The Atlantic Wire has posted a series of graphs comparing the popularity of various brands of Halloween candy between 2008 and 2012. The data is based on how many times each candy is mentioned on Twitter during the period immediately after Halloween. The Atlantic Wire reports that popularity on Twitter is, not surprisingly, closely tied to sales—top sellers Reese’s and Snickers lead the way. They also looked at which candies were most popular over the two weeks following Halloween, during which M&M’s and lollipops surge in popularity.

The Air Jordan 3 first hit the scene back in 1988, worn on His Airness’ feet as he ran his fourth NBA season. With the obvious influence of Nike’s own Tinker Hatfield present in the elephant print around the toe and heel and the first appearance of visible Air units, the silhouette was so far ahead of its time that it is still dominating the game today. The latest evidence comes in the form of this Powder Blue Jordan 3, which is queuing up to be the first launch from the Jordan Brand in 2014. With a nod toward Jordan’s alma mater combined with hits of black on the tongue, laces, and the heel, the drop offers a strong case for you to cop. The Air Jordan 3 ‘Powder Blue’ drops Saturday, January 18 for $170 at nike.com and at select retailers, including Eastbay, Foot Locker, Footaction, Champs Sports and other Jordan retailers.
Release Date: January 18, 2014 (Saturday)
