Best Buy offering $100 off a Nexus 9 when you trade-in any working tablet
Technology moves fast and if you’ve been eying a new Android tablet this holiday season, chances are you already have one that hasn’t aged so gracefully. If re-purposing that old tablet is out of the question, you can always trade it in and recover some of that money you poured into it.
Right now, Best Buy has a trade-in deal for anyone looking to pick up a Nexus 9. According to their new promo page, you can nab yourself $100-off a Nexus 9 with the trade-in of any working tablet. Okay, so the word “any” is still subject to Best Buy’s terms and conditions in that there are some tablets they wont take, for instance, any of the Barnes and Noble Nook or e-readers.
The full $100 comes in form of a $50 Best Buy giftcard for the trade-in, and another $50 discount off the Nexus 9 for a grand total of $100 in savings. It’s not bad, especially if you have an old Nexus 7 you’ve been meaning to upgrade. For full terms and conditions, make sure to check out Best Buy’s promo page here.

It Sure Looks Like Odell Beckham Jr. Made That Catch With Three Fingers

If you haven't seen Odell Beckham Jr.'s insane catch by now, watch it here , but also check out these photos from Al Bello of Getty Images. The details of the whole highlight are beautiful, like Cowboys corner Brandon Carr tumbling out of bounds, the flag on the eventually declined penalty, and the fact that Beckham initially caught that football with three damn fingers.

T-Mobile adds 14 new music services to Music Freedom (including Google Play Music)
T-Mobile made nice on their promise to greatly increase the list of services compatible with Music Freedom by the end of the holiday season. In case you aren’t aware, Music Freedom allows T-Mobile customers to listen to music while using network data without having it count toward data usage. It’s a great perk for being part of the Uncarrier movement, and now it’s getting even bigger — 14 new services have been added to the list.
The biggest name is Google Play Music, one which everyone’s been waiting for since Music Freedom was announced. Other notables include SoundCloud and Xbox Music, but that’s just scratching the surface. Here’s the full list of new additions:
- Google Play Music
- Xbox Music
- SoundCloud
- RadioTunes
- Digitally Imported
- Fit Radio
- Fresca Radio
- JAZZRADIO
- Live365
- Mad Genius Radio
- radioPup
- radio.com
- ROCKRADIO
- Saavn
That brings the full list to a whopping 27 services. Here are the other 13 that were added in previous updates:
- Rhapsody
- Pandora
- AccuRadio
- Black Planet
- Grooveshark
- iHeartRadio
- iTunes Radio
- Samsung Milk Music
- Radio Paradise
- Rdio
- Slacker
- Songza
- Spotify
Not too shabby, T-Mobile. Still not seeing your favorite music service? T-Mobile regularly holds polls to see which services are most requested, and they also ask for the creators of these services to submit a request to be included. Their lofty dream of having every music service imaginable available on Music Freedom means it’s not impossible to see even the most niche apps get added over time, as well, so contact the developers of your favorite apps and sit tight if they haven’t already been added.

There is only one Times Square, New York, the place where the world rings in the new year, and now Google is set to take over the largest electronic billboard ever installed on the iconic, neon-laced strip
The billboard, which covers an entire city block, is powered by a Mitsubishi Electric large-scale display (the Diamond Vision AVL-ODT10) that delivers a pixel density of 2,368 x 10,048, exceeding 4K display resolution by 15 million pixels
Located at 1535 Broadway, between 45th and 46th streets, about a mile and a half from Google's New York headquarters, the record-setting billboard measures 77.69 feet by 329.65 feet Read more...

One of the scariest-looking fish around, the black seadevil, has been caught on video at 580m (1,900 feet) deep — probably for the first time
The video, posted on YouTube on Nov. 21 by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI), shows the scary-looking fish (you might remember it from a chase scene in Pixar's Finding Nemo) swimming in the dark depths of the Monterey Canyon
The aptly named seadevil — more precisely, a female deep-sea anglerfish from the genus Melanocetus — looks like something you wouldn't want to encounter in the water, but at 9cm (3.5 inches) in length, it's hardly a human-devouring monster Read more...

