Another anime film is on the way to theaters in North America. This time it's Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions - Take on Me, which Azoland Pictures and Sentai Filmworks will be bringing to select theaters starting November 2.

 

The limited theatrical release follows a January 2018 opening in Japan and last month's North American premiere at the Los Angeles Anime Film Festival in LA. Those who attend screenings will get an exclusive giveaway item with each ticket at participating theaters while supplies last. 

 

Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions - Take on Me will be presented in Japanese with English subtitles. 

 

Synopsis:  

Yuta and Rikka may have finally started to come to terms with the various delusions that have run their lives, but as their relationship becomes progressively more real, their development as a couple seems to be increasingly in danger of stalling out! When your relationship is partially the result of a series of fantasies, what can reality serve up that’s equal to the make-believe? On the release day of the original long novel series' long-awaited 16th volume in Japan, it is announced that the Blu-ray boxes of the first three TV anime adaptations of Hajime Kanzaka's long-running fantasy light novel series Slayers: Slayers (1995), Slayers NEXT (1996), and Slayers TRY (1997), will be released from King Records in Japan for the first time. The Blu-ray box project's official website also opens today with its details.

 

All three box contains four discs and a 24-page all color booklet. The novel illustrator Rui Araizumi newly draws the jacket illustrations for the three boxes. The price for each three is 27,000 yen (about 240 US dollars). The box for the first series is set to be released on December 26, 2018, then that of the second and third series will follow on March 27 and June 26, 2019.

 

For those who can't wait the release, all three series are now available to Crunchyroll members in

United States and Canada.

AI are communicating with each other, but we probably shouldn't be worried. In this case, at least, it means an exciting guest appearance in the Ingress anime.

 

Virtual YouTuber Kizuna Ai posted a collaborative video with ADA, the AI entity from smartphone game turned anime Ingress. The two discuss the series and ADA's role in it. Eventually, since ADA admits she doesn't have much experience as a presenter, Ai briefly swaps bodies with ADA so her senpai can learn how to strike cute poses.

It's also been confirmed that Ai will be appearing in episode 9 of Ingress. This will mark her second anime role, her first being a small appearance in Magical Girl Site.

Ingress is currently streaming worldwide on Netflix, with Kizuna Ai's appearance set to roll out on December 15.

Sega Entertainment announced today that a new collaboration campaign between Hanamaru Kunikida from the Love Live! Sunshine!! franchise and its popular game franchise Sakura Taisen/Sakura Wars will be held at Sega and AG Square's 187 amusement facilities across Japan from October 27 to December 9, 2018. Sakura Wars was chosen from Sega's popular game franchises in the past by the online voting held in March of this year.

 

During the campaign period, all visitors will get one of the two postcards featuring the collaboration visual. And players of the facilities' UFO catcher machines will get clear files (11 types) and rubber straps (9 types) depending on the amount of the money they spend: 500 yen for one clear file, 1,500 yen for one rubber strap. And the UFO catchers will also offer time-limited original prizes as listed below.

Fans of classic Sunrise mecha TV anime and tactical combat board games will soon be able to combine both of those interests with a single board game, because Kokusai Tsushinsha., Ltd is releasing VOTOMS TACTICS, a board game based on the much-beloved 1983 - 1984 TV anime, Armored Trooper VOTOMS.

 

 

The board game features 10 scenarios set in the universe of Armored Trooper VOTOMS, ranging from the urban combat of Uoodo City to the guerilla warfare of the Kummen Jungle to a one-on-one confrontation between Chirico Cuvie and the "perfect soldier", Ypsilon. Most scenarios are designed for 2 players, although there is also a solo scenario and a game mode that can accomodate up to 4 players. Playtime averages between 30 and 90 minutes.

 

 

VOTOMS TACTICS comes in both regular edition and limited edition versions. The regular edition includes 117 cardboard pieces, 48 combat cards, 2 maps, 26 Armored Trooper data sheets, 2 six-sided dice, a 24 page rulebook, and a "Trial Battling" rule card. The special edition includes everything in the regular edition as well as four 3D printed Armored Trooper figures: a Scopedog, a Brutishdog, a Strikedog, and a Fatty.

 

 

The regular edition of VOTOMS TACTICS retails for 4600 yen ($40.99 US) plus tax while the limited edition retails for 8200 yen ($73.08 US) plus tax. VOTOMS TACTICS will be released in Japan on October 25, 2018.

