Perfectly Pack T-Shirts with the Six-Inch Military Roll
Rolling your t-shirts makes them space-efficient and prevents wrinkles when you are packing, and there’s no better way to fold them than a military roll. What you get is a tight wad like a burrito, but it’s a little difficult to master.
Turn Any Fruit Juice Into Homemade Alcohol

Home brewing is a great hobby, but can take a lot of ingredients, specialized equipment and the knowledge to put them together to make something that doesn’t taste like it was fermented in a toilet. Want something a little simpler? You can actually turn any fruit juice into alcohol with nothing but a cheap plastic airlock and a bag of champagne yeast.

Dear J.J. Abrams, An Animated Fan Petition With Four Rules the New ‘Star Wars’ Films Should Follow
Sincerely Truman has released a beautifully animated video that presents “4 Rules to Make Star Wars Great Again.” The video asks director J.J. Abrams and the team behind the upcoming Star Wars films to remember: the setting is the frontier, the future is old, the Force is mysterious, and Star Wars isn’t cute. If the online petition hits one million signatures, the group plans to visit Disney headquarters in Burbank to hand-deliver the petition and a copy of the animation.

Map Showing the Exact Geographic Center of Every State in the U.S.
Motherboard reporter Dan Stuckey created a map that shows the geographic centers of every single state in the United States. You can explore the interactive map on Google Maps.
These spots may be abstract, and solely the musings of geographers. And you can argue all you want that centralization in geography is a thing of the past. Of course, these points have nothing to do with people. Rather, they’re just the most central locations of each state’s geographical boundary. (However, the population center of West Virginia, did at one point in 1860, overlap the geographical center.) Regardless of the scholarly value, I’d argue that these locations are pleasing to the mind, if not downright interesting to think about for a variety of reasons:

Remember Lucas Duplan, the Stanford dropout who grabbed a $25 million investment for an app he won't tell anyone about? He still won't explain what "Clinkle" does, or when it will come out, but that didn't stop him from making this insanely pretentious promotional video.

The Imaginative Box Art of Retro 8-Bit Atari Video Games
Andrew Webster, a reporter for The Verge, wrote an interactive article about the imaginative box art of retro 8-bit Atari video games and how the artwork transformed games into “virtual wonderlands.” The games were very basic 8-bit worlds on the Atari consoles, but when the cartridge and box had beautifully detailed artwork, it gave the consumers a general understanding of what the game was about before they even started playing. You can read more on The Verge.
Some artists, like Steve Hendricks, would actually interview the programmers and designers working on the games to get a better feel for what they were about. But Atari also gave them a good amount of freedom to do what they wanted, which could be one of the reasons the company ended up with such a fantastic collection of box art for its console. “It was really nice to work with them because they were pretty open about what it was that I could do,” says Jaekel. “As I recall, I don’t know that they really gave me much direction. They just would tell me what the game was about, sort of loosely, and it was up to me to come up with a concept.”
