撿垃圾運動魅力席捲30多國 第二屆「SPOGOMI世界盃」10月東京登場

7月底，東倫敦的哈克尼沼澤（Hackney Marshes）舉辦了一場特別的運動賽事。參賽者三人一組，穿上背心，戴起手套，手持袋子衝出。他們要盡可能的撿拾垃圾，再進行分類，最後計算總分。運氣、策略、體力都很重要，因為不同類別的垃圾有不同的權重，熟知規則才能爭取高分。勝出者有望代表英國，前往東京參加今年10月的Spogomi世界盃，與超過30國好手競爭冠軍。
撿垃圾也能感動到哭
Spogomi（スポゴミ）源自日本，這個字結合sport（運動）與gomi（日文ごみ，垃圾）。發起人馬見塚健一（Kenichi Mamizuka）的理念很簡單：「撿垃圾是運動！」
運動有種神奇的魔力。《帕拉體育支援網》（パラサポWEB）報導，在荒川的一所小學，六年級生參加了Spogomi競賽。他們即將畢業，前往不同的國中就讀，這場比賽別具意義。獲勝後，女孩們相擁而泣。若僅是撿垃圾，可能不會有這麼大的感動。
馬見塚健一於2008年發起這個運動，剛開始時，他申請主辦比賽，卻被地方政府以「跟一般撿垃圾沒有兩樣」、「在街道間運動很危險」為由反對。即便獲准辦理，也常被其它撿垃圾的團體批評「只是鬧著玩」。
如今，這項活動獲得不少學校、企業支持。Uniqlo自2021年起，與Spogomi合辦了29場活動，地點遍布城市與海灘，甚至成為世界級的賽事。
撿垃圾比賽怎麼玩？
第一屆Spogomi世界杯於2023年在東京舉行，來自21個國家的代表隊參賽。比賽時間為上下午各45分鐘，範圍選在澀谷站至表參道間。最終，英國隊以83.7公斤獲得冠軍，在預選賽中奪得日本代表權的新瀉隊以55.5公斤居第二，參賽隊伍總共撿了超過550公斤的垃圾。
今年Spogomi世界盃預賽的規則是：每隊由3人組成，不限年齡與性別，一個小時撿拾垃圾，20分鐘分類。最後依垃圾種類與重量計分，積分最高的隊伍勝出。
以每100公克計算，一般垃圾可得10分、玻璃瓶與鋁罐12分、寶特瓶25分。體積小、很難收集的菸蒂則每100公克可得200分。
其他規則包括，分類錯誤扣100分、不得奔跑、不得從垃圾桶撿拾垃圾、僅能撿公共區域的垃圾等。推行至今，Spogomi參與人數超過16萬人，撿拾垃圾多達193公噸（統計至2024年11月）。
改變眼界的比賽
第二屆Spogomi世界盃即將於今年的10月舉辦，各國的資格賽正如火如荼舉辦中。上屆冠軍，29歲的派瑞（Sarah Parry）出席了倫敦預賽。依據賽事規則，他今年不能參加決賽，但他仍想試試身手。
外界或許認為這項「運動」很休閒，不過，派瑞告訴《衛報》，「我跑過33場馬拉松，上次的世界盃讓我的腿痠到不行，從來沒一場比賽這麼痠痛過」，「一邊快走，一邊還要搬著奇形怪狀的垃圾，你必須用到全身的肌群。」
她回想當年，東京非常熱，而路人都不了解，為何有些人會在看到路邊垃圾時興奮成這個樣子。但他隨即嚴肅地說，其實英國街道垃圾更多，只是他之前習以為常，所以不會特別注意。參與比賽後，他再也無法視而不見。
