With the kitchen and pantry space having undergone radical design changes in the last few years, the coffee machines seem to be getting whackier by the day, as new ideas emerge from different brands. We saw the Expresso Veloce coffee machine that virtually put a V12 engine, but in a coffee making avatar. Before that, we had the Blossom Coffee Machine that had an ex-NASA and Apple engineer work on it’s exotic design. Now Alpha Dominche has returned at the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) event with the Steampunk 4.0 machine, bearing a price tag of $15,000. When it was initially showcased last year at the SCAA event, it won the award for the Best New Product. The coffee and tea brewing machine brings in a whole lot of techniques to get the best out of each cup with techniques such as French Press, or even Siphoning Over with a single device.

The coffee chains which have a high turnout at the outlets, will certainly be impressed with the features these machines have. Though expensive, but this machine certainly does a world of good to increasing productivity in terms of quality and quantity at the same time. Each Alpha Minche 4.0 Steampunk can prepare 4 cups at the same time, with each brew being a custom one. In an hour, the machine can churn up between 60 to 80 cups, which takes care of most of what cafe owners would be looking at.

The looks match the capabilities pretty much all the way. The boiler gets shifted below the service counter, which gives the servers more space to work with. Only the glass columns are seen above the counter, which would enhance the visual appeal to customers and users alike.

For those looking to install one of the Steampunk 4.0 machines in their cafes, or even a private pantry with frequent usage, can opt for 2 or 4 crucible models. The choice would depend on the capacity of the cafe where the brews are being churned out. Also, the machine is out on pre-order, and some outlets in New York, Salt Lake City, Santa Cruz in California, are being majorly targeted at the moment but with demand rising, one could be seeing these in a lot of outlets of Barista and cafe Coffee Day.

Leica cameras have been some of the most treasured equipment in photographers’ history. So much has been the the craze, most of them have fetched record breaking prices at auctions, as we see in the most expensive cameras, and the rare Leica camera auctions. With the elaborate history it has, with some of the most iconic photographs of all time being clicked with it, including ‘The Kiss in Times Square’, the Leica III Rangefinder is set to go up for auction in Vienna on May 24 this year. Set to bring in anything between $23,500 to $32,780, this particular camera is a part of the WestLicht’s Photographia Auction which will also have a signed copy of the ‘Kiss in Times Square’ accompanying the gadget.

In 1945, when Germany surrendered to it’s defeat in the 2nd World War, the historic photograph where a sailor was seeing kissing a nurse, was a part of the Life magazine in the multi-page spread within. Much against the popular perception, the photo never appeared on the cover of the magazine. Alfred Eisenstaedt was the photographer, who was randomly clicking away trying to store as many memories, but this one particular was known to be the most iconic of them all, and has been a part of much trivia generated over the years.

Eisenstaedt was indeed a lucky man, as he managed to survive till the age of 96, and along the way photographed some of histories most known faces, including Bill Clinton in 1993. He is also known to have used the camera throughout his photographic career, and this was perhaps the most famous one clicked during 60-year long period.

As part of the offerings, the winner of the bid will also get the 50-millimeter f/2 Summitar lens and original VIOOH viewfinder that Alfred Eisenstaedt used to click the photograph. Back in those days, there was no motor drive, light meter, or a flash sync to click the right image, but that certainly didn’t seem to hamper the status of ‘Kiss in Times Square’.

With the speed factor being the main focus, the Grand Sport World Record edition has been known to touch speeds of 408.8 kmph, which makes it the fastest road legal convertible in the world.

To tell the world that this car is indeed unique, the chassis has been given a black shading, but there is the perfect contrast with the bright tangerine fillings in the frontier and the sidelines too, especially the alloy wheel frames. The black chassis has the usual generosity with carbon fiber in it’s make, which does a good lot to reduce the weight of the car, and help its ever powerful engine to bring in the breath taking speeds it is known for.

The interiors see a similar interplay of colors between tangerine and black. The leather seats have the headrest and outer frame done up in tangerine shade, where the centre part remains a rich and tense black. The stitching along the central control panel and the door opener remains a tangerine amongst the black surfacing generally. What would definitely be notable is the tangerine shaded stitching along the central console panel, which gives out the sportiest flavor possible. Also, when one opens the doors of this vehicle, there will be the special signing on the lower frame, which depict the edition of the Bugatti World Record version.

The engine needs no real re introduction, but the numbers are eye catching as usual. 1,183 HP quad turbo, 8.0-liter W16 is what is packed under the hood, being the main reason for reaching the world record barriers. The new turbo chargers and inter-coolers along with the 16b cylinders which have been tweaked in this edition of the Grand Sport model, gives a special thrust for the high speeds, thus breathing in extra life to it.

Taiwanese computer manufacturer Inhon has announced what they claim is the worlds thinnest laptop, the Inhon Blade 13 Carbon, which measures just 10.7mm thick and it weighs in at just 870g.
