Vasárnap estig legalább hat embernél, orvosoknál, klinikai munkatársaknál mutatták ki a koronavírust azok közül, akik feltételezhetően kontaktust létesítettek Rovó Lászlóval – írja a Magyar Hang.
A portál úgy értesült, hogy a vírust többek között az SZTE egyik rektorhelyettesénél és a Szent-Györgyi Albert Klinikai Központ Idegsebészeti klinikájának egyik orvosánál is kimutatták.
Több egymástól független forrásra hivatkozva azt írják, hogy Rovó László koronavírusos megbetegedése miatt legalább 9 aneszteziológus, több fül-orr-gégész, szakápoló és műtős is karanténba kényszerült, így tünetek nélkül is legalább két hétig kiesnek a munkából.
„Információink szerint az SZTE Klinikai Központjában alap esetben 85 aneszteziológus dolgozik, azaz az egyetem rektora miatt kialakult helyzetben ez a szakterület a legszerencsésebb esetben is minimum két hétre megtizedelődik” – írják.
A Magyar Hang értesülései szerint az idegsebészeti klinika munkatársa Rovó Lászlóval közösen ment síelni Dél-Tirolba, de a rektorral ellentétben ő hazatérése után egyből karanténba vonult.
Tegnap írtuk meg, hogy B. Nagy László önkéntes házi karantént vállalt, miután március 13-án együtt koszorúzott Rovó Lászlóval, a szegedi egyetemi rektorával, akiről kiderült, hogy elkapta a koronavírust. B. Nagy eddig bírta.
Rovó László, a szegedi egyetem rektora volt az az orvos, akiről először az RTL Klub adott hírt, miszerint annak ellenére felvette a munkát, hogy olyan helyről érkezett külfölről haza, ahol már többen megfertőzödtek a koronavírussal.
„Értesüléseink szerint Rovó Lászlót (...), csak jóval azt követően vetették alá vizsgálatoknak, hogy produkálta a koronavírus tüneteit. Forrásaink közölték azt is, hogy a professzor óvatlansága miatt a Rektori Hivatal munkatársainak karanténba kell vonulniuk” - írja a Magyar Hang, amely elsőként írta meg, hogy az a bizonyos fertőzött szegedi orvos a Szegedi Tudományegyetem rektora, Dr. Habil. Rovó László Ph.D.
Mint a lap írja, a rektor gondatlansága miatt a rektori hivatal munkatársainak karanténba kell vonulnia, és mivel Rovó a Fül-Orr-Gégészeti és Fej-Nyaksebészeti Klinika igazgatója is, a klinika dolgozóit is meg kell vizsgálni.
Rovó óvatlansága azért is megdöbbentő, mert a két állása mellett ő vezeti az egyetemi Coronavirus Ügyi Operatív Bizottságot is. Rovó nemcsak orvosként, de politikailag is igen aktív, a tavalyi választások előtt ő volt az, aki a helyi fideszes jelölt mellett kampányolt miután megtiltotta az egyetem dolgozóinak, hogy politikailag megnyilvánuljanak az 2019-es kampányban. Netflix and YouTube are both reducing video-streaming quality in Europe to reduce the stress on residential broadband networks caused by the coronavirus pandemic forcing people to stay home.
Netflix is reducing the bit rate on video streams, but not the resolution, for the next 30 days in the EU and UK, the BBC reported. The BBC said that "movies will still be high-definition or ultra-high definition 4K" despite the bit-rate decrease, but other news sources suggest that resolution could be cut, too. It's not clear what the exact changes in bit rates are—we asked Netflix to clarify these points but haven't gotten an answer yet.
After discussions with a European government official who called for lowered video quality, "Netflix has decided to begin reducing bit rates across all our streams in Europe for 30 days," Netflix said in a statement quoted by The Verge. "We estimate that this will reduce Netflix traffic on European networks by around 25 percent while also ensuring a good quality service for our members."

BlackBerry is quitting the phone business—again. You might recall BlackBerry quit manufacturing smartphones back in 2016, but it licensed its brand name to the Chinese smartphone corporation TCL. TCL started pumping out BlackBerry-branded devices—some of which were QWERTY equipped and some of which were shameless rebadgings of existing TCL phones. TCL's Zombie BlackBerry plan apparently wasn't working too well, though, since now that's dead, too.
Today, BlackBerry Mobile posted what amounts to an amicable breakup note on Twitter, saying that TCL's license to the BlackBerry brand would expire August 31, 2020, at which point the two companies would go their separate ways. Once the agreement expires, TCL will have "no further rights to design, manufacture, or sell any new BlackBerry mobile devices," though the company would still be on the hook for supporting existing devices until August 31, 2022. With no other manufacturers lined up, it sounds like BlackBerry-branded phones will be dead for good.

Interest in the continued spread of the coronavirus has had an unintended side effect for UK-based Ndemic Creations, makers of Plague Inc. The eight-year-old game—which asks players to shepherd a worldwide pandemic so it can destroy all of humanity—has seen a spike in popularity in recent weeks, becoming the most-downloaded iPhone app in China on January 21 and in the United State on January 23, according to tracking firm App Annie.
The surge in interest has led Ndemic to issue a statement urging players not to rely on the app for information on staying safe from the coronavirus' current spread. "Please remember that Plague Inc. is a game, not a scientific model and that the currentcoronavirus outbreak is a very real situation which is impacting a huge number of people," the statement reads, in part. "We would always recommend that players get their information directly from local and global health authorities."
At the same time, Ndemic notes that Plague Inc. was "specifically designed... to be realistic and informative, while not sensationalising serious real-world issues." The company points to a 2013 CDC interview which highlights the online research that went into the game, as well as its use as "an educational tool—teachers and professors often get in touch to let me know how they used Plague Inc. to illustrate biological and economical concepts to their students."
Royal Mail has unveiled a set of 12 special stamps that celebrate iconic British video games from the 1980s and 1990s. The collection is designed to highlight some of the most popular games from an era when the UK games industry was growing into a multi billion dollar business. Classics like Worms, Lemmings, Wipeout, Tomb Raider, and Sensible Soccer are all part of the stamp collection which will go on sale later this month.
Tomb Raider has four stamps in the collection in total, charting Lara Croft’s adventures throughout the years. A variety of game consoles are represented in the collection, with some of the titles debuting on systems like the BBC Micro, ZX Spectrum, Commodore Amiga, and the Sega Mega Drive.

Pedig itt a végeken kellene a leghangosabbnak lenni, ugyanis itt vannak a klímaváltozásnak a legszembetűnőbb jelei. Én úgy gondolom, hogy a klímaváltozás és annak hatása már nem kopogtat a Körösök partján , hanem berúgta az ajtót.

A felújítás még bőven tart, a belső terek rekonstrukciója és az oldalsó, illetve a hátsó homlokzat megújítása még várat magára, de elölről már csodálható az épület, melynek eredeti színét úgy állapították meg, hogy addig vésték a falat, mígnem előbukkant a legalsóbb festékréteg.
