Maybe SimCity’s Balance-Breaking Ad DLC Isn’t All Bad

by Nathan Grayson

I did not, however, say it isn't mostly bad.

Good news! SimCity‘s gotten a potentially substantial piece of DLC, and it’s totally free. Bad news! It’s a gigantic ad for car company Nissan. Worse news! Its in-game functionality seems to make your city planning decisions even less consequential than before, which is quite a feat. Worst news! SimCity isn’t a very good game at all, even with its online issues mostly cleared up. Contrary opinion! This is one seemingly asinine move I think we should only partially leap down EA’s throat for. So maybe, like, just put in one leg. And do it kind of gently. Avoid the teeth, if you can.

Logitech K400 Keyboard $24 at Bing Lee $22.80 at Officeworks

Logitech K400 Keyboard $24 at Bing Lee $22.80 at Officeworks

Bought the keyboard from this deal here where noobkiller69 posted lately the $24 from Bing Lee (credit to him) http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/97207

I went back to OW and ask them to price match again and refunded the difference for me.

(No stock online but if you put in your postal code you will see stock in most place)

I also tried put it difference post code like 8000 still said in stock, so not only Sydney but may be NSW only but some said OW will match it even no Bing Lee there.

SimSettlement: Banished Is About Survival And Life

by Nathan Grayson

I'm going to name my settlement 'Arsonist's Paradise'.

I love being alive right now. Admittedly, there are many reasons for that – getting to see humanity clumsily barge its way into a new stage of evolution, being able to have pancakes pretty much whenever I want them, etc – but mostly because I get blindsided by amazing-looking new games on a nigh-daily basis. Banished, like so many others, has crept seemingly out of nowhere, set up a nice little settlement on the crisp loam of YourTubules, and proceeded to look utterly brilliant. In short, it’s a small scale city builder, but that doesn’t really do it justice. Money, you see, has no sway when starvation, disease, and the elements are the ones you’re bargaining with. People are precious, and Banished is a game about cherishing every last one you’ve got.

Apple: Music Prices Not Our Fault, And Please Don’t Compare Us To Woolworths

by Angus Kidman
Apple is the first big name off the rank to appear before the IT pricing inquiry in Federal Parliament today. Apple’s local MD Tony King blames the pricing difference on what Apple gets charged by record companies, but he’s not comfortable with acknowledging Apple’s dominant role in music and doesn’t seem to want to do anything about it.
