The first trailer for Lazarus has been released.
Lazarus is an upcoming Prime Video television show that is written and executive produced by popular mystery novel author Harlan Coben. The show will be available to watch on the streaming platform next month.

What happens in the Lazarus trailer?
The Lazarus trailer previews a twisted thriller that sees The Hunger Games’ Sam Claflin play a character named Joel who “returns home after his father Dr. Jonathan Lazarus (Bill Nighy) dies by suicide and begins to have disturbing experiences that can’t be explained.” The synopsis continues, “He quickly becomes entangled in a series of cold-case murders as he grapples with the mystery of his father’s death and his sister’s murder 25 years ago.”
The show’s cast further includes Alexandra Roach as Jenna Lazarus, David Fynn as Seth McGovern, Karla Crome as Bella Catton, and Kate Ashfield as Detective Alison Brown.
Danny Brocklehurst wrote Lazarus with Coben. Both of them also serve as executive producers alongside Nicola Shindler and Richard Fee for Quay Street Productions, Claflin, and Wayne Che Yip, the latter of whom additionally directs the first two episodes. Matt Stevens serves as a producer.
A number of Coben’s novels have been adapted into television series in the past, including 2016’s The Five, 2020’s The Stranger, 2021’s The Innocent, 2024’s Fool Me Once, 2025’s Just One Look, and more.
In addition to playing Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games, Claflin is known for playing Sir Oswald Mosley in Peaky Blinders. His filmography further includes 2011’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, 2012’s Snow White and the Huntsman, 2016’s Me Before You, 2018’s The Nightingale, 2020’s Enola Holmes, 2021’s Last Night in Soho, and 2024’s Bagman, among other titles.
All six episodes of Lazarus will be available to stream on Prime Video on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
