by Brian Betschart

Nike SB Dunk Low Cincinnati Reds Release Date

Nike SB is launching a two pair pack inspired by the 1990 Wold Series matchup, the Cincinnati Reds vs. the Oakland A’s. Our first look of the pack is the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Nasty Boys’ Cincinnati Reds.

From the info we have received, the Nasty Boys Dunk SB Low will actually be a collaboration with a skate shop out of Cincinnati, but the store is unknown at this time. The A’s edition will also be a collab with a store based out of Oakland, California.

The nickname Nasty Boys was given to the relief pitchers of the Reds; Norm Charlton, Rob Dibble and Randy Myers. According to sources, there was actually five members of the clique which also included Tim Layana and Tim Birtsas.

Featuring red nubuck through the overlays and outsole that is followed up with grey panels, tongue and toe box. Gold accents fill in the leather swoosh, Nasty Boys on the heel as well as the Nike branding. Other details include a white midsole, laces, a red cross stitch resembling baseball seams on the tongue and the American Flag by the heel.

Will Jordan Brand Be Convinced To Releases The CP3.9 “Green Suede”?

by Zack Schlemmer

Usually completely ignored by sneaker collectors each year, Chris Paul’s Jordan Brand signature line almost never receives any attention from the masses. And just when you think there’s a version of his new CP3.9 dropping that people might actually seek out, we all learn that they aren’t even going to be available at retail. So goes the story of this lifestyle edition of the CP3.9 in green suede, which much to the chagrin of all those hoping to grab a pair, is limited to only 33 pairs and were all gifted to CP’s friends and family. We can only hope that Jordan Brand will change their minds and drop a few pairs at retail, but we all shouldn’t be holding our breath. At least we have these pictures to look at.

Blackberry confirms its Android phone formerly known as Venice

by Cameron Faulkner
Blackberry confirms its Android phone formerly known as Venice

BlackBerry's move into Android is now official. Its CEO, John Chen, confirmed that the company is launching its foray with, you guessed it, that oft-rumored smartphone with a slide-out keyboard.

Not just that, the phone, previously codenamed "Venice", has a new name, Priv. BlackBerry Priv. It might seem like a confusing name at first, but Chen's announcement offers a few hints as to what it could mean.

Announced during a quarterly meeting, Chen goes on record by saying that "I am confirming our plans to launch Priv, an Android device named after BlackBerry's heritage and core mission of protecting our customers' privacy. Priv combines the best of BlackBerry security and productivity with the expansive mobile application ecosystem available on the Android platform."

Ok, so Priv is short for privacy? Possibly. Doing a bit of research on the latin root for "priv" more or less confirmed it. BlackBerry hopes to sway its customers over to the new Android-powered phone by promising them with a secure foundation.

Aside from the name, nothing else was confirmed. We've heard quite a few rumors as to what could be inside of the BlackBerry Priv, but it's all still speculation at this point.

Though no official pricing or release date was specified, BlackBerry's Priv will be released later on the year. Rumors point to a November release, and on multiple carriers in the US.