 

 

Armored Trooper VOTOMS is directed by Ryosuke Takahashi and features animation production by Sunrise. The series is currently available via streaming on HIDIVE, who describe the story as follows:

 

Chirico Cuvie, a special forces powered-armor pilot, is on the run from his army through a war-torn galaxy for participating in a top-secret illegal mission to steal military secrets.

Murder-for-hire tastes like salty, oily fish in "Golgo Sardines", a strange (but surprisingly on-brand) collaboration between Golgo 13, Isao Takao's long-running manga about the world's greatest international assassin, and the King Oscar line of sardines in soya bean oil produced by Hagoromo Foods.

 

 

 

The collaboration, which runs from late October 2018 - March 31, 2018, includes three different versions of promotional packing featuring the stern countenance of Duke Togo (aka "Golgo 13") as well as a special three-pack set shaped like a rifle case. Compile Heart and Tezuka Productions are joining forces for a new project: a smartphone game that reimagines Osamu Tezuka's classic characters as cute girls.

 

Titled Eshigami no Kizuna (Bond of the Art Gods), the game will feature girls fashioned after some of the creator's most popular and memorable characters. Announced so far are:

 

Phoenix: CV Kaori Ishihara (Yuzuko Hazuki, Girl Friend BETA), illustrated by Takuya Fujima (ViVid Strike!)

Astro Boy: CV Rie Kugimiya (Alphonse Elric, Fullmetal Alchemist), illustrated by Tsunako (Hyperdimension Neptunia)

Black Jack: CV Nao Touyama (Reina Prowler, Macross Delta), illustrated by Kei Nanameda (Mugen Souls)

The official Twitter for Gosho Aoyama's Detective Conan manga series announced on October 11 that the fans of the manga now can send any questions about Kuro no Soshiki/Black Organization, the secret criminal syndicate who were responsible for transforming the protagonist Shinichi Kudo into a child, and that select questions will be directly answered by the manga author.

The official website for the Code Geass anime project has started streaming a 30-second first trailer for the forthcoming all-new sequel film Code Geass: Fukkatsu no Lelouch/Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection announcing its release in Japan on February 9, 2019. The clip also introduces three new characters: Shario (CV: Ayumu Murase), Shesutaaru (Nobunaga Shimazaki), and Bituru (Wataru Takagi). The three main characters from the original series, C.C. (Yukana), Suzaku Kururugi (Takahiro Sakurai), and Nunnally Lamperouge (Kaori Nazuka) were already confirmed to appear.

 

The film's official Twitter explained that they posted the trailer on October 5 because the first TV anime Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion premiered in Japan on the same day 12 years ago.

The film will be released in 120 theaters across Japan, and its "MoviTicket" edition advance tickets

will be available at the theaters from October 6. It comes with a mini story booklet including a short

novel by the anime's series composition writer Ichiro Oukouchi. The novel's story focuses on Lelouch

For those who want to dance like the five girls in the ED movie, the PreCure franchise's official YouTube channel has started streaming a seven-minute dance lesson video for "Hugtto! Yell For You," the second ED theme song for the ongoing 15th PreCure TV series Hugtto! PreCure. lectured by Cure Macherie (Nao Tamura) and Cure Amour (Yukari Tamura).

Strap in, fans of hard-boiled high school delinquent stories, because the bad boys of Eiji Nonaka's Cromartie High School manga are back (sort of) in a new, spin-off sequel manga entitled Cromartie High School: Staff Room that's heading to Kodanasha's Magazine Pocket digital manga anthology beginning on October 26, 2018.

 

 

Based on the original work by Eiji Nonaka, Cromartie High School: Staff Room is illustrated by Ichiban Ino and follows Tatsuya Aoyagi, a tough teacher who transfers to Cromartie High School with the intent of pounding some learning into the students' heads. The first chapter of Cromartie High School: Staff Room is also previewed in the November issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shōnen Magazine, which was published in Japan on October 06, 2018.

Nagisa and Honoka are everywhere for the 15th anniversary of PreCure, so it was only a matter of time before they made their way to the magical world of Granblue Fantasy!

The popular mobile game announced their collaboration with the magical girl series, which will start later this month. Both characters from the original series of PreCure will be available, and players can expect appearances from familiar sidekicks and items, too!

 

 

The PreCure event will kick off slightly before this year's Halloween mini-event. Extra quests, special Halloween items, and a chance at some bonus gacha will be up for grabs. A rerun of last year's Halloween event will also be taking place.

 

The Granblue Fantasy/PreCure collaboration begins October 14, with the Halloween event starting October 17.
