Pokémon Go Is Sending Lots of Players To Church

by Patricia Hernandez

The first thing I noticed after initially booting up Pokémon Go was that 70% of the landmarks near me were churches. Considering that I’m not a religious person, this has proven to be kiiiind of awkward. I am not alone in feeling this way.

This Is the Last Thing Japan's Lost Black Hole Satellite Saw Before It Died

by Ria Misra on Gizmodo, shared by Katie Drummond to io9

Earlier this year, Japan launched a groundbreaking black-hole-monitoring satellite—only to lose control of it almost immediately under strange circumstances. Now, we finally can see what Hitomi did right before it died.

How Not To Scam Publishers For Free Games

by Luke Plunkett

So: there are loads of kids out there who try and ask publishers for free games. Most of them are at least up-front about their pan-handling, maybe pointing to a YouTube or Twitch channel that nobody watches. But then there’s this guy, who was busted trying to straight-up scam indie publisher Devolver.

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars Arrives On Wii U Virtual Console

by Casey
Dsider

I thought Tokyo Mirage Sessions would be the last (so far) great RPG I got on the Wii U, but hey, works for me. If they wanna surprise us with a translated Mother 3 before they kill the system, that'd be great. (yeah I know, who am I kidding)

Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars finally arrives on the North America Wii U Virtual Console after being available in Japan and PAL regions since last year.

This Is the First Legend of Korra Action Figure, You Gotta Deal With It

by Rob Bricken on io9, shared by Mike Fahey to Kotaku
Dsider

It's going to be great quality being a Nendo, but yeah it's not the kind of figure I'd be interested in for such a character. I still haven't even watched through either of the Avatar series yet though, so maybe I should just shut up.

Good news and bad news, guys: Korra, star of the Avatar sequel The Legend of Korra, has finally received an action figure courtesy of the folks at Good Smile. That’s the good news. The bad news is that if you were hoping for a Korra figure without a giant, oversized head, well, you’re going to be waiting a while longer.

How Has It Taken Us This Long to Get Peggy Carter as Captain America?

by James Whitbrook on io9, shared by Kevin Wong to Kotaku

The fact that Peggy Carter becoming Captain America is just for a Marvel mobile game tie-in and not, say, an ongoing comic book series that lasts 10 years is breaking my heart as much as it’s making me want to triumphantly wave the stars and stripes, and I’m not even American.

Internet Access Is Now A Basic Human Right

by Carli Velocci on Gizmodo, shared by Kevin Wong to Kotaku

All the more reason why I think it's a fitting punishment to mete out to those idiots who swat or doxx others online. They don't deserve such vital tools after committing crimes of that nature. A half-year without the internet at MINIMUM.

People may joke that others spend too much time on the internet, but this intricate series of tubes has become an important part of everyday life—so much so that it’s become a human rights violation to take it away.

This Obscure Anime Predicted So Much About The Future Of Cars

by Urambo Tauro on Jalopnik, shared by Riley MacLeod to Kotaku

Somehow, this ridiculous thing I watched 13-14 years ago keeps coming back into discussion

Imagine a future full of electric cars where everyone’s a passenger. Where traffic is not only managed but controlled by a digital network. Where on-demand ride-sharing services have become the norm, and the only human drivers are emergency crews behind the wheel of super-fast vintage “antiques” tasked with taking down AI cars that have gone haywire.

Zarya From Overwatch Has Become A Gay Icon, Ironically

by Cecilia D'Anastasio

Lots of Overwatch fans read the game’s proud, pink-haired Russian lady soldier Zarya as gay. While perhaps not a huge deal on its own, that interpretation conflicts with homophobic views widely held in Russia and backed by the state, forcing Russian Overwatch players to reconcile two clashing interpretations of a widely admired character.

Manufacturing Issues Lead To Zero Time Dilemma Pre-Order Debacle [UPDATE]
