Charlie and the Chocolate Factory's dark lost chapter
None!If you remember Augustus Gloop, Veruca Salt and Willy Wonka, and of course our hero, Charlie Bucket from "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," then I have some good news for you.
No, not a golden ticket. A lost chapter of Roald Dahl's classic book has been published by the English paper The Guardian.
In the lost chapter, the children go into the chocolate factory's vanilla fudge room and its rather violent cutting and pounding room. Not all the kids make it out.
You can also catch glimpses of some early character sketches and Dahl's trademark dark humor.
The paper says it was deemed too wild and subversive 50 years ago.

Tip of the Iguana
Photograph by Lorenzo Mittiga, National Geographic Your Shot
Not quite as threatening as some sea monsters, a spiny-backed iguana floats by photographer Lorenzo Mittiga in the Bonaire Caves of the Dutch Caribbean.
"There I was, fully equipped with my camera, its underwater housing, and a wide-angle lens, preparing for the final setting of the sun, when a friend interrupted my solitude," writes Mittiga, a member of our Your Shot community. He had dived into the water above my head and was swimming around the entrance of the cave, as if to say 'hello' to me.
Mittigas picture recently appeared in Your Shot's Daily Dozen.

A Grand Flyover
Photograph by Jassen T., National Geographic Your Shot
Sunrise at Yellowstone National Park finds steam rising from the surface of the Grand Prismatic Spring, the parks largest hot spring. Your Shot member Jassen T. overcame high winds and turbulence to capture the view while piloting a plane at 11,000 feet. This incredible place is not only remote, but flying over high terrain is dangerous, he writes. Trying to get the right angle without people on the walkway while trying to maintain the right altitude and attitude also made things complicated. While flying, I remember thinking to myself that I didn't want to leave. There are just not enough words to describe magic.
