Evropljanjima je dosta zimskog i ljetnjeg računanja vremena šro su pokazali i rezultati ankete Europske komisije obajavljeni ove sedmice u kojoj su Evropljani glasali žele li ukinuti pomicanje satova na proljeće i jesen.

U okviru rekonstrukcije gradskih saobraćajnica, krajem ove sedmice počeće radovi na rekonstrukciji dijela trotoara od mosta na rijeci Vrbas prema Gradskom olimpijskom bazenu.

Kako su naveli iz nadležnog Odjeljenja za saobraćaj i puteve, predviđena je izgradnja jednostranog trotoara u dužini od oko 350 metara.

Iz budžeta Grada, za ove radove izdvojeno je oko 90.000 KM.

Rok za završetak je 60 dana od uvođenja u posao.

KFC have been pretty successful in their advertising over the years. From their iconic ‘colonel,’ to wacky ideas like chicken-scented candles, and controversial ads that top the ‘most complained about commercials’ lists, they certainly have a way of getting their name and logo out there.

I’m no fan of the chain myself, but this particular campaign did capture my attention with its simplicity and creative imagery. The concept is simple. Fiery, spicy chicken, photoshopped onto explosive images like a rocket taking off, or a drag-racer accelerating. Fried chicken under a rocket? How does that possibly work? Fair question. But work it does, spectacularly!

We spoke to John Koay, creative director at Ogilvy & Mather, who were the brains behind this and many other of KFC’s famous ad campaigns. He gave us some background as to how the idea was born. “Well, we were sitting at our desks one night eating KFC, thinking about how could we show the hot sensation without showing the cliché of people with tears rolling down their eyes or tongues sticking out,” he told Bored Panda. “So we looked at the product more closely then finally realized the fried chicken also looked like something else…”

So they set to work to bring their vision to life, working with what John says are “the best retouchers out there,” Illusion CGI Bangkok. “These guys photographed the chicken with careful lighting and together we worked on how to make fried chicken look like detailed explosions. It was hard but it was fun. We studied a lot of explosions… lots!”

Here’s how people reacted to the fiery chicken

 

A biology student got an unexpected lesson recently, when she found out about her mother’s infidelity through a blood-type discussion given in class.

The biology class, given at California State University, was about the characteristics of blood-types and how they are passed down from generation to generation. They were practising using a Punnett square, which is a diagram that is used to predict an outcome of a particular cross or breeding experiment. The student was reportedly confused as to why her blood-type was AB when her mother’s was A and her father’s O. This is an impossible occurrence, as the A and B genes are dominant and the O gene is recessive. So, as in this example, if an O gene is paired with an A gene, the blood type will be A.

The teacher, sure there was a mistake somewhere, asked the student to go home and confirm that all blood-types were correct. She did, and came back with an incredible revelation that took incredible courage to tell to the entire class.
