Ufotable has posted a preview of the A3 tapestry illustrated by TYPE-MOON co-founder Takashi Takeuchi, offered with pre-orders for the second box set of Fate/stay night[Unlimited Blade Works] through August 10th. The collection, which features 13 episodes with English subtitles, soundtrack CD, drama CD and 50-page production booklet, is selling for 35,000yen + tax ahead of an October 7th release.

A purported early look at the cover of the August issue of manga magazine Comic Zenon, out June 25th, is listing a TV anime adaptation of Fist of the North Star Ichigo Aji (Taste of Strawberry), Yushi Kawata and Imouto Yukito's parody of Buronson and Tetsuo Hara's post-apocalyptic martial arts epic.

 

 

Volume 4 of the 2013 ongoing will be collected June 20th.

In case you missed the big weekend news, Crunchyroll has added the classic Lupin the Third Part 2 to its catalog of streaming anime. Episodes 1-79 of the red jacket capers are current available in English subtitled and dubbed formats in the US and Canada.

 

The series is described:

Summary: Five years have passed since master thief Lupin and his gang made their daring escape out of Japan and went their separate ways. Then one day Lupin, Jigen, Goemon and Fujiko each receive an invitation from Lupin for a reunion aboard the luxury liner Sirloin. Reunited on the ship, they discover Lupin didn't send the invitations and the reunion is a trap by a vengeful Mister X, the Leader of the Scorpion Gang! Foiling Mister X’s plot while evading his ICPO nemesis, Inspector Zenigata, is all in a day’s work for Lupin and his gang, as their heisting adventures around the globe begin again!

With the 20th episode of the ongoing 12th installment Go! Princess PreCure aired on Sunday, June 14, Toei Animation's long-running PreCure series reaches its monumental 555th episode. A special voice message for the record from Haruka Haruno/Cure Flora (Yu Shimamura), Minami Kaido/Cure Mermaid (Masumi Asano), and Kirara Amanogawa/Cure Twinkle (Hibiku Yamamura) was attached to the beginning of the OP.

 

PreCure has already become the company's longest magical girl-featured TV anime series, surpassing Sailor Moon (the original TV series ran for five seasons with 200 episodes from 1992 to 1997) and Ojamajo Doremi (four seasons with 201 episodes from 1999 to 2003). It has been considered as one of the most successful anime franchise in the 2000s. The film edition of Go! Princess PreCure, which will be the series' 19th feature film, is set for a release in Japan this fall.

 

It is also announced that the first DVD volume of Go! Princess PreCure, which contains the first three

episodes, will be released on July 15 and its jacket illustration by the character designer Yukiko Nakatani

is posted on the official website. Unfortunately, as you know, there is no legal way to watch the show for

foreign people now, since it is not legitimately aired or simulcasted outside of Japan. I hope the DVD release

will give as many people as possible the chance to enjoy one of the best PreCure shows.

It is officially announced today that Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga series is listed in Guinness World Records for "The most copies published for the same comic book series by a single author" with 320,866,000 copies printed (as of the end of December 2014). The first volume of the manga was published in Japan in December 1997, and currently 77 volumes are available.

 

The presentation ceremony was held at Tokyo One Piece Tower with the cosplay performers for its attractions today on June 15. The author Oda, who couldn't make it to the event, gave his comment via Weekly Shonen Jump's editor in chief Yoshihisa Heishi, "Thank you very much for certification for the Guinness World Record. Though manga is just entertainment for killing time, I am happy to have heard from people that they were able to make friends, a boyfriend or girlfriend, thanks to the topics about One Piece. I feel the number of this record suggests the possibility to connect the people with the same number. I will not forget the gratitude to the predecessors and supporters in the manga industry, as well

as my readers, and I will keep working on the works that will not shame the record."

