Twinkiritos Combine the Best of Chinese and American Cuisine

The chef behind the food blog Oh, Bite It! thinks that these confections "might be my all-time craziest, mind-blowing mash up EVER!" They're brilliant! She took Twinkies, wrapped them in spring roll pastry sheets, then deep fried them. A bit off powdered sugar added to the visual appeal and texture. May I suggest dipping them in Nutella?

Woman Who Can Literally FLIP Her Butt Implants Goes On Botched
I don't know what it is about Botched that keeps me watching, but I walked in on my partner gasping at it one morning and I've been sucked in. This story may be their most extreme. And no, it's not for the squeamish.
Nightmare Playgrounds

This creature is in a sculpture garden for kids in Starokonstantinov, Ukraine. It’s part of an epic three-part series at Dark Roasted Blend on nightmarish playgrounds with weird structures from around the world that could traumatize children -or inspire them to grow up and write bestselling horror stories! Some of the pictures show outdated or damaged statues and structures, some are supposed to be “art,” and many were just intentionally designed to scare children. Some of them are charming in their own gruesome way. There are also pictures of sculptures that aren’t in playgrounds, but fit into the theme of “weird” quite well.

Scientific Research Suggests Plants Can Hear Themselves Being Eaten

(Image Via Roger Meissen)
Many vegetarians/vegans feel that raising animals for food is an inhumane and barbaric practice, yet they gladly chomp down on fresh fruits and vegetables without a care in the world for what those plants are feeling:
Okay, so maybe saying a plant has feelings is a bit of an overstatement, but a new report from the University of Missouri-Columbia has revealed that plants respond to the sound of a caterpillar chewing on them by going into combat mode and releasing chemical agents meant to protect them from harm:
In the study, the researchers put caterpillars on Arabidopsis, a small, cabbage-like plant, and pointed a laser at a reflective section of the plant's surface. That way, they were able to measure the different ways the plant moved in response to a chewing caterpillar. Then, the scientists removed the caterpillar from the equation entirely and only played back recordings they'd made of the crunching caterpillar's vibrations. For another plant, they played back only silence.
After placing live caterpillars back on both sets of plants, the researchers found that the set that had been exposed to the caterpillar's feeding sounds produced more mustard oil, a chemical that's meant to fend off hungry critters.
These findings suggest that plants exhibit self preservation instincts, considered one of the basic instincts found in humans and animals that suggests they "feel" themselves being consumed by a caterpillar.
Will these new findings challenge the vegan argument that meat consumption is bad because "They can all feel pain, fear and happiness", or will they stop eating plants when we discover that plants have feelings too?

Ali Kat's Custom Guitars Look Like Classic Cars Because They're Made from Classic Car Parts

This guitar looks like the tail of a 1959 Cadillac. That's because Dave Gartland, the custom guitar builder also known as Ali Kat, made it using Cadillac parts. It even has working tail lights!
Gartland makes a wide array of guitars, but it's his car guitars that have made him famous in the rockabilly culture.

Do you fancy the classic style of a 1957 Chevy Bel Air?

How about a mid-1950s Holdren Special? That's a car company in Australia, where Gartland lives and works.

Gartland also makes motorcycle guitars, including modern bikes. Although this looks like the rear end of a Ducati racing bike, it's a functional guitar on a custom guitar stand.

The Batmobile from the 1966 Batman series was a modified 1955 Lincoln Futura. Gartland's guitar version captures the shape and forms perfectly.
It plays well, too. Here's Chris Finnen using it to perform the theme song of the classic Batman show.

This Woman Really Captures The Personality Of All Twelve Zodiac Signs

The pick-up line “what’s your sign?” may have gone out of style in the 70s, along with the Pet Rock and macramé wall art, but people still groove on the zodiac as a happenin' way to get some guidance about which long, strange trip to go on, and where that wavy gravy road will lead.
Debra Silverman is an astrological professional who offers zodiac related advice, like when you should dig everything and everyone or when to stay inside because your bad moon is rising.
Debra also happens to be a psychotherapist, so she's able to provide even more insight into the minds of the twelve different personality types. Apparently she's also an actress, and as you'll see in these videos she can bust out a zodiac personality type like nobody's business!
Personally, I'm a Gemini, and her performance of my Zodiac Personality In Action is spot on:

However, I've known plenty of Scorpios, many of my best friends are Scorpios, so I can safely say there's something about this Scorpio Personality In Action that seems a bit off:

What do you totally right on readers think? Was Debra's analysis of your sign mind blowing and like wow, man, or does her astrological chakra need a bit of fine tuning?
Check out all of Debra's totally uncanny personality performances here and see if she captures the zodiac side of you!
Former Disney Animator Is Back With Beautiful Short Film - DUET

Former Disney artist Glen Keane has contributed his incredible skills as an animator to classic features like The Little Mermaid, Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast, and it appears that he hasn’t lost a beat since he left the studio that Mickey Mouse built.
He recently released a hand drawn short film called Duet as part of Google's Advanced Technology and Projects Group, one of three short films "designed to explore the possibilities of interactive animation on mobile devices", meaning you'll be able to explore content in three dimensional space.
Glen's ethereal short celebrates the power of imagination, and the joys of sharing life experiences with someone you love.

archiemcphee: Los Angeles-based artist and baker Christine...

Los Angeles-based artist and baker Christine McConnell (previously featured here) just shared a fantastic selection of truly monstrous baked goods over on Reddit.
Here you see a batch of waffle cones that turned into a nest of ferocious be-tentacled beasties, a terrifyingly realistic facehugger made of sugar cookies (glued together with caramel and glazed with milk, sugar and nutmeg), an adorable chicken pot pie (with beak and feet carved from carrots), a fiery Danzig birthday cake, tarantula cookies prepared like Girl Scout Samoas, and a spectacular birthday cake created for a Voodoo-Bayou themed party. The tongue of the snake atop the cake is a handmade candle.
