LrbeverWith the repubs in senate and house, there's no way we're going to start with clean power alternatives any time soon.

Lrbeverwoooooo
Carl Sagan was born 80 years ago today. Although we’re still mourning his passing, he left a legacy of curiosity and optimism worthy of celebration.

Bubbles, Green Army Men, and Rubiks Cube Beat Pony in Toy Hall of Fame 2014 Inductees
LrbeverNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
It looks like we ended up losing in the end on the Toy Hall of Fame choices. While we seemed to have dominated the poll, a few of the lower rated ones were eventually chosen as the top 3.
Rubiks Cube, Green Army Men, and Bubbles in general have come out on top. Maybe next year!
You can find their full listing over here.
Thanks to SleepySteve, PinkiePie97, and everyone else for sending it!

Wiles: Halloween Causes Demonic Possession
LrbeverMy mom has similar beliefs.
Did you take your kids trick or treating last week? Did they come back possessed by demons? I don’t mean a sugar buzz, I mean real, actual demons — you know, the kind that don’t actually exist. Rick Wiles thinks you have no one but yourself to blame, you should have known it would happen.
After arguing that Christians cannot participate in Halloween traditions like dressing up in costumes or trick-or-treating because the day is “dedicated to Lucifer and death,” Wiles said that those who partake are “opening yourself up to demonic possession.”
“The demons are moving, they’re stirring in this country right now,” he warned.
“I am admonishing you to stop it, come out of it, do not be part of pagan America’s rituals, walk away from it, disavow it, renounce it, it is evil, it is wicked,” he added, regretting that “they are doing the most vile acts on live television,” including what he perceived to be “live demonic rituals on television shows.”
“The demonic spirits are moving about in this country.”
Yeah, you might wanna stop watching scary movies. They aren’t real.
My girlfriend is away on tour, while on the phone with her she dropped this on me the other day.

How to solve a physics problem
LrbeverI am sure it's not easy to do physics; but it's not easy being a poet either.
Buster Keaton was a crazy mofo! Crew members threatened to quit and begged him not to do this scene. The cameraman looked away while rolling. A six ton prop, it brushes his arm as it comes down, and he doesn't even flinch.
Lrbeverdamn
Ran through the airport so I wouldn't miss my flight. Was greeted by this guy in the seat next to me. Glad I made it!
LrbeverGuess he's not on the road again.
A Puzzling Exit
LrbeverI want a headstone with a puzzle on it

Canadian doctor Samuel Bean created a curious tombstone for his first two wives, Henrietta and Susanna, who died in succession in the 1860s and are buried side by side in Rushes Cemetery near Crosshill, Wellesley Township, Ontario. The original stone weathered badly and was replaced with this durable granite replica in 1982. What does it say?
Napoleon is Magic
LrbeverYes! Though he forgot that they have earth pony powers too!