AT&T dwellers got their hands on the Nexus 6 and immediately noticed a few things that didn’t sit well. Carrier logos, boot animations and network restrictions — while not all that horrifying — annoyed enough people that a big stink was made about it. Fortunately for those folks AT&T’s Nexus 6 isn’t that hard to “fix,” though T-Mobile’s proud of the fact that you won’t have to “fix” their variant at all.
Company man Des Smith, a senior product manager who launched the T-Mobile G1 for the company way back when, took to Google+ to speak directly to the followers of their Uncarrier movement and told them they won’t have to worry about any big bad carrier stuff being shipped off with their Nexus 6 units:
No Corporate Logo, No Bloatware, no crap you don’t want on the #Nexus6 from+T-Mobile:
That’s Un-carrier – listening to our customers and giving them what they want, not sticking a stupid corporate logo and a bunch of crap software I know you guys don’t want on your #Nexus device.
We know you guys buy a #Nexus6 to avoid that kind of thing!
Google did want to highlight the Virtual Preload (VPL) capabilities on Lollipop, so we made MyAccount available if you want it… But you can totally delete it. That’s what we do.
Hope you like what we’ve chosen to do there (or more importantly, what we’ve chosen not to do).
And the little stuff like that is the reason T-Mobile has gained a lot of momentum this past year. Let’s hope they keep this up (even if only to keep everyone else on their toes and the edge of their seats).
The Sonim XP6 combines ruggedness, buttons, push-to-talk, and Android on AT&T
If you've been looking for a phone that marries a modern smartphone with a classic candy-bar cellphone, all wrapped in a cocoon of toughness, you'll want to look no further than the Sonim XP6 on AT&T. At first glance you wouldn't think much of it — with its physical number pad, d pad, and call buttons it looks like any other hyper-ruggedized cellphone, complete with a little nub of a vestigal antenna sticking up in the top right corner. But then this black-and-yellow beast is turned on and that screen displays, of all things, Android 4.4 KitKat.
T-Mobile to sell Nexus 9 through their “Underground” marketplace early December; $0 down
Alongside announcing official launch availability for the Nexus 6, T-Mobile revealed that they’d be selling the tablet counterpart very soon. The company has announced that they will be selling the Nexus 9 LTE in their “T-Mobile Underground” store starting early December. You can get it for $0 down if you want, though that obviously comes with a 24-month commitment to monthly installments of $24.99.
The T-Mobile Underground is a storeroom for devices meant for enthusiasts, where you might be able to find devices that are hard to come by otherwise (that’s where you’ll be able to find their 64GB variant of the Nexus 6, FYI). No matter how they’re selling it, though, we’re just happy to know it won’t be too long before you can get your hands on it. Let us know if you’ll be looking to grab one once they’re out and about.

Little League star Mo'ne Davis is releasing a memoir
ChanoatxThis is foolish.

After becoming a child star, landing on the cover of Sports Illustrated, inspiring girls across the country, throwing a killer first pitch before a World Series game and starring in a primetime ad on national TV, what's left for a teen to do?
For Mo'ne Davis, the girl who catapulted from anonymity to take the world by storm as a 13-year-old Little League star this summer, the answer is simple: Pen a memoir

More about Entertainment and SportsHe's not dead: NFL star corrects Wikipedia after devastating hit

Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders suffered one of the most devastating hits you'll ever see during his team's 22-7 loss to the St. Louis Rams on in NFL action on Sunday
How bad was the hit? In a decidedly 21st century twist, Sanders posted a selfie to Twitter on Monday to clear up something of a misunderstanding on Wikipedia
None of this would be remotely funny if Sanders had suffered anything more serious than a concussion. The hit by Rams safety Rodney McLeod was both breathtaking and disturbing in its level of violence. Behold what happened as a defenseless Sanders laid out to try to catch a long pass from Peyton Manning — but don't say we didn't warn you Read more...
More about Nfl, Entertainment, and SportsNappers rejoice! The Nutshell is the ultimate sleep pod

This invention really gets us.
An MFA student at the New York School of Visual Arts has invented the ultimate napping device. The invention is appropriately called “The Nutshell” and I think I speak for everyone when I say that this needs to be in stores ASAP.

In a nutshell, The Nutshell (PUN INTENDED), was invented by Eden Lew and is a portable one-person napping pod with an iPod jack. Strap the device on like a backpack, go to your place of work and fold down the hood whenever you need a break. It’s perfect for the library, office or 2-hours into watching the Aaliyah biopic on Lifetime.
The Nutshell was invented as part of an assignment during an SVA class called “Affirming Artifacts” in which the professor asked students to “redesign the next thing they threw out.” Lew happened to discard a sandwich wrapper and after 7 weeks of prototyping, Eden came up with the Nutshell.
