Happiness is this video of a dog running towards the sea

Meet Walter, a happy labrador that enjoys a good run before diving in the refreshing waters of Siracusa—in gorgeous Sicily. His owner obviously knows that and he strapped a Go Pro on his back so we all can share Walter's joy for life.
This Artist Has Turned Rice Krispie Treats into an Art Form

Jessica Siskin, an artist in New York City, creates Rice Krispie treats that will make you pause and stare in wonder before gobbling them up. They're not just desserts, but works of art. From her studio dubbed "Mister Krisp," she takes custom orders, making special treats for birthdays and other celebrations.
My suggestion: a 1:1 scale sculpture of Clayton Rindlisbacher, the inventor of Rice Krispies.

Watch the Amish build an entire barn in less than 10 hours

You put a group of people together and give them a common goal and magic can happen. Even if that magic, in this case, is just building a barn. It's hypnotic to see the organization in this, like seeing a bunch of worker ants swarm together with one mind.
Segregated schools, still
D Git's so BAD being white
fuck this "data"

The map above by MetroTrends shows the percent of white kids who attended majority-white schools during the 2011-12 school year. Schools are still segregated in many areas of the country.
From Reed Jordan for MetroTrends:
The separation of races is most clearly seen in large metropolitan counties that hold the bulk of a state’s population and most of its students of color. For example, in Chicago (Cook County), the overall student population is about 25 percent white, 31 percent black, and 37 percent Latino, but 96 percent of black students attend majority non-white schools and 67 percent of white students attend majority white schools. In other words, white students tend to attend schools with other white students and black and Latino students attend schools with other students of color.
Estimates are from the National Center for Education Statistics. [via @datatelling]

German Boars Are Too Radioactive To Eat
In Germany, boar meat is considered a delicacy, consumed in various forms such as salami and boar leg. But now, German restaurant-goers may want to rethink ordering boar the next time they dine out (and it’s not because of boar taint).
According to the Telegraph, recent testing in the state of Saxony has revealed that more than one-in-three wild boar in Germany are so radioactive that they're considered unfit for human consumption. Boar carcasses are not supposed to exceed radiation levels of 600 becquerels per kilogram, but in the past year, 297 out of 752 boar tested in Saxony have su this safe amount. Some boars have even tested dozens of times over.
The illuminating trend is thought to be a lingering effect of the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, one of the worst nuclear power plant accidents in history. More than 28 years ago, a reactor exploded at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Soviet-run Ukraine, releasing radioactive particles into the atmosphere. The contamination was so widespread that experts have estimated between 4,000 and 93,000 extra cancer deaths have occurred as a result of Chernobyl, though the actual tally may never be known.
Saxony is approximately 700 miles away from the Chernobyl site, but various weather conditions helped the radioactive particles spread far into Western Europe, contaminating much of the ground soil. And, since wild boar dig through soil for food, they are particularly affected by this contamination. They also eat underground mushrooms and deer truffles, which are known to store radiation.
Apparently, researchers have been cataloguing this pattern of boar radioactivity for some time, and they don’t believe it’ll go away any time soon. Experts predict it may be another 50 years before boar radiation levels return to normal, the Telegraph notes.
In the meantime, Germans should keep an eye out for any boars exhibiting super powers.
Apple Suppliers' Stocks Got Hammered By A Negative Analyst (AAPL)

Apple's suppliers are the latest casualty of an analyst note advising investors to ditch their Apple shares before the iPhone 6 comes out on September 9.
Pacific Crest analyst Andy Hargraves triggered an Apple selloff this morning, causing the stock to dip below $100 for the first time in about two weeks.
Here's what Hargraves had to say about Apple in his note:
"We recommend investors begin to take profits in AAPL. We are maintaining our Outperform rating until we see detail on new products and services at Apple's Sept. 9 event. However, if the announced products and services do not suggest massive incremental profit opportunities, we are likely to downgrade our rating for AAPL."
That has turned out to be bad news for Apple's suppliers, like GT Advanced Technologies (GTAT), which makes the Sapphire glass rumored to be on the iPhone 6. GTAT was down nearly 5.5% when markets closed on Wednesday.
It's not just GTAT that took a hit Wednesday. TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc., (TQNT) another Apple contractor, was down sharply as well:

As The Street points out, Skyworks Solutions, Cirrus Logic, and RF Micro devices — all Apple suppliers — were also down on Wednesday.

Mega64's take on Gauntlet is only something they could do
Here's Mega64 taking on Gauntlet, with Rocco and others acting as the "world's biggest Gauntlet fans" demonstrating their love for the game and all it entails. Hilarity ensues, but that's to be expected.
I don't know if this tops "Chin Down, Eyes Up," but it pretty much nails the awkward stage presence I'd have if I ever chose to make videos like these.
