Valve's in the process of testing something called Steam Music. Before you freak out and worry that Valve's getting into the music business, relax: this isn't a Spotify competitor. It's just a way to integrate your existing music collection with Steam.

Nothing Says Happy Chinese New Year Like A Racist Billboard
Dsidergjob idiots
As part of a shopping promotion, Bangkok shopping mall Central Festival unveiled billboards and ads to mark the Chinese New Year. The ad featured a white woman pulling one of her eyes. The text read, "Good to be Chinese." Understandably, people got upset.
Let Korean Photoshop Trolls Brighten Your Day Once Again

'A Cancer That's Eroding The Market': Reactions To EA's Dungeon Keeper
DsiderThey took one of my favorite games ever made (and one of the very first PC games I ever played and owned) and turned it into... I don't even know what the fuck this is supposed to be.
EA's new mobile Dungeon Keeper is free-to-play in the worst possible way, offering up a twisted cartoonish world in which you can progress through the game either by waiting or paying, and people aren't too pleased about it.
Nintendo Thinks Free-To-Play Is Hurting Their Business
DsiderSorry to break it to you Nintendo, but it's hurting everyone. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some costumes to buy.
The term "free-to-play" has become anathema to some gamers, and Nintendo doesn't seem to like it all that much either. In fact, Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata says he believes that this trend is actively hurting their hardware business.
Jeopardy Contestant Is Hated For Playing Like Nobody Else
DsiderWhat is HATERS GONNA HATE?
You think you know how to play Jeopardy, don't you? Answer in the form of a question, study your butt off, capitalize on anything that feels trendy, and press the buzzer when Trebek stops yapping, not before. It's worked for hundreds of people. But a new champion is showing that there's a better way, using game theory to get an edge on the other folks playing against him. People hate it.

Xbox One Trolls Trick People Into Using Bing
DsiderThe behavior in the game might be trolling, but the name stuff is a straight-up prank, and I LOVE IT.
When you're in the middle of an online match against other people, the last thing you want is an interruption—but interruptions are exactly the sort of thing Xbox One trolls will try to induce.

Texting While Driving Can Get You Seriously Hurt (In Mario Kart)
DsiderAww these kids are so cool! They're doing what I used to do with school projects except they're shoehorning in gaming in a logical manner!
By now we should all be on board with the idea that texting while driving is a particularly dangerous and irresponsible thing. But how does it affect one's driving within Mario Kart? A physician and some elementary schoolers found it significantly increases the risk of driving backwards, among other hazards.
Gaming Tip Or Life Lesson?

Miranda, Those Are Not Practical Space Combat Boots
What's in store for this week's cosplay roundup? Well, we've got some Mass Effect. Some Attack on Titan. Some Kiki's Delivery Service (yes!), some Castlevania, some Alice. And of course, it wouldn't be complete without someone dressed as Elizabeth from BioShock Infinite.
The Invisible Woman

Former writer of complaint letters to Australian TV. Seller of Doc Martens. Lover of dogs. Loser of mobile phones. She is also invisible.
Indie RPG Wants To Change The Way You Fight Monsters

A Tale Of Two Final Fantasys

Not Content With Adult Vehicles, Man Drives Around In Little Tikes Car

Remember the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe? Maybe you used to drive one around as a kid, Flintstones style, or maybe you knew someone else that did. Well, one man decided to supersize the iconic red toy car and make it into a real car.
A Game Where Your Shadow Changes The World
Fru is another creation from Global Game Jam 2014. It's a platformer where you can't see half of the platforms until you move into the right position. It starts out with fairly simple challenges, until about 2:40, when the acrobatics really begin.
When You Have to Hide Your Identity to Make a Video Game
Usually, it's the characters in the video games themselves that have the code names. Agent 47. Solid Snake. The Illusive Man. But, here in real life, a young Iranian artist working on a game has fled his homeland and hides his identity, all so he can do the thing he's always dreamed of.
Six Months of Work Went Into This Attack on Titan/Smash Bros. Mashup
DsiderI have to admire their effort if anything.
For a fan of both Super Smash Bros. and Attack on Titan, this is about as good as it gets. Hell, if you're a fan of just one of them, this video by AmazingArtistYellow still will make your morning.

Report: Nintendo's "Tomodachi Collection" Coming to 3DS in the West
DsiderWRONG GAME TO IMPORT, CHAMP.
A post about Nintendo over at the Wall Street Journal ended up revealing something interesting. It looks like Tomodachi Collection, AKA Friend Collection, is coming to the 3DS in the west at some point.
The final paragraph in the article talks about Nintendo deciding "what can be kept and what needs to be scrapped for its overseas launch of 'Tomodachi Collection' … a 3DS life simulation game in which Miis from consoles can interact with one another and develop via mundane activities, such as exchanging food and clothing."
Gaming site Tiny Cartridge followed up with Nintendo of America's PR team, who said there was nothing to announce at this time. The series is a big hit in Japan, though, and it sounds like Nintendo is working on tweaking it for an eventual western release.

Meet your new Lex Luthor: Jesse Eisenberg
DsiderI think he might actually come off as LESS evil than Mark Zuckerberg.
Jesse Eisenberg is going to bring all the creepy affectless hostility he cultivated in the Social Network to the role of Lex Luthor in Batman Vs. Superman, the sequel to last summer's Man of Steel. And you'll never guess who's the new Alfred.
Shinji Mikami's "The Evil Within" Shares More Creepy Screens and Art
Shinji Mikami's The Evil Within hasn't exactly had a history of flooding us with screenshots and footage. Thus, the fact that the latest look at the game only consists of two new screens and a piece of artwork isn't too surprising, but we'll take what we can get.
The Evil Within comes from Bethesda Softworks and developer Tango Gameworks and, as Mikami has previously insisted, will deliver a brutal return to "pure survival horror." Have a look at a crime scene and protagonist Sebastian in some tense situations in the images below.
The Evil Within is set to arrive on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC later this year.

"Mind Zero" RPG Heads to North America and Europe This Spring
DsiderI actually don't know anything about this game, I'm just always astonished to see more Vita RPGs coming to the US. And no, I'm not counting Conception 2. You can't make me!
Earlier this week some information leaked regarding a localization of Mind Zero, AKA MIND≒0, a PS Vita RPG by Acquire and ZeroDiv that originally hit Japan in August 2013. With the cat out of the bag, publisher Aksys Games confirmed the upcoming release, with the RPG set to arrive in North America and Europe this spring.
The North American release of Mind Zero will be both retail and digital. Europe's will be digital only.
Here's how Aksys describes the game:
Mind Zero is an action-packed dungeon-crawler RPG for the PlayStation Vita system. Play as Kei, a high school student whose life turns upside down when he forms a contract with a “Mind,” a weapon/being with deadly powers. With the government and other forces trailing him and his friends, Kei will need to discover the secret behind “Mind.” Will these newfound powers help him or ultimately be his doom?
• Control Your “Mind” – As you and the rest of your party battle enemies, use your “Mind” to do your bidding – unleashing powerful attacks and defending yourself from harm. Master skills and become even more powerful.
• Dungeon Crawling Action – Once you enter a dungeon, you will face a treacherous maze of monsters, all ready to devour you. Make sure to prepare yourself before you step inside!
• Discover Your “Mind” – Each “Mind” has unique abilities; however, delving deeper into the mystery, you learn the dangers of these powerful “monsters.” Are these “Minds” a blessing…or a curse?
