Via l’onde sonore du sound system, Say Watt ? guide le visiteur de ses débuts jamaïcains jusqu’à ses extrapolations dans l’art contemporain, en passant par ses contributions à la culture Do It yourself.

À travers une sélection exceptionnelle de plus d’une centaine d’œuvres majeures, le Centre pompidou présente la première rétrospective complète de l’œuvre de Roy Lichtenstein en France. Cette exposition invite le visiteur à poser un nouveau regard sur cette figure emblématique du pop art américain en allant, précisément, « au-delà du pop ».

The first thing that comes to mind when seeing the ‘Citybook’- Collection is honeycombs. Honeycombs shaped like small houses. It is designed by MR. LESS & MRS. MORE consisting of Antonella Di Luca and Ubaldo Righ that was founded in 2012. ‘Citybook’ is a modular bookcase suitable for any space, a new creation based on the ‘Housebook’. Each module is linked to another by small magnets enabling you to create your very own shelf. You can stack and arrange them anywhere to your taste by customising their quantity or deciding on among the proposed compositions. You can hang them high or low, under your sink in the bathroom or in your living room. Simply anywhere you like.

Metropolis is a silent science fiction film directed by Fritz Lang and written by Lang and Thea von Harbou. Lang and von Harbou, who were married, wrote the screenplay in 1924, and the story was novelized by von Harbou in 1926. It is set in a futuristic urban dystopia and examines a common science fiction theme of the day: the social crisis between workers and owners in capitalism. The film stars Alfred Abel as the leader of the city, Gustav Frauhlich as his son, who tries to mediate between the elite caste and the workers, Brigitte Helm as both the pure-at-heart worker Maria and the debased robot version of her, and Rudolf Klein-Rogge as the mad scientist who created the robot.Metropolis was produced in Germany in the Babelsberg Studios by Universum Film A.G. (UFA) and released in 1927 during a stable period of the Weimar Republic. The most expensive film of its time, it cost approximately 7 million Reichsmark to make. The film was cut substantially after its German premiere, and there have been several efforts to restore it. Also, the American copyright lapsed in 1953, which eventually led to a proliferation of versions being released on video.

Invitée dès 2010 à mener une recherche sur le territoire d’Ivry-sur-Seine, Lara Almarcegui s’est orientée sur la réalité souterraine de la ville. L’exposition rassemble ainsi une sélection de projets de l’artiste autour d’une nouvelle publication intitulée Ivry souterrain.
Yanyan Huang's brushstrokes are carefree, lively and effortlessly beautiful. Feather-like twists and turns, her paintings and sculptures take you on a free falling ride. Huang works in a span of creative mediums, paintings, drawings, ceramics, books and dresses. They all piece together to tell her stories. Huang spends her time between Florence, Italy and California.
