Wow, Super Mario 3D World might be the first game in a while that's really making me regret selling my Wii U. I've been loving the trailers, but the new screens Nintendo released are absolutely gorgeous, showing up close just how absurdly fun the whole game looks. 

Seriously? Kuribo's Shoe ice skates?! Gimme dat!

The four-player action is due out November 22 in North America and November 29 in Europe.

Persona fans have had reason to celebrate over the last couple of years, with a number of video game and anime releases bringing the franchise back into the limelight. The new media has been heavily geared toward Persona 4, but Vertex chose a Persona 3 heroine to add to their Dwell line of figures.

This figure shows a slightly older Mitsuru as she appears in Persona 4 Arena. As soon it was revealed, I knew I wanted it. Aside from being a big fan of the franchise and the character, I thought the figure itself looked epic. After shooting this photo set, though, my enthusiasm has been tempered by some serious reservations.

The guys of CineFix have composed a Back to the Future musical — well, a single song, titled "Great Scott!" of course — and Broadway needs to hire these guys immediately. Because the world needs a Back to the Future musical in it ASAP.

Figure maker Mega Hobby has announced that the great Kuroko figure from Kuroko's Basketball that will be available in January, 2014 and has also confirmed that he'll be followed figures with figures of Kagami Taiga and Kise Ryota.

The Weekly Jump official site has confirmed KuroBasu collaboratioins with magazines including this one that we previously reported on, and interestingly, in the list of magazines that are Gekkan Basketball, Da Vinch (magazine about books) and Web Sportiva (Shueisha's sports magazine web site), there is also a Weekly Playboy Magazine listing. It says Miracle (Kiseki) Collaboration Gravure....what could it be teasing?

As I'm only on the middle of the second season, I've still got a lot of Walt left to watch. It's a blessing, as I get to see a lot of good performances in the future, but it's a curse because now I have to play the "avoid spoilers" game. Oh well, more motivation to watch faster!

Mecha versus kaiju movie Pacific Rim has taken $305.8 million from international markets, in addition to a $101.4 million North American taken for total of $407.2 million. Now, that puts its 10th in the 2013 global box office behind Iron Man 3, Despicable Me 2, Fast & Furious 6 and even the likes of The Croods and Oz The Great and Powerful. However, if you want to qualify your superlatives, PR is the top original live-action film of 2013! 

Goes to show that the appeal of a giant robot punching a big lizard is universal!

In this summer, Japanese online art community Pixiv launched a Revolutionary Girl Utena Original Artwork Exhibition Illustration Contest to celebrate the Revolutionary Girl Utena Original Artwork FINAL Exhibition at the Hanshin department store in Osaka. Winners will have their work displayed as high quality prints at the exhibition and be presented with signatures from Director Kunihiko Ikuhara, Artist Chiho Saito, or Character Designer Shinya Hasegawa. 

The contest gathered 500 entries and after a rigorous review of all the entries the winners have finally been decided. Winners have been listed here.

Following the 30-second teaser in July, Cinema Today has posted a 1 minute 30 seconds long full trailer for the upcoming crossover film Lupin III vs Detective Conan The Movie. The highly-anticipated film featuring the two most famous anime characters will hits Japanese theaters on December 7. A TV special with the same title Lupin III vs Detective Conan was aired in Japan on March 27, 2009. As a result of its successful rating (19.5%), the new feature film received the green light.

Bandai announced today that they have started accepting pre-orders for "Love Kiss Rouge Lipstick" on their official online store Bandai Premium. The mild red color lipstick is inspired by the main weapon of Cure Ace, the 5th PreCure girl in the ongoing TV series Dokidoki! PreCure. She joined the series in the 22nd episode.

Cure Ace, who is voiced by popular voice actress Rie Kugimiya, shoots her final attack "Ace Shot" with a lipstick-like weapon called Love Kiss Rouge. The attack has various powers based on the color of lips she puts on; red (purifying), purple (blocking), yellow (binding), sky blue (trapping). The price of "Love Kiss Rouge Lipstick" is 1,780 yen (about US$18.07) and it will be shipped in December. The recommended age for it is 3 and older.
