Hello! It brings me great pleasure to announce that the renaming competition for Stealth B**stard, our wonderfully nefarious stealth-puzzle-platformer, was a complete success! Rather than picking just one of our favorite entries, we’ve chosen two and fused them together to create one ultimate, unified gaming title:

Stealth Inc. – A Clone in the Dark!

It’s with this we’d like to congratulate Ash Baker for ‘Stealth Inc.’ (and for the other 250 entries submitted thereafter) and Ben Collins for ‘A Clone in the Dark’. You will both be awarded a PS Vita, a copy of Stealth Inc. – A Clone in the Dark when it’s released and you will both appear in the credits of the game! You are both stars and we are eternally grateful to you both for coming up with a clean name that our coarse minds were incapable of formulating!

If you yourself entered one of the above ideas for a game title but are not listed as a winner, this is because we had to accept winning entries on a first come, first serve basis… we simply do not have that many PS Vitas to give away! Holy butts! The Legend of Zelda 3DS

It’s not a remake for a Link to the Past — it’s a new game set in the SNES classic’s world, releasing this holiday season! It will feature new dungeons and an original storyline.

The new title looks to “”reinvigorate the flat 2D world of A Link to the Past with a sense of height and volume,” making it easier to differentiate levels and adding a new puzzle-solving mechanic. Link can also now become a drawing and move within walls, changing the game’s perspective and allowing you to see previously hidden connections to solve puzzles.

Dive was raised in West Philadelphia with his fraternal twin brother, Kick. When trouble brewed at their local park, the boys’ mother sent them to live with their Uncle Sensei in Bel Air to learn how to Divekick. Dive strives to perfect the art of diving into the air, using his love of math to ensure that he is always at an angle that will lead him to victory. His massive study sessions and dedication to his schoolwork have left him with less time to focus on his kicking, however.

Unable to afford fees for the following year, Sensei was forced into retirement. Mr. N can usually be found riding to coattails of his best friend, upcoming Divekick superstar Dustin Weinburger, and is usually behind any sort of foul play that may occur at a tournament. Mr. N owes the mob a lot of money, and is constantly on the run.

She dons a mask and builds powerful iron boots to allow her to compete in Divekicking competitions, in an effort to get closer to the people she’d need to study to find the cure.

Shortly after, his 10 year winstreak helped to explode the sport’s popularity, but his inability to manage his finances left him broke and in early retirement after a mysterious disqualification. He now spends his days trying to earn what he can training Divekicking students at his Dojo, and doing his best to take care of his beloved nephews, Dive and Kick.

He means well, however, and will continue to compete in order to get more people to buy badges for the next JEO event.

Futurama is no stranger to being cancelled, and it unfortunately looks like the axe has fallen yet again — Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Comedy Central has declined to renew the show, making the seventh season the last go for the Planet Express crew (note: link contains season seven spoilers). While the show has a loyal and devoted fanbase, it also has had more ups and downs than most programs experience since its debut on Fox way back in 1999. Futurama was the victim of erratic scheduling until the plug was finally pulled (for the first time) in 2003.

This is footage from an unreleased Mega Man FPS game codenamed "Maverick Hunter." It was cancelled upon the departure of Keiji Inafune. At the time of cancellation it was at a very playable stage.

"Inspired by Anita Sarkeesian's Video Game Tropes vs Women, Clockwork Empire is set 2,000 years after Twilight Princess, and is not a reboot, but simply another iteration in the Zelda franchise. This concept work is meant to show that Zelda as a game protagonist can be both compelling and true to the franchise."

First look at Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate

I’m glad it didn’t take long to get some screenshots for this 3DS/PS Vita project from Armature Studio. It looks just like how I’d expect a Metroidvania-style Batman game developed by Metroid Prime veterans to look — it’s also a bit Shadow Complex-y, which I’m fine with because I always wanted that title on a handheld.

Game Informer’s current issue (subscription required) has more images and all the details, but here are the basics:

• set in the eponymous Blackgate Penitentiary during a prison riot
• mostly a 2D sidescroller, though you’ll interact with foreground/background elements
• freeflow combat system similar to console games (possibly Shinobi 3D/Spyro: The Eternal Night-esque?)
• scanner-style “detective mode” that pops up an overlay outlining enemies who see or can’t see you, uncovering clues/secrets, and analyzing dangerous situations (remember the first few pages of the “Hush” arc?)
• potential for Metroid-style sequence breaking and fighting bosses in any order

Haven’t heard a single bad thing about this game yet, but we’re a long way from October.

BUY Various Batman games, upcoming releases

I’m a huge fan of Skipmore. So when I saw that they released one of their more popular titles, Fairune, in English for the Android and iOS I was very excited. When I saw that it was available for free, I instantly downloaded it.

If you like classic JRPGs and adventure titles like The Legend of Zelda then you’re going to like this game. And if you don’t have a smartphone that supports this game or access to one at the moment, there’s a free flash version of the original Fairune available online to play.

However you play it, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
