Everything was going fine on an International flight traveling from Tel Aviv to Toronto, until the plane's pilot recognized a heating malfunction in the cargo bay. Normally the pilot would have stayed the course, but this one knew a French bulldog was along for the ride.
So at great financial and time expense, the pilot decided to drastically change direction for the sake of the pup.
The seven-year-old French bulldog named Simba was taking its first flight when the pilot noticed the problem just as the plane was about to head over the Atlantic Ocean, where temperatures plummet.
With the dog's well-being in peril the pilot decided to land the plane in Frankfurt, Germany.
The dog's owner was more than grateful.
"It's my dog, it's like my child. It's everything to me," he said after they were reunited at Pearson Airport.
Aviation expert Phyl Durby said the pilot made the right call, despite tacking on about $10,000 in fuel costs and delaying the flight by 75 minutes.
Though the dog is named, the hero pilot was not identified. He could be anywhere out there, blending in with the rest of humanity. Ready to reemerge when he senses another French bulldog in turmoil.

This toddler is having a nice time in a parking lot when she is startled by a stranger who silently sneaked up to her. She panics and flees, but like the monster in It Follows, the stranger pursues her relentlessly.

Looks like Disney wasn't lying when they portrayed forest animals helping clean homes.

Thank you to everyone who stopped while this family of ducklings flagged down a Police escort across a busy Christchurch intersection. They went on to explore a newly formed water feature!!! :) ;)

For the last three seasons this pool has invited local dogs to come play in the water before they have to clean and drain the pool for the winter. The proceeds from this Calgary pool day for dogs goes to their local humane shelter.

Like a true American hero, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson spent his Labor Day weekend rescuing puppies. He posted this picture on his Instagram after diving head first into the pool after his two new baby dogs, Brutus and Hobbs, decided to go for a swim. Brutus, on the left, sank immediately but of course was saved in the nick of time leading The Rock to conclude his story with the following lessons:
A) Not all puppies have the instinct to doggie paddle. B) Some puppies (like BRUTUS) will be so in shock by experiencing water they will sink extremely fast so react quick. C) While spiriting to save your puppies life, before you dive in, try and throw your cel phone to safety. Don't keep it in your pocket... like I did.

This little rhino was born at the Zoological Center Tel Aviv-Ramat Gan. She is part of important conservation efforts that hope to someday help stop the decline of the white rhinoceros population in Africa.
