7 Usos de la sal que probablemente desconocías

by pulsodigital@gmail.com (Francisco Hernandez)

A Durable, Foldable, Smashable Wall Clock

by Caroline Williamson

A Durable, Foldable, Smashable Wall Clock

The NEW TIME wall clock lets you have a say in the final look of the clock you hang on your wall. Designed by Veronika Szalai, the clock is made from a paper-like textile that lets you fold it, smash it, or crumple it into a ball without ruining it.

NEW-TIME-wall-clock-Veronika-Szalai-2

The design leaves it up to you to create the desired look and surface by how you shape it.

Not only is the durable material important to the design, it’s the packaging also. So, unfold it, slap a battery in it and sculpt away.

The surface cleans easily with smooth, dry or wet sponges.

Bizarre brutalist and experimental Soviet bus stops

by David Pescovitz

1*0P1FCD6rCsdEWnKPPuVFTQ

Over the course of 12 years, photographer Christopher Herwig traveled more than 18,000 miles around Eastern Europe to photograph the incredible, brutalist, experimental, and downright bizarre bus stops built during the Communist era. He compiled the results into a new book titled Soviet Bus Stops.

“I’d never seen such a variety of creative expression applied to a public structures before,” Herwig told Vantage. “The designers pushed the limits of their imaginations. They did not hold back and sometimes, maybe, even they went too far...These bus stops are less about the Soviet Union as a whole and more about the local regions and individual artists … people who were often creatively oppressed.”

A Visual History Of Every Single Oreo Flavor, Ever

by Zoe Bain
Gecco.89

D: nomas conozco como 3 de toodas esas versiones..

Oreos are having a moment. Sure, the iconic cookies have a pretty permanent place in American culture (and our hearts) at this point. But with all the buzz around consistent rollouts of limited-edition flavors, the country's Oreo obsession seems to have taken on new (sugary) heights.

Our love for Oreos runs deep. Whether we're doing the twist-and-lick, classic dunking, or using the cookies to make even more decadent desserts, we can't seem to get enough of the simple packaged sweets. And we're definitely not alone there. Over the course of Oreo's 100-year history, there have been quite a few different takes on the classic sandwich cookie. To get a better understanding of the crazy evolution of the Oreo (just how did we end up with a Cinnamon Bun flavor?!), we rounded up every single flavor we could find. Ahead, check out the 50+ variations and see how many you've tried!

If You Really Cared About Getting Enough Protein, You'd Be Eating Bugs

by Sara Coughlin
Gecco.89

yeaaaah.. but no.

embedDave Pressland/REX Shutterstock
Before you even ask, no, this is not some pre-Halloween prank. This is science. It's still a little gross, but that's how science is sometimes, and a new study from Oxford University is set on keeping it that way: Turns out, bugs are probably a better source of protein than regular meat.

Related: Ask The Diet Doctor: Are Plants Or Meat Better Sources Of Iron?

Researchers compared the protein content in 100 grams of insects and more conventional meats (chicken, beef, and pork), only to find that the bugs were richer in not only protein, but other nutrients, as well. The bugs tested included bees, crickets, mealworms, and caterpillars. We'll give you a moment to mourn the poor guys who never got to be butterflies.

Related: 5 Nutrients Even Healthy People Forget About

Our friends at Shape were quick to point out that eating insects seems outlandish only to some people, specifically those living in the United States. In countries including Mexico, Thailand, and Brazil, it's commonplace to snack on chocolate-covered or deep-fried creepy crawlies. While that actually sounds kind of tasty to us (these treats are available to order online for those interested), if you're slightly less adventurous, you can try out small ingredient tweaks, like using cricket flour, as a way to incorporate insects into your eating routine more gradually.

Click through to Shape for more useful, if unconventional, healthy eating tips. (Shape)

Coming Soon: $69 Flights From U.S. To Europe

by Erin Fitzpatrick
air-embedPhoto: Simon Dawson/Bloomberg via Getty Images.
Ever dreamed of a romp through the Scottish countryside or a stroll along a Scandinavian fjord? Then you might know the feeling of having your fanciful hopes dashed by exorbitant airfare costs. But cheer up, because that might not be the case for long. Globe-trotters may soon be worshipping at the shrine of Norwegian Air.

According to NBC News, the airline's CEO Bjørn Kjos announced on Tuesday that the company plans to "sell one-way tickets to Europe for $69 as early as 2017 by flying from U.S. airports that have low fees." The company is currently considering flights to Edinburgh, Scotland and Bergen, Norway. On the U.S. end, Norwegian Air is looking at airports like Westchester County Airport in New York and Bradley International Airport in Connecticut.

"The potential plans are part of Norwegian's broader move to cut prices and take share from traditional flag carriers that dominate trans-Atlantic flying," NBC said. Round-trip tickets may average closer to $300, but that's still not a bad deal. Who's up for a trip to Edinburgh?
