Eidos Technology May Be a Step Towards Super Hero Suits

Well, we’re one more step close to Iron Man technology thanks to a group of students at the Royal College of Art in London.
This is the new Eidos technology and it has been prototyped in both an audio and visual form.
The first device is a mask goes over the mouth and ears and, by using a directional mic, lets the wearer focus on what they want to listen to while masking the ambient noise. It then sends the sound vibrations through the headphones and mouthpiece to the inner ear bone which “creates the unique sensation of hearing someone talk right inside your head”.
Jasper has nothing on Eidos.
The second device enhances visual input and then sends that input to an internal computer within the mask. From there, you can look at and review that footage with several filters, one of which breaks it down as a high speed time lapse.
I’ll be honest, maybe you should watch the video. I think Eidos is cool and I get what it does, in theory, but I’m hard pressed to explain it without block quoting all sorts of stuff

(Video Alert) Dem. Schumer wants to block 3D plastic guns from being made by Austin based company

New York Sen. Charles Schumer says the ability for making an untraceable and undetectable gun with a 3D printer is "stomach-churning." The senator on Sunday displayed a photo of a plastic gun made by a Texas company using the 3D printer technology. He said the guns are capable of firing real bullets and pass unnoticed through metal detectors. Schumer said the technology means anyone "can open a gun factory in their garage." He said the company, Defense Distributed, last week announced it had successfully made the plastic gun using a 3D printer. The senator said the company plans to post blueprints for the weapon online this week. A spokesman for the company couldn't be reached for comment.

Bethesda has announced it has opened a Play Test Lab in Dallas, Texas, inside the offices of id Software. The lab will be used to test upcoming games with local Dallas players, and Bethesda promises some extra "games or swag" to anyone who comes in for testing.
You'll need to be 18 or over to apply, and Bethesda says it's looking for gamers of all types, both casual and hardcore. If you're around Dallas and want to put your name in the hat, you can sign up on the website right now.
