Following the end of the TV series this past March, the Buddy Complex website has announced that the anime will continue in the form of a two-part special that will pick up from the TV series. The two part special, known as Buddy Complex Finale: In The Future When We Return To Those Skies, will air this Fall. The Bandai Channel YouTube channel has also been updated with a teaser trailer for the new specials that includes the TV anime rebroadcast announcement, The staff and cast from the TV anime will also return. How many of you watched the hell out of Revolutionary Girl Utena back in the day? Well, with seeing this new prototype of Anthy Himemiya, it's definitely wanting to make me go back and watch it again. It's been several years by now for me. MegaHouse has really been bringing it with series I watched growing up lately, so I'm stoked for Anthy.
I'd love to get Utena to go along with her of course, but we'll see what those Toy Gods say to me. They'll probably say, "Back the hell off your pre-order list!" though I guess I won't know until I ask them. Anyone else out there excited to relive their childhood yet again?

As a long time Cardcaptor Sakura fan, I feel confident in saying it's a pretty good time right now. Not only are we getting the painfully cute Sakura Nendoroid, but NISA recently rescued the show itself from licensing hell, and now we've got a whole array of new merch coming in through the Ichiban Kuji lottery.
Check out all this sweet Sakura-themed loot! We've got mini-figures, card and book replicas, handkerchiefs, charms, notepads and a bunch of other neat looking stuff, including the obligatory giant cuddly Kero. Personally, I've got my eye on that adorable Shaoran, scowl and all. As ever, Ichiban Kuji stuff is only available through the lottery, but keep your eyes on your favourite second-hand store in upcoming months and I imagine you'll be able to snap up some of this stuff pretty easily.

The opening credits of Ghost in the Shell are a stunning visual masterpiece — so when a team of artists decided to create 39 live-action still frames recreating shots from the opening, this was a major undertaking.

It was recently revealed that Ken Amada and the dog Koromaru will be fighting together in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. Some screens have been shared since, but now we can see the Persona 3 pair throwing down in motion thanks to the latest trailer from Atlus.
Atlus also shared a preview of the RPG-like Golden Arena Mode, in which players can level up their fighters, gather social links, learn new skills, and increase individual stats.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax hits PlayStation 3 in Japan on August 28, with a North American release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 to follow this fall.

I’ve been watching people play Watch_Dogs via Twitch.tv and noticed how heroic the main protagonists looks at his cellphone 90% of the time.
Ubisoft is giving us the hero we deserve!
Hope for six seasons and a movie is still alive! Deadline reports that the talks are very preliminary, but both sides are apparently willing. This comes after Dan Harmon walked back earlier comments that he wouldn't bring back the show, saying "I'm not going to be the guy that re-cancels cancelled Community."

Have you watched the new Godzilla movie yet? This year marks the 60th anniversary for the classic Japanese Kaiju movie since its Japanese screen debut in 1954 and the second Hollywood remake will open on July 25th in Japan. Some reactions after the official trailer release found on the Japanese internet expressed concerns for the size of the legendary Kaiju to be too large. Then, a Japanese Twitter user created this size comparison image to ease concerns in a very unexpected way.
Those little dots on left are the Godzillas that graced film screens next to the lovable twins from Sanrio's Little Twin Stars. From left, the original Godzilla (50 meters tall), Godzilla from Godzilla Final Wars in 2004 (100 meters tall), Godzilla from the 2014 Hollywood film (150 meters tall), Mt. Everest (8,840 meters high) and Kiki and Lala from Little Twin Stars at 1,737 kilometers tall each.
The twins from Little Twin Stars shocked the internet last year by revealing their actual size as "About the size of the moon when putting us both together" in their fanbook. Their enormous size and their adorable appearance should surely put Godzilla fans to ease. I guess size doesn't really matter in this case.

Over the years of my figure collecting, Megahouse's Portrait of Pirates line has remained my favorite series of figures. Based off of characters from the immensely popular One Piece, the figures tend to be excellent representations of guys and gals that you love, or at least love to hate.
After tearing through all the heroes, Megahouse started to release P.O.Ps of high-tier antagonists and villains. Of note was the release of Crocodile, the leader of the organized crime organization known as Baroque Works and generally a pretty big jerk. Being my favorite villain, I wanted to nab him during his first release, but financial issues prevented me buying him.
Thanks to a re-release earlier in 2014 and the kind folks at HLJ, I finally have the evil pirate in my hands. How does this repainted re-release compare to modern P.O.P. expectations? Well, you'll have to hit the jump to find out!

The 36th Prize Fair was held in Tokyo earlier today, and Sega came out swinging pretty hard as they unveiled these wonderful looking prize figures of Ryuko Matoi and Satsuki Kiryuin from anime sensation Kill la Kill.
I can't tell you how much I love the look of these. They've got great, iconic poses and it's one of the first cases of Kill la Kill figures embracing the show's slightly more flat, cartoonish style. It works on multiple levels too - by simplifying the design they're able to hide some of the shortcuts you have to take to bring the cost down. That said, prize figures have gotten so good these days I'm not sure there are many shortcuts to begin with. Rest assured we'll be keeping our eyes on these girls.

Ghost in the Shell: Arise prequel anime series continues next month with "border:3 Ghost Tears" hitting Japanese theaters on June 28. Sean Lennon contributes to the end theme "Heart Grenade" with Tatsuhisa Suzuki, Aya Hisakawa and Ai Kayano joining the cast as new characters, and Shunsuke Sakuya assuming the role of Ishikawa following Tomoyuki Dan's passing last year.
