If you’ve decided to use a bike to commute, you’ll quickly come across a common problem: Bikes are really, really easy to steal and really, really hard to find once stolen.

The BikeSpike not only solves this problem, it serves as a fitness tracker and collision warning system as well.

Essentially the BikeSpike is disguised with a water bottle cage. You point your smartphone at it, press a button, and the tracker is on: If your bike moves outside a predetermined boundary, you’ll be alerted and be able to post live GPS information online, or send it directly to the police.

Beyond the anti-theft features, it uses accelerometers to determine just how hard your commute is working you out, and those same sensors can be programmed to automatically text a set list of people in case you experience some form of impact.

You will have to subscribe to a yearly plan in order to get the monitoring, but on the bright side, you’ll know how many calories you’re burning, and how much exercise the thief that stole your bike is getting before the cops drop on him like the Hammer of Thor.

NeoGAF user canIhasAnAccount discovered a temporary XBLA box art and banner for a new Strider game. Subsequently, users found a Strider entry on the Steam database, complete with icon of Strider Hiryu's face from the Capcom ninja series.

To extrapolate further, user Sega1991 found a Steam Community page connected by number with the leaked Steam information, posted by a user "ascarlston" whose profile offers a first name "Andrew." A quick search finds one Andrew Carlston in the game industry, a junior programmer at Double Helix. He's Steam friends with someone named Jorge Oseguera, a name belonging to a producer at Double Helix. Double Helix is the studio behind Silent Hill: Homecoming, as well as Front Mission Evolved and the Battleship game (based on the movie based on the game.)

As we find ourselves trapped deep within this rabbit hole, we called out to Capcom for verification of any of this. Capcom told Joystiq only that "We have made no announcements in regards to that title." In the absence of more info about that, why not look back at the last attempted Strider reboot, by GRIN Barcelona?

With all the news circling around about the Evil Dead remake, no one expected this. Yes, kiddies, Army of Darkness 2. No, not Evil Dead 4...

And Jim Carrey isn’t. This is basically good news for everybody. Guardians Of The Galaxy is the bizarre outlier in Marvel’s upcoming superhero slate. The protagonists are a team of space-faring rejects that include a talking raccoon, his best friend a sentient tree, and a couple dudes in weird helmets. So not exactly Spider-Man caliber name recognition here.

The film has just started casting, with Chris Pratt (from Parks & Recreation and Zero Dark Thirty) getting the lead role of Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, and now the Hollywood Reporter has the scoop on who’s playing the meaty green psychopath known as Drax the Destroyer.

A number of Hollywood’s buffest actors were in line for the part, including Jason Momoa (Conan), Isaiah Mustafa (the Old Spice guy) and Patrick Wade. But the part went to former WWE wrestler and current mixed martial artist Dave Bautista. Bautista has been pursuing acting more intensely in recent years, and he will also play the antagonist in the upcoming Riddick opposite Vin Diesel.

Drax is a pretty bizarre character in the comic books – he was an ordinary suburban dad killed for no reason by the superpowerful Thanos, then raised from the grave by some other cosmic entity, turned green and given immeasurable strength and durability. He’s also not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Thankfully, some other recent casting rumors were also dispelled this week. We previously mentioned that both Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler were in line for roles in the film, which would… not be good. Carrey busted those rumors at SXSW last week, saying that he’s never even heard of the movie. You and the rest of America, dude.

So we have a sitcom star and a former fake fighter. Who will be next and how do they expect to sell this movie to anybody but the nerdiest of nerds?

I always loved playing as him in the old double-screen arcade game. This figure represents him well save for the teleportation-effect base, which is, alas, pretty sad. If they had come up with one that simulated his "Special Mutant Power" in the game, I would have marked out like crazy. This version ships to comic shops in April.

A woman yelled to Louis C.K., “Your boots are really sexy.” Normally, that’d be a nice thing to say to a man to whom you’d like to provide sexual favors. But not while Louis C.K. is performing, apparently.

It’s also kind of creepy to interrupt anecdotes about his daughters with a compliment on his boots. I bet if someone offered this woman the same praise during a similar time period she’d probably say things like “Oh my god” and “I cannot believe you just said that” and “Please stop touching my feet and groaning while I’m dropping my children off at school.” Women.
