Artists Turn City Potholes Into Street Art
Philip.paulssonWithout photoshop?? Hrmmmm
Claudia Ficca and Davide Luciano turn one of the cities most annoying obstacles into little works of art.
Anyone who lives in a city knows potholes can be a pain. So artists Claudia Ficca and Davide Luciano decided to take the matter into their own hands.

They decided to make art out of them.

Watch This Heartwarming Rescue Of Deer On A Frozen Lake
Philip.paulssonI want a hovercraft!
This rescue story involves hovercrafts, GoPros, and two cute deer stuck on a frozen lake. Thanks to some Minnesotan ingenuity, this story has a happy ending!
Two deer were stranded in the middle of Albert Lea Lake in Minnesota.

The only way James Kenison and his dad could rescue the deer was to gently tow them back to shore using their hovercraft.

Because the deer had been out on the lake for a few days at that point...

...it took them a minute to regain their footing.

Man Dies After Carbon Monoxide Poisons Dozens Of Diners At Long Island Restaurant
Philip.paulssonThat is some scary shit.
The man died on Saturday evening after 28 people — including three police officers — were overcome by carbon monoxide at the Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington Station.
The New York Daily News reports Suffolk County police were called to Legal Sea Foods at the Walt Whitman Mall at about 6 p.m. on Saturday.

They evacuated the building after they found the manager, Steven Nelson, 55, and an unidentified woman suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning in the building’s basement.
The officers began to feel dizzy and nauseous and recognised the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Suffolk police would later confirm that Nelson had died. There were 27 other victims, including restuarant employees, ambulance personnel and three police officers. They were taken to five area hospitals and are said to be doing well.

Carbon monoxide is an odorless, colorless gas that can kill in minutes.

Investigators were inspecting the basement heating system. Legal Seafood, Panera Bread and the Cheesecake Factory have been evacuated for precautionary reasons.

Cassini Spacecraft Crosses Saturn's Ring Plane
Philip.paulssonSo cool.
Cassini Spacecraft Crosses Saturn's Ring Plane If this is Saturn, where are the rings? When Saturn's "appendages" disappeared in 1612, Galileo did not understand why. Later that century, it became understood that Saturn's unusual protrusions were rings and that when the Earth crosses the ring plane, the edge-on rings will appear to disappear. This is because Saturn's rings are confined to a plane many times thinner, in proportion, than a razor blade. In modern times, the robot Cassini spacecraft orbiting Saturn now also crosses Saturn's ring plane. A series of plane crossing images from 2005 February was dug out of the vast online Cassini raw image archive by interested Spanish amateur Fernando Garcia Navarro. Pictured above, digitally cropped and set in representative colors, is the striking result. Saturn's thin ring plane appears in blue, bands and clouds in Saturn's upper atmosphere appear in gold. Details of Saturn's rings can be seen in the high dark shadows across the top of this image, taken back in 2005. Moons appear as bumps in the rings.

What's Your Pitchfork Score?
Philip.paulssonI got a 0.0. With no explanation. I don't even know what a pitchfork score is. I am guessing it has something to do with music.
Let us officially calculate what you’re worth to the universe.
What Should Your College Major Actually Be?
Philip.paulsson"Hard working" is literally the last term I would use to describe myself!
You got Electrical Engineering: "You’re smart, you’re ambitious, and you’re incredibly smart. You spend a lot of time trying to come up with “the next big thing” because you want to change the world, and you know that innovation is the best way to do that. You’re hard working and clever: With a combination like that, there’s no going wrong."
Take this quiz before you make any MAJOR life decisions.

How Many Five Year Olds Can You Take In A Fight?
Philip.paulssonSeems kinda high... and I didn't even exaggerate any answers! Maybe 5yr olds just aren't that tough?
You got 52!
"52?! 52! I am in awe. You are a true child-whoopin’ hero. They should hold a ceremony in your honor. They should rename Devry University in your honor. They should rename that Foo Fighters’ album “In Your Honor” in your honor."
Finally, an answer to the eternal question . Note: you should never, ever attempt to beat up a five year old, ya knucklehead.

Canada Women's Hockey Snatches Gold From U.S. With One Of The Most Heartbreaking Comebacks Ever
Philip.paulssonTwo great women's hockey games yesterday. Sadly Sweden lost the bronze medal match though...
WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!
Some people say a 2-0 lead in hockey is the most dangerous lead in sports. Today, Team USA women's hockey proved those people right.

With less than four minutes remaining in the gold medal women's hockey game between the U.S. and Canada, Team USA held a 2-0 lead. They could almost taste victory. They could feel the gold medal around their neck. For 56 minutes the Team USA had dominated the Canadians in every facet of the game — and it only took 152 seconds for it all to change.
