her feel like home, but she seems to be fond of the Geometric D cushion by Vitra only! She had eyes on it the first moment she came in and calls it her own during her 10 days stay.

This is our 4 month old French bulldog Teal sitting on her favorite chair..she likes to look out the window and growl at the squirrels for stealing her acorns.
- Gina (Martha's Vineyard, MA)
This is my icelandic sheepdog Skima. I sent you a picture of her on my mums beautiful red and white striped Ekerö sofa a few months back. I have since then moved into my first own flat and here Skima is in her new favourite place - on a golden sofa I got from my godmothers childhood home. This baby survived 50 years, is surprisingly comfortable and has the original fabric. I love it to death! (and to the right you can see one of the matching chairs I got with it).

this photo is of my two cats, Mei (black and white) and Misso (red cat) on the cream couch. They love to scratch their nails on it ):

If you'd like to check out a couple of photos of one member of my herd that I took Saturday, check out this post on my page. And a big thanks to Helen for sending me this link. Prepare to laugh out loud.