Exploration appeals to basic human instincts, and the basic joy we get from discovery makes exploration a key element for many games. While the geographic discovery of finding new levels or zones is a great example of exploration in games, it's not the only type of exploration that exists. Among others, games can provide mechanical discovery, where players try new build paths or skill combos to increase their mastery of the game; content discovery, where players seek to unlock secrets or rush to open new packs to find out what they carry; and narrative discovery, where instead of being walked through a story the player must piece together backstory and lore from evidence they find around the world. This joy of discovery comes as much from the hunt as from the finding, but the designer must reward the player's successful exploration with new tools or insights to show that the game recognizes their efforts.

The official YouTube channel for the ongoing TV anime adaptation of Miki Yoshikawa's comedy manga Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches has posted a new promotional video compiling the kiss scenes in the show. The story features "witches" with different powers that are activated with a kiss. For example, the main heroine Urara Shiraishi has a power to swap her body with others by kissing.

James Recommends Order of Battle: Pacific, a World War II game that breaks the trend of repetitive shooters by focusing on the action in the Pacific Theater. A turn-based RTS from the publishers at Slitherine, it puts the player in command of the navy for either the Allied or Axis powers, with campaigns that give them the power to recreate or change history. While the outcome of the war is in the player's hands, the designers have taken an interesting approach to creating the experience of being on the American side in Pearl Harbor. This unique battle gives the player control of only one ship and challenges them to raise the alarm and save their fellow ships as best they can while the AI guides the surprise attack to its inevitable result.

After first being announced last month, the first cast details for this Summer's Ranpo Kitan Game Of Laplace TV anime have been confirmed along with the reveal of a new key visual and a teaser confirming the broadcast date and opening theme.

 

 

First, the initial cast has been confirmed to consist of Takahiro Sakurai as Akechi, Rie Takahashi as Kobayashi and Daiki Yamashita as Hashiba. The latest teaser has also announcedd the opening theme Speed to Masatsu which will be performed by amazarashi. The series is being produuced as a tribute to the 50th anniversary of writer Edogawa Ranpo's death in 1965. Below, the new teaser with a snippet of the opening theme:

Force-of-Nature villains embody pure evil, or chaos, or other forces that move the world beyond the hero's control. They're not traditional characters with motives, desires, and a backstory that makes it easy to understand them. They exist purely to drive an agenda. The force they represent (and push relentlessly onto the world) defines the hero's values by interaction, giving the hero's human flaws and virtues greater value when contrasted with the villain's single-minded purpose. These villains are frequently portrayed as gods or monsters, like Sauron, but when written as humans, like the Joker or the Illusive Man, they are usually written as insane or obsessed.

Ever since Splatoon was first revealed, fans hoped to see some sort of Squid Girl, or Ika Musume, collaboration. In this week’s Japanese magazines, it’s been revealed that the collaboration fans have been waiting for is on the way for August.

Retailers in Japan including Amazon Japan have started accepting pre-orders for the latest character figures from Megahouse's Sekai Seifuku Sakusen (World Uniform Operation) line, 1/10 scale Tsubomi Hanasaki and Erika Kurumi from the 7th PreCure TV series in 2010-2011, HeartCatch PreCure!. The line was launched in September 2014 to focus on releasing popular anime girl figures in their school uniforms.

 

They are the third entry from the PreCure series, following Nagisa and Honoka from the first series Futari wa PreCure, and Love, Setsuna, Inori, and Miki from the sixth series Fresh PreCure!. The rest members of HeartCatch, Itsuki Myodouin and Yuri Tsukikage, are expected to be added sometime soon. The Tsubomi and Erika figures are scheduled to be shipped late November.

Following their print distribution on May 2nd, Marvel Comics has introduced its 2015 Free Comic Book Day promotional releases to digital platform Comixology today. These include FCBD 2015: Avengers #1and FCBD 2015: Secret Wars #0. The latter, a lead in to Marvel's summer event crossover, notably features back-up story "Attack on Avengers," a super hero crossover with Attack on Titan originally published in Tokyo-based media magazine Brutus.
