SanDisk introduces wireless flash storage drives
Flash drives aren’t anything new, wireless storage devices aren’t either, but SanDisk has managed to combine the two in a fun, ultra-portable, attractive USB drive. SanDisk Connect Wireless Flash Drives include a 16GB or 32GB option, while the larger cube-shaped SanDisk Connect Media drives include 32GB or 64GB versions, both for sharing your stored photos, documents, movies and music wirelessly amongst your mobile devices. You can even easily expand this storage space further. The flash drive has a microSD slot, while the media drive includes a handy standard SDHC card slot. Nice!
SanDisk’s goal is to save us the need to locate cables, cords, or a USB plug when you want to transfer files to other mobile devices. None of these are necessary, nor is an internet connection to access or transfer files wirelessly, BUT it does require use of a SanDisk Android, iOS, or Web app available on the App Store, Google play or Amazon. Access is WiFi password-protected, and the wireless range is pretty good at 150 ft.
Battery life on the flash drive is about four hours, while the media drive doubles that to eight hours. Both devices offer eight simultaneous device connections. The flash drive allows three HD media streams, while the media drive offers five.
Destined to be popular for travel/location photography or anyone who needs to beam files wirelessly on the go, I think SanDisk has a winner here.
Pricing for the Flash drive is $49.99 for the 16GB and $59.99 for the 32GB version. The larger Connect Media Drive price comes in at $79.99 for the 32GB and $99.00 for the 64GB version. They are available right now for preorder from Amazon, Newegg, and Micro Center.

Track, Access & Wipe Your Lost Or Stolen Android With Droid Finder
Know that feeling of helplessness when you misplace your mobile phone, or worse, have it stolen? Losing your smartphone can be scary because of all your personal data like SMS, contacts, photos, emails, and sometimes even financial information that resides on it or is accessible from it. On the flip side, you can save yourself from such nightmare by using various security features of the OS, as well as third-party apps available to enhance it. If you’re not sure where to start, take Droid Finder for a try. In case your Android phone goes missing, this app may not only help you locate your missing device, but also send you pictures of the intruder via the device’s front facing camera. It uses your Google account to monitor your device, pinpoints its location on Google Map API and lets you track it via its web-based dashboard.
Droid Finder is very easy to setup. Upon launching it, just tap ‘Sign in’ at the top, after which you can link your Google+ account with the app. The app boasts a wide array of features such as anti-theft, intruder alert, SMS control, SIM change alert etc., and gives you full flexibility and control over the ones you want to enable or disable. All these features are initially disabled though, and the app prompts you to ‘Fix it’ by tapping the each.

You will also need to lock your device via a Pin or Pattern Lock first in order to use any of the Anti-theft options of the app. You can enable/disable your desired option via simple on/off switches. Intruder Alert is pretty handy for remotely locking your device through the web-based dashboard. Though where things get really interesting is the Trigger Modes screen, which allows you choose and activate four different types of triggers: silent, medium, aggressive or custom, all of which are pretty much self-explanatory. As stated earlier, Droid Finder can also capture photos of anyone who tried to access your phone, meaning if the device is stolen, those photos might potentially show you the thief. Also, in case you’ve just misplaced your device, a photo may help you remember where you left it.

The rest of the things are done from the web based control center, which basically enables you to remotely control your device as well as locate it using GPS, GSM or Wi-Fi location, and showing it on Google Maps. To get started, you can go to the Droid Finder web page and sign in using your Google+ account.

The control center looks pretty nice and easy to navigate. Of course, your device must have one of the available communication options enabled in order for its location to be tracked. You can also find out if the SIM card in the handset has been removed or replaced. Other than that, you can send a text or email to your device, lock it, wipe data, manually capture a photo using its camera, or even dial your number from it.

Droid Finder is available at Google Play for free. Just use the download link below to grab it for your device.

Retro Brick Phone
If we imagine a world without Smartphones, then it’s easy to picture this Just 5 Brick Phone by Art Lebedev Studio as a must-have. However, we do live in the world of Technicolor so a large-key, monochromatic graphics-display phone sounds a bit off. Or does it? Specs like retractable antenna, radio, alarm clock, flashlight, calculator, calendar, handheld meter, only one game – “Race” and mapping are nostalgic. The winner of course is the one-week battery power. Will you trade this for your iPhone or Samsung Galaxy?

Monitor Your Vision
Imagine being able to stare at your computer screen all day long without your glasses or contact lenses. A farfetched though for myopic folks like me, unless we undergo surgery; or we see the fruition of the i-Free concept. The idea is to have auto-correcting screen that portrays images according to the prescription number you have. This ways you strain your eyes lesser and it helps your vision in the long run. I’m all ears to know more if this idea is plausible; any comments?

Porch Potty Premium – Keeps your Dog High and Dry
I love having a dog. They truly are man’s best friend. I enjoy having the little guy greeting me at the door, hanging out with me while I’m relaxing, going on hikes and car rides. What I don’t enjoy is having to take him out to do his business when it’s raining (or snowing, or cold). Truth be told, he doesn’t like it all that much either.
Well, check out the Porch Potty, an automated, turf litter box for dogs. With the option of using synthetic grass, or the real deal, the Porch Potty gives your pooch a perfect potty option right on your covered porch, deck, or patio. The Porch Potty Premium includes a nifty 14 foot drainage hose that can be directed to your floor drain, or even a nearby gutter, and when connected to a garden hose, pop up sprinklers allow you to rinse the potty area, conveniently keeping it clean and odor free without any soap or chemicals.
The all weather resin wicker-look over metal frame Porch Potty Premium gives Fido around 8 square feet of circling potty pleasure, and it comes with a scented fire hydrant for inspiration, (scented with what, I don’t know, and don’t want to know) the drain hose, and a potty training manual and you can even add a 39 dollar Porch Potty timer, to make the system completely automated. So the next time foul weather strikes, and neither one of you wants to get wet, just let your dog out on the porch! Available at amazon.com for well under 300 bucks.
