Get something you’re really sure about,i got my first one just bc i liked it and i wanted to be all cooooool and stuff so i rushed and now im not too hot on it,not saying i regret it but it’s kinda boring to me now
Get enough sleep and make sure to eat before your appointment,once the adrenaline kicks in you wont feel much of the pain but it will drain you quite quickly and it’s good to have a snack on you,something like fruit or a granola bar,to get your blood sugar up and keep you from fainting

it’s all depends on the size of the tattoo and how long it will take for it to be finished but even if it’s a small one it’s good to have something on you to eat afterwards bc you might feel a little lightheaded
Dont let it get dry,avoid the feeling of it being tight,if it does put some cream on it.
I wash mine two times a day ( sometimes 3,it depends but you’ll see for yourself) with mild soap,pat it dry and then put the cream on gently and let it get some air,reapply the cream when needed,wrap it up if im going somewhere so my clothes dont stick to it etc.
it’s important to keep it wrapped during the night bc it will stick to your clothes and you might end up ripping out bits of it by accident which will result in patches
and dont pick the flakes or scratch them off!!
it will itch like hell once it starts to heal and you will want to scratch it like mad but dont,instead slap it a couple of times and the itch will go away
It’s not recommended to take baths after getting a new tattoo,also no pools,lakes and stuff like that
the sun block is your friend! it will prevent your tattoo from fading and getting sun burnt/damaged
take an aspirin after getting tattooed it will help the swelling go down and it wont hurt as much
