Breeze somehow lost his mother when he was only a few days old. While the Mare and Foal Sanctuary of Devon County, England was able to help nurse him back to health, they still couldn't provide the warmth and comfort Breeze's mother would ordinarily offer to the colt. They could, however, provide him with a teddy bear that he could cuddle with -and the replacement works. Little Breeze now cuddles up with his bear friend every night before bed.

This is Zabu, a white tiger with an apparent fixation on a giant red ball. On this fine Friday, Zabu is probably pushing, swatting, biting, or defecating (animals do weird things) on her favorite ball, much to the disgust of the lion who has to watch all of these antics from a frustratingly far distance. Why can’t the lion get a turn with the ball? Is it because Zabu is a lady tiger? The MRAs should really get on this reverse big cat sexism — it’s an absolute travesty is what it is.

May 26th, Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club held its election day. A day filled with food, friends and festivities (like any other day in NOLA)  members of the club (Zulu isn’t a krewe)  voted for the king and characters for Mardi Gras 2014.
