25 Incredible Pokemon Fusions

Pete Mecum

Some awesome; some really creepy.

Since anything you can imagine is already something that exists on the internet, there's a website called Pokemon Fusion, which allows you to fuse two Pokemon together into an entirely new Franken-mon. The result is usually something somewhat ridiculous-looking, if only because the pixels don't quite line up as they should. But artists from across the 'net decided to flesh out the combo-mons with full-fledged illustrations. These are some of the best.

Extreme Barbie Jeep Racing, A Dangerous Downhill Challenge in Plastic Toy Vehicles

by Justin Page
Pete Mecum

:D D:

In 2012, Busted Knuckle Films and a group of off-road enthusiasts took to the hills at Morris Mountain ORV Park during an RBD event in Heflin, Alabama for some Extreme Barbie Jeep Racing, a dangerous downhill challenge in plastic toy vehicles. To compete in the race, you must “take a power-wheels vehicle, break off the drive gear, go to a steep hill, climb aboard and watch the madness unfold.” You can read more about the race online.

Nothing is more hardcore than riding a plastic kids toy down a steep race course at breakneck speeds. Plastic will break, egos will be bruised. Who will come out on top?

The Most Fun you can Have on 15lbs of plastic! Footage from RBD 2010.

Mammas, Playful & Bizarre Short Films About Animal Motherhood by Isabella Rossellini

by EDW Lynch
Pete Mecum

Isabella Rossellini gets weirder every year.

Mammas is a playful & bizarre web series about animal motherhood that is written, directed, and performed by Isabella Rossellini. In each short episode, Rossellini dons elaborate costumes and acts out the behavior of a mother from the animal kingdom (including eating her own babies as a mamma hamster). Presented by the Sundance Channel, the series is the third installment of Green Porno.

Short Comedy Sketch About an Amish IT Guy Trying to Fix a Broke PC

by Justin Page

Look, he’s currently planing the monitor. He has absolutely no idea about IT.

The Australian production company Jungleboys released a short comedy sketch titled “Amish IT.” It shows a business man who gets locked out of his computer and is forced to rely on unsuccessful tech assistance from Jacob the Amish IT guy. An old school hand drill didn’t seem to do the trick. This sketch is one of many from the Jungleboys ongoing comedy series, The Elegant Gentleman’s Guide to Knife Fighting.

Eternal Darkness Successor Headed To Kickstarter, PC

by Nathan Grayson
Pete Mecum

YES!

Reality is a fragile thing. You might, for instance, be strolling through your house late at night, only to pause in paralytic fear, certain you saw some darkness-wreathed specter out of the corner of your eye. But then you blink away the fuzzy confusion, and all that remains is a gently wafting potted plant. Or your pet cat. Or a scattered flock of bats where a Dracula once stood. That was the basic idea behind Gamecube horror classic Eternal Darkness. What’s real? What’s not? Is the game totally fucking with me right now? Did it just delete my save? So naturally, I find spiritual successor Shadow of the Eternals’ presence on PC a bit dubious. I mean, it’s a bit too good to be true, if you ask me. Look, I’m gonna go poke it with a stick. If I don’t come back, it was probably actually a giant tarantula with my own face for eyes, hypnotizing me with endless chanting of all my greatest shames. So yeah, fair warning.

Now Available - Strike Suit Infinity

by Valve
Pete Mecum

HEY! It's that game!

Strike Suit Infinity is Now Available on Steam! Also owners of Strike Suit Zero get 50% off!*

Ok, cadet. This is it. All your training has brought you to this point - you are here for one reason only: to be the best.

Strike Suit Infinity is a frantic high score chaser where your skill is the only thing that matters. Whatever combat experience you have had so far is considered irrelevant. There is no end to the enemies you will face. There is no winning. There is only the fight for survival.

Take to the cockpit of one of three Strike Suits, engaging waves of enemies, building your multiplier and putting as many points on the board as possible. You’ll need to use your head, though. In between rounds, use credits to purchase upgrades and reinforcements, maximizing your potential in the next round. The longer you can stay alive, the bigger your score, and the higher up the leaderboard you’ll find yourself.

Engage intelligent enemy fighters and take on colossal capital ships, exploiting weak points in their super-structure to blow them apart piece by piece. Upgrade your Strike Suit and customize your weapon load-outs to tailor combat to your tastes. Take advantage of three very different Strike Suits to experience dogfighting action as you’ve never seen it before.

Cat Wearing a Shark Costume Chases a Duckling While Riding a Roomba Vacuum

by Rusty Blazenhoff

In this video from 2012 Max, a cat who loves to ride Roomba vacuums, sits on top of one while wearing a shark costume and chases a duckling around the room. Look for a cameo by Sharky, a pit bull in a hammerhead shark costume. We’re pretty sure that this is why the internet was invented.

Beating the Classic Arcade Game ‘Snake’ in a Mesmerizing Two-Minute Animated GIF

by Kimber Streams
Pete Mecum

Interesting. Game seems to be the hardest when the snake is taking up 2/3 of the screen.

Snake GIF

This animated GIF first posted on a Russian message board shows what it looks like to actually beat the classic arcade game Snake. In the GIF, the player eats all 100 pellets and their snake fills the entire screen. The full playthrough took 13 minutes and 17 seconds, while the sped-up version runs two minutes and six seconds.
