See Left 4 Dead 2's cast in Resident Evil 6

by Jordan Devore

Resident Evil 6 is out today on Steam and all I can say is, hey, points for trying. If you want to play this game, doing so on PC is by all accounts the way to go. Following up on its announcement of a crossover with Left 4 Dead 2 and Valve, Capcom has shared a video of what happens when the two franchises collide. It's every bit as weird as I expected, but that's far from a bad thing.

This footage shows off Coach, Nick, Ellis, and Rochelle in the new The Mercenaries: No Mercy mode as well as The Witch and Mini-Tanks that help add to the already chaotic on-screen action. This content will come by way of a free update on April 5, 2013.

The best part of this arrangement is that with the arrival of Coach in RE6, we're one step closer to having Uncle Phil in a Resident Evil game. Do me proud, modders.

PAX: DuckTales Remastered announced for XBLA, PSN, Wii U

by Jordan Devore

In today's "unexpected, f*cking awesome" news, Capcom has announced DuckTales Remastered for PlayStation Network, Wii U eShop, and Xbox Live Arcade. WayForward is handling development with a targeted summer release and $15 price point.

The debut trailer, embedded above, shows the new 2D hand-drawn sprites against a 3D backdrop. The game will feature original Disney voice actors in addition to a new tutorial level and Scrooge McDuck's Museum, which naturally acts as a hub for stat tracking and leaderboards.

There have been what-if DuckTales discussions for years and years. To hear that it's finally happening is incredibly exciting and has me wondering what other properties Capcom might be willing to bring back. Is this real life?

PAX: Capcom breathes new life into D&D arcade classics

by Fraser Brown

Capcom announced today at PAX that Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom and Shadow over Mystara, its sequel, would be getting remastered into an HD double-pack for modern platforms.

These two four-player arcade brawlers are getting a bunch of enhancements on top of their HD facelift, including a drop-in online feature, customizable rules, leaderboards, and in-game challenges that can be undetaken to gain level-ups and coins for spending in the vault, a "treasure trove" of unlockable content and extra goodies. The final extra is the Character Visualizer, which lets players track which character they and their friends use most often, the goal being to facilitate more balanced multiplayer parties.

Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara is set to launch in June on PC, PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, and Wii U eShop for $14.99 or 1200 Microsoft Points.
